Religion / Re: What Qualifies One To Be A Pastor? by ANALIST: 7:19pm On Oct 30, 2012
In as much as every believer is obligated by Matt. 28 to preach to the world, I strongly opine that for one to stand on the pulpit of the Church and represent the authority of God there should be a training like the orthodox churches do.

We may not do it through legislation but we must denounce the greed for money and pride which leads many to call themselves pastors and bishops. This must be discourage. The work an Evangelist is enough to fulfill the will of God.

Politics / Re: Ribadu Report: No Cover-up - Jonathan by ANALIST: 3:19pm On Oct 30, 2012
Must we sacrifice due process in the alter of our expectation of anything, even as national concern as the Oil royalties and remittances etc, due to our dear country? Must we rant when there is always legally administrative order of administering the state affairs which we all do, by our constitution belong? Must we study Administrative law before we can understand what white paper is all about? Must we remember the IBB indicted white paper that got loss in the height of revision some time ago?

Why must we as Nigerians divert and direct an unbiased report of Punch Newspaper to what never could have anticipatorily happen.
Some have in their minds inculcated the practices of the past Military administration, where radio and televion broadcast were the opposite of the agenda (called Michavelian theory of governance, fogetting the democratic revolution which Nigerians have embrased till date) than to look upon the promises of this administration and judge it by its action or inactions which shall stand, even before GOD ALMIGHTY as evidence that we gave It(the government) the benefit of our doubts and they failed or faithfully administered our DEMOCRATIC Institutions in the constitutional and morally manner for the benefit of all.

For all that can be glanced from the drama in the social and print media, is that many unemployed non-citizen(for no Nigerian could think so myopic) have been recruited or greedily devoting themselves to picking holes where there is none.

I remember not too long ago that one of the Cabals masqueraded himself to court to ask for the invalidation of the committee which its report is now again the contention of political unemployed.
Then my dear, they argued that the legal maxim DELEGATUS NON POTEST DELEGARE-simply put a delegate can not delegate applied where a minister constitutes a committee of inquiry which has become the most transparent of unearthing fraud in governance. No doubt they failed and will continue to fail.

Let's analyse dear, in administrative law there is what is called certiorari which a High court uses on application iand invocation of it by an agrieved person to reverse or nullify any action of government that is contrary to the constitution and indeed the laws made by the National Assembly.

To position our countrymen, we must as a matter of obligation and duty look into the affairs of government in an objective manner than subjective. Our mind must be first dispossessed of all the undemocratic and unprogressive attitudes we have had in our minds if we must live up to a true Nigerian which we deserve to be called in and out side this country.

For those who do not know, legally a committee cannot submit a report without it been reviewed by the government through the office of the Attorney Attorney general to look into the report, it's legal, economic and politcal implications and make their final submission on it.

What I expect all the unconstructive critics to do is to stop where the government has stopped, vigilantly watch the outcome of every project and policy, question why things are not done the way they expected it and even go to court and enforce their rights as Nigerians where they are infringed, as GANI SAN, DID EVEN IN THE FACE OF THE DICTATORIAL MILITARY GOVERNMENT, than to resort to political misinformation based on unverifiable calculation which can lead to some grudge, hate and destabilisation of the polity.

We have left the era of unquestionable government- where the governed must accept everything as said and done into a people participatory democratic dispensation where we all account to the Citizen all we have said, done or about to do and indeed the world at large( for we are now in a global village)
Let's make haste why there is time, for our co- existence as a great nation is greater than our individual greed and ambitions of anyone here or yet to come.

Politics / Re: National Good Governance Tour Kicks Off In Benue State by ANALIST: 2:14pm On Oct 30, 2012
The tour is real and had not only come to stay but has revealed( and will continue to reveal more), more ground breaking projects of governments- both state and federal in all the states. Though many may not be happy about this tour but we know that as it is with other ventures, there must be critics.
But as a TRUE NIGERIAN I am not only in support of the tour but will suggest we make it an annual policy of government so we can evaluate physically and tangibly of all the projects that we are told that are under construction or completion. In this sense my dearest reader, we can condemn or appreciate the effort or otherwise of any government in power and have the audacity of clarity to do justice on them by our public opinion and judgement.

The question we must ask is what will the people, government and institutions benefit from this tour? Is it part of government duty to showcase its projects or not? What is the significance of this tour?etc.
To analyse, we must understand government and why we are governed in the first place( may be greed and desperation have denied us the first study of live-politics, for every man " is a political animal"wink before expecting dividend of any type of government which democracy is the best so far practised.
Government has the sole duty to organise, manage and distribute the human and natural resource of the polity for te overall utilisation and benefit of all, otherwise known in political science as allocation of scarce resources.
This is why and where the interest of every Nigeria comes in, in the activities, policies and agenda of every leader in government. The projects shown so far in Plateau, Niger and Benue state have not only economic and human capital development bearing on Nigeria but stimulates and motivates every right thinking Nigerian that it takes only POLITICAL WILL(which we've practically seen) and the decision on the part of Nigerians to work hard for us to get to the promised land; where citizens of other nations will seek Nigerian citizenship because of the benefits and security of their posterity like other developed countries of the world
. We must use now than ever the 100,000 cubic metric tones of water in Benue state, 350 bed capacity of 500 staffs with 10 professors and 50 Doctors of Benue state university teaching hospital, the new port construction in Niger state, the renewed international aiports etc as Nigerians for our Agricultural, health and business activities to mention but a few-thereby increasing our development and longevity.

The government in touring these site should not be seen as self-praising, but should be seen as the most practical way and means of matching action with words. For insatance dear friends, at one of the sites of a school block yesterday the Infomation minister Maku, made an instant inquiry why a cracked project should continue when it is obvious that the quality of work done is below standard. For the stuttering principal she could not help but give her own side of the story. Such is the transparency we need. In a polity where citizens will understand from every location we might be what the government is doing in other parts of te country.

It is no hidden knowledge that private sectors moves in line with government agenda and policies which is why investors study countries' and states budgets in order to know where to plunge in their money for fast return on investment(ROI).This can be seen in Akwa Ibom states, Bayelsa and indeed the ubiquitous projects of the Federal Government.

Therefore it should be foreseen that the exposition of the strategic projects for economic development of the Federal and state governments will in addition induce local and foreign investors in many state and diverse area of our economic and plitical development thereby making Nigeria a fast growing economy like other Asian countries.
Government through oversight by the Legislature and verification tour otherwise termed "Good Governance Tour" is not only needed but desired for all to know what the facts on governance and developmental projects stands at.

The significance therefore, is that Nigerians must stand tall and look at the derivable benefits of these projects which are enormous and take advantage of ten all.
It is a welcome development for all.

Politics / Re: Nigeria Among Worst 10 Governed Nations Of Africa; Mo Ibrahim Governance Report. by ANALIST: 12:26pm On Oct 30, 2012
IT IS ONE THING TO MAKE A COMMENT ON A REPORT A FOUNDATION AND ANOTHER TO MAKE THE RIGHT OBSERVATION BASED ON THE EXPERIENCE, AND REALITIES ON GROUND.
Lets exray what ou leadership News man-SAM NDA-ISAIAH says about the MO IBRAHIM FOUNDATION's report. There are so many development from 2007 till date when the Yar'Adua/Jonathan administration came in, must be mentioned if we must compare our 2011 to other countries(the report is based on 2011 governance data.)
This has the signal that there is much than drawing government attention to what MO IBRAHIM FOUNDATION is saying, for we must through this report acknowledge that insecurity is the worst thing that can happen to any government which has been used by so many politicians in the guise of Boko Haram to distract government attention and plan of work.
The fluctuation in the data in terms of rule of law and judiciary for instance is a clear indication that we must look in the direction of peace than unconstructive criticism.

First in Nigeria, in 2007 Human development moved from 44 to 48 in 2012 which came as a result of dedication of the government which was pursued vigorously by the Yara'dua/Jonathan administration.
Second, Sustainable economic opportunity rose from 40 in 2007 to 41 in 2012,.
Third, participation and human right rose from 37 in 2008 to 38 in 2011, etc.

In this report, we must observe that no country has ever moved more than 4 units which means that development can never be realised by a magic wand but by the effort of everyone in or out of government.
Most importantly, is the fact that it is obvious even to a blind man that the overall position from 2007 to 2011 which the study covers shows that security, centripital and centrfugal forces of political manipulators have most impacted negatively ondevelopment and growth of every nation.

Mauritius and Somalia as the top and bottom liners in the report should further our research and search for the solution of our protracted and chronic problems than apportionment of blames, hate and prejudices against anyone, and the less this administration. For every Nigeria politically enlighten we know that we have undergone military Dictators, political Impostors imposed on us by Godfathers who knows nothing about governance or human and infrastructural developmental which are the engines of good governance that produces the fruits of democratic dividends.

Nigeria like never before is in the course for higher economic and political development which all, including San Ndah-Isaiah have seen, touched and felt.
We must stop terroristic strategy against government which ruins the plans and developmental strategy, if we desire sincerely, a true democracy which include and not limited to Mo IBRAHIM Foundation Index but to the well being of all Nigerians.
And I must say at this juncture that verdict of the foundation is not the verdict of the world as put forward by Sam and can never be "very, very bad" for GEJ as was not to JFK in 1962 when facing the Russian in Cuba misile buid-up as contended by Sam, nay Mo IBRAHIM foundation.
We must be patriots and not recalcitrant biased critics of mere political manipulator.
Politics / Re: Why Do Nigerians View Hard Work As 'suffering'? by ANALIST: 10:17am On Oct 30, 2012
I totally agree with you dear, we must look inwardly to discover that even Abraham Lincoln was a mechanic cum lawyer who boasted of studying law alone on his own while doing his mechanic work before becoming a president.
To day in Nigeria everyone want to work in ministries, department and agencies of government where they can become more and more lacadestic and inefficient untill they are retired or dies in service.Or multinational that will pay more and keep them on the ignorance of contract staff-serving those that ought to serve them. It is very disheartening to see great youths of a great country like Nigeria go about looking for only white collar jobs while we can augument the efforts of every government through hard work and innovation on what is already on the ground.
. This is most ripe time for the Nigerians to look into the statement of the JFK, statement it to say " what can we do for Nigeria, not what Nigerai can do for us". The current flood and more of other social challenges foreseable for a fast growing in population that in wisdom and diginity of hard work like Nigerians desreve aconserted affort by all and sundry. This does not mean that government on their side should not do their part which they've been doing, but that government must intensify their action on programmes such as the YOUWIN projects, the newly introduced technical education from colleges of education(technical) which has released forms for anyone who wish to have technical knowledge, the micro financing of Agro and other business venture to other business such as automobile, etc.

Let me compare a little. If we look at USA as a country this self-reawakening of what we can do for our dear country was Americans driving force even before the indefagable and wise JFK made it known to all. Chinaese today have taken that same route that leads to greatness. We, as Nigerians must start to research areas to venture and work towards greater nation, development and economic independent of other countries through wise hard work that explores and exploits our potentials to the benefits of Nigeria and indeed the whole word.

Today, we need than ever before Nigeria productions and services by Nigerians to attain the height that GOD HAS DEPOSITED IN OUR GREAT LAND, for oil never lasts forever and has lots of enemies if not properly managed and distributed as we've seen so far in the Niger Delta and indeed the Reston the world-if we must learn.
This is because from ancient times till date only service can give one a legitimate power or authority over other(see Robert collier's THE SECRET OF THE AGES).
THE EARLIER WE EMBRACE WISE HARD WORK THE EARLIER NIGERIA WILL BE STABLISE FOR US ALL.

That was a good one, dear. How do we go there? Should be the question that you needed to proffer. In every political setting there is always Critics. But the biference even in the US political Critics and Nigeria is that they proffer solution that the government may consider as realist and make amends. But in Nigeria we have intelligent but greedy political Elites that do not care what the next generation of this great country will look like, but tries by all means to gain power and subdue others, in the name knowing how to govern more than anyother.
To make noise is the voice of the empty tanker which does not contain any substance.
One who does not have solution should stop ranting.

It is no longer news that how and what ever the presidency looks or does will become an avenue for charlatan like you to pick up as an issue. It' does border much on how we blame anyone for the bedeviling of our country, but we not hastily forget when and how it started; when women gave orders for the release of state funds to anyone she deemed favored, when our national income through oil was used to compensate some Ex-General for their meritorious service to the nation, when adjustment in standard of living of Nigerians was made by force on all vied government policy, when contracts of national development was sacrificed and diverted into electrol campaign and winning it by all means, when things fell apart because the centre can not hold its water, when Crusader where killed because they demanded for Fair play in the affairs of governance, not to mention the acceptance of fraud in the electrol system that brought them to power, to mention but a few. These are all CORRUTION, MAL-ADMINISTRATION AND NEGLECT OF RESPONSILITY IN GOVERNANCE.
All must be ready and put in their best to ensure that we roll back this demon called CORRUPTION which knoweth not the intention of men unless we, through our greed accept its thoughts and demands.
This is the time for TRANSFORMATION OF MIND AND APPROACH TO ISSUES SENSITIVE OR NOT.

All who tends to comment on this issue must first of all listen to the both sides which is in law called AUDI ALTAREM PATEM. In international relation there lies an area of study call called mutual understanding which takes into cognizance the effects of government policies and decision to other Countries of the world which I believ Gabon know.

As a member of international community, Gabon and Nigeria have enjoy, at least cordial relationship(hence there has not been any open face-off between both countries) which we can attest to if we are to bow our prejudices, bias and pre-judged mind on whom to blame and the generally accepted principle of fair hearing.
As a true Democrate and tenacious upholder, Believer and Crusader of the Sovereignty, Territorial Integrity of Nigerian and It's people I can not pretend not to know what the effect of this development entails to our position in the international community and of course Our people living in oher countries This has a lot to do with the issues, agreements and finally the decisions reached by our government and that of Gabon before this time.
I want to pause here, and say that we all have to keep our eyes, ears and if need be nose open and clear to really get to what the two countries positions is/are on this issue than to see it as an affront to Nigeria and It's people.

Flowing from this therefore, anyone in any particular location privilege to see Politician hijacking any material meant for the displaced should immediately alert the security Officials and or, arrest.

Sure, Mafian coming into the oil industry to show his tactics instead of bringing in transformation ideas to bear in our reach economy and, as he said "contribute the present administration's transformation agenda".

Obviously, every Tom,Dick and Harry will always key into the agenda of every administration to gain attention of the administration. But the question that shall direct our opinion about the EPIC's project should be( since he is keying into the current administration's transformation agenda):
A.what is the transformation agenda of the present administration for the oil industry?
B. what does Nigeria and indeed Nigerians stand to get from this business venture nay keying into transformation agenda?
C. What has been the precedent, capacity and terms of the agreement between the EPIC and their KOREAN partners which will sustain and maintain this project for a long period of time?
D. And is it really in the interest of Nigerians which the government represent to embark on this venture?ETC

We tenaciously demand more explanation from the BUSINESS MAFIAN and indeed the GOVERNMENT on the some of the questions above in order to ascertain whether we have being kept in darkness of how refined products can be imported less expensive or we have another offspring of CABALISM coming up to erode the position of the present administration on how Nigeria can maintain a petroleum industry sector for the good of the common man on the street who careless of governance.

75 Naira per liter should not blind our eyes to the neo-colonialism we-independent and Federal Republic People of Nigeria have experience as we surrender to foreign, local and government administrative ventures without proper questioning and analyzing what pro and cons are.
