Well I think I have to drop this here cos it will be ungrateful of me if I didn't. I have done the last test after 6 months 10 days. And I am HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, H pylori, VDRL free. I really appreciate you all. I did the test On the above on the 30th of January and everything came back negative. May God heal those that have been affected. Stay safe and healthy

The red spots on your tongue might be Circumvallate taste buds papillae, it's v-shaped.

I was scared the moment I saw those taste bond after my exposure, I had to browse about the parts of the tongue. That was how I realized that it's taste bond.

Kindly check if yours is in v-shape. It's located at the back of the tongue.

The red spots are located at the tip of my tongue and formed a rare v shape to the inner part but not that v cos it spread at the tip of my tongue. Now another lady I slept with after the exposure before I came across HIV post here is feeling cold to now and catarrh plus headache that comes and go but I know her status before which is negative. That is leading me to another worry

I have no trace of injury or cut on my dick but I noticed I have a bump like stuff that looks like big pimples very close to my dick run (not on the dick itself but close to groin area) I have been having doubting mind if her vagina fluid gets in contact or not and with my symptoms, worries has taken over my life

8weeks is indeed not conclusive. Its usually 3months. But the chances of your result changing from negative to positive after having tested at week8 is quite slim.

The only criteria that could cause such change is if you are on a medication for some terminal illness like Cancer, Alzheimer disease, Parkinson disease and some very serious illness like that. If you're currently undergoing treatment for such illnesses and you go for an HIV test, your result will probably be altered due to the drugs and medications in your system. Hence you'll be advised to get tested 6months after you have completed the medications for any of those illness.

But if not, 8weeks is quite enough time to produce a quite correct HIV status.

I disagree slightly cos what i heard is once someone is infected the test will detect either on drug or not. Thanks for the insight tho. Much appreciation

the normal finger prick own will detect it if the virus is has multiplied enough in your blood before the antibodies can react with the antigen on the strip, but this method can detect it as early as 48 hours after exposure hence reducing the risk of having it for long before detecting.

If at week8 you still test negative, your result is likely not to change.

2months is enough time for the body to develop enough antibodies for the virus to be detected by any test.

If I were you, I'd stop worrying.

Sometimes I worried less bro. But considering my symptoms and the swollen node at my groin and red spots on my tongue gives me sleepless night I swear and people saying 8 weeks is not conclusive

you going down the lane i went through. antigen test checks for antigen and antibodies. with window period of 60days or so. I cant recall try looking it up online. its 8k when I did it back then.

Can you kindly explain it to me bro. I will really appreciate It. Which one is antigen. I did a test at week 3 to week 8. Did 3 tests that blood was drawn from my vein in week 3, 6 and 8.... Did finger prick one in week 4 alere finger prick, week 5 alere and week 7 unigold. I have a total of 8 test within 8 weeks of exposure.

Washing your your dick with your hand after sex will not give you HIV, except you have had unprotected sex or other exposure. Your symptoms could be due to mononucleosis called kissing disease. If it is mono it will go on it's own you just only need to take antibiotic for the sore throat. If you still have this symptoms I will advice you to go to a National hospital they will do HIV serology test for you its free. Waiting after 6month to do the test again when you have those symptoms is not a good idea. With my medical knowledge that why I handled mine with seriousness.

this is no risk. its no risk just move on with your life. you just worried over nothing. if this was your only exposure its no risk. I have had similar scare with worst symptipms than all you pointed out only to spend more than 50k on test. this was years ago.

Bro I have mad malaria and fever with damn sore throat. Treated the malaria for It to come back 3 weeks later with another strong one. With white tongue and red spots on tongue. I witness the nodes around my groin just one and It went away after a week

bro what you having is anxiety. if you really scared just wait 3months. don't start comparing when others tested positive so as to give yourself hope. some do at week 12. few at week24. even beyond at times. though rare. even if you test negative at month 4 you will still be scared. its a good thing you are healthy so save your money and wait till month 6.

Not anxiety I have had the symptoms even before I came across anything HIV

I have done the test at week 8 negative and this is week 9 past so I wanna retest. I hardly sleep since my exposure. Instead of washing my hand after removing CD I used It to rub my dick and wash with water

Which test did you run that detected the virus, is it blood drain from the vein, or normal pinching of the finger. I am not getting myself as I am typing you 5this
