i don't see any moral altitude associated with this picture, can this portray a leadership style in OYO - state?
jaybossYBNL:
Nollywood actress Funke Adesiyan has won the APC ticket to contest for the Oyo State House of
Assembly.

She has broken the "primaries jinx" at the ongoing elections.

Funke Adesiyan has followed the footsteps of Desmond Olushola Elliot who won the APC ticket for the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Funke Adesiyan and Desmond Olushola Elliot are the only entertainers that won the primaries for the 2015 general elections so far While Kenny Saint Best, Dayo Adeneye, Tony Tetuilla, Kate Henshaw and 9ice lost out of the primaries.

Meanwhile 9ice has appealed his loss in the election.

nawa for naija! when is bomb now turn to nock-out for everyone.
phantom: Two alleged Improvised Explosive Devices (IEAs) were Monday diffused by the police anti-bomb squad. They were planted directly in front of the post office in Area 10, Garki, Abuja.

The parcel was wrapped and addressed to the Minister of Finance.

The Post Master General, (PMG) of the Federation, Mr. Ibrahim Mori Baba, said the parcel was planted last Friday by a man he described as insane. He said he could not confirm if it was a bomb or otherwise.

He said the security operative told reporters that they would do their job and determine if what exploded was a bomb.

Politics / Re: Economic Reforms Not Easy In Nigeria – Jonathan by amusbay(m): 5:01pm On Jan 16, 2013
when u are coward
Maxymilliano: President Goodluck Jonathan told the World Bank yesterday that undertaking reforms in a tense political landscape such as Nigeria was a very herculean task.

He, however, reaffirmed his Administration’s resolve to stop at nothing in implementing all the needed reforms necessary for accelerated economic growth, job creation and poverty alleviation in Nigeria.

The president, who spoke at an audience with the World Bank’s Vice President for Africa, Mr. Mouktar Diop, noted that although it was not easy to undertake certain reforms in an intensely political environment, the Federal Government under his leadership would continue to evolve and implement policies that would ensure sustainable development and the long-term well-being of the nation.

Appreciating Diop’s commendation of his administration’s stewardship of the Nigerian economy, the President said that with the continued support of the World Bank, other international institutions and investors, the Federal Government would achieve an even higher growth rate for the national economy.

“We will continue to do our best. We would have had more robust growth by now but for the global economic recession. With your continued support, we will certainly achieve more”, Jonathan said, adding that Nigeria will particularly welcome more support for the World Bank for the concluding stages of its power sector reforms.

Politics / Re: Obasanjo Warns Against Another Civil War! by amusbay(m): 4:24pm On Jan 16, 2013
Hardfact: …As Uduaghan promises job opportunities to ex-servicemen
FORMER President, Olusegun Obasanjo, Tuesday, cautioned Nigerian leaders against acts that could lead to anothercivil war , even as he shunned the request by Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State, to lay a wreath at the Armed Forces Remembrance Day in Abeokuta.
Obasanjo who spoke on the occasion for fallen heroes at Arcade ground in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Ogun State, said Nigerians should learn from history. He urged government at all levels to remember the families of the slain soldiers.
Lamenting the loss of many security personnel during civil and international wars, he said Nigerian leaders should ensure that what led to the previous wars did not reccur.
According to Obasanjo, “war is not a picnic. When you engage in wars, lives are bound to be lost. That is why, as much as possible, wars should be avoided. For us in Nigeria, even when we were fighting against the colonial power, we lost Nigerians in Burma, in East Africa. But since the days of the constabulary, because that is where the Nigerian Army started from, Nigerian security forces have been losing lives either in support of civil authority or in fighting local wars.
Constant reminders these are the people that know what it's take to fight war,,,, so, all thes idiot politician that are not mature during civil war should be caution against their utterances and actions.
”The aim of this celebration is to constantly remember the sacrifice that the fallen heroes have made. It is also to constantly remind usthat they left familiesbehind who need to be catered for”
Meanwhile, there wasa mild drama at the armed forces Remembrance Day ceremony when former President Obasanjo shunned the request by governor Amosun to lay a wreath.
When Obasanjo’s name was mentioned as part of the dignitaries to lay the wreath, the former President declined despite pleas by thegovernor.
The programme was put on hold as many dignitaries including the Deputy governor, Segun Adesegun, the Iyalode of Egbaland, Alaba Lawson, pleaded with him to reconsider his stance.
Vanguard gathered that Obasanjo’s anger was because his name was not in the brochure as partof those that would lay the wreath.

lekanolas: Nigeria's Defence Minister Falls To Artillery Fire

Minister of State for Defence, Erelu Olusola Obada, collapsed into the hands of military officers today when the deafening sounds of artillery fire reverberated in celebration of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day in Abuja.
Reports claimed that there was no announcement, as is usual on such an occasion, before the artillery fire rented the air.
The development was said to have startled the minister, who slumped, before her military aides jumped to her rescue.
After regaining her composure, Erelu Obada came back to lay a wreath at the Remembrance Arcade.
Later yesterday afternoon, Obada, who looked hale and hearty, was in the State House with Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala when President Goodluck Jonathan met with Vice President of the World Bank, Murkhtar Diop.
