submitted on the 27th and got an email today saying my application had been approved and my visa has been issued and should be in the VFS for pick up in 2 days so 6 working days! thank God!

elyasnawabi: Guyz my status got updated this evening to "your application is being sent to the application center, please wait until ready for collection". I am so happy I hope I have a got a visa on my passport, finally the wait has been over. Thanks this to forum and the lovely people posting here every time I read this forum it gave me an encouragement.
I will update you guyz soon when I collect my documents.

Should be able to get it tomorrow. Mine changed to that around 3 yest and by 9 ish when i checked it said i should pick it up was already on my way to the vfs when i got a text

Not at all. Your completed form gives a bar code which im sure is very essential. What i did was i put all the dates i has travelled together and just wrote the country. Still couldn't fit some in so i shortened the countries like instead of Canada i used CA Netherlands i used ND Etc

My friennd used fixed deposit and got her visa

She must have submitted a regular bank statement too. I did that and they stated the fixed deposit as investment for me. They tell you not to use fixed deposit account. You would be refused.

Hey guys i just wanted to clarify somn. so basically the part of the vaf 9 personal details form that asks you if you have travelled in the last 10yrs, what if you were given a 2yr visa and have travelled for holz in between, do you put the date( you were given the visa) and then 2yrs in the duration section or do you put the individual dates of all the times you travlled in btw plus their duration. eg say you travel in december for 3weeks and for summer (2months) do you make mention of these in the travel history. Btw does it make a diff if you make your visa app in abuja vs lagos. Thanks

Yes you make mention of all of it. Make mention of all the times your visa was stamped let me put it like that regardless of it you were using the same visa or not! Because of the rush hour it is faster to make your application in Abuja for quicker result. If you have the opportunity make it in Abuja. If not do ikeja in Lagos. Lekki applications are sent to sheffield which takes longer time. But Abuja is your best bet!

Around 12pm i checked it. It was still saying it was forwarded to BHC. Around 3 i checked it, it said "Your processed passport is in transit to your visa application centre" or something close. I just checked again and it says "your application is ready for collection: please visit the UK visa application centre where you submitted your visa application to collect the same". Sheffield replied my mail to say my visa was issued on friday tho. Thank God.

Yes 22 working days. exactly one month 16/08 to 16/09. Thank God!

I finally got through to them today (though after spending transport to Abuja). They said they called me to schedule an interview which would have held today in Lagos. they said i should expect another call this week against next week Monday's interview. My school has extended my resumption date till 4th Oct.

please what are the possible questions? are they gonna be same as I was asked at the vfs?

just be brief with your answers speak loudly and not too fast too

I submitted on the 15th though.Got a text on the 19th working day.Be patient,you would soon hear from them.During my waiting period,I mailed them on the 16th day and their response was my application ws being transferred to sheffield and document still undergoing verification.I should be patient.

apparently that's a generic mail that the VFS sends. I emailed sheffield on my 14th day and they replied on the 16th day that they were considering my visa that day. Haven't heard since then. Hopefully I get a text tomorrow In Shaa Allah though. Thank you very much

The priority service you are talking about is not normally applicable to tier 4 visa applications.

some countries have priority service for tier 4. lucky them.

LOL I have been to the uk before too, i doubt it has anything to do with it. They changed their rule earlier this year so that all tier 4 applicants would be interviewed.

No, you're ok they probably just need to clarify something, For them to have called you, low chance of rejection if you answer well. If they wanted to reject they wouldn't even bother to call.
