The creation of Iya and her husband occurred in a marshy Ile-Ife (or portion of Ile-Ife), meaning that there may have been a local flood. After a long while there was a global flood and when the flood waters receded the descendants of Noah migrated from Oramfe (not Ararat: Ora(m)- > Ara- and -fe > rat) to the east to begin another phase in history and because west and central africa would have been too marshy. The Adamu/Adimu story is not borrowed. Haven't you heard of the Orisha Adamu play staged during the Eyo festival, and the story from Oyo about the origin of the title 'Ooni of Ife'? Likewise the story of 'Iya' is part of traditional Yoruba history. An european recorded it in a book about the Yoruba people which he published about 130 years ago though he did not link it to Eve.
