The most futile exercise a govt can embark on is buying cars. In a few years, you won't see these cars again.
Whether under the guise of "empowerment" or any such political jargons, it is simply a means of awarding juicy procurement contracts to cronies.
If the govt is serious, it should focus attention to delivering intra-state fast light rail networks, link water ways, open up the hinterlands to spread development and aid decongestion of the city centre.
Sttategic planning not pedestrian politics of buying cars

Well said.

God bless you.

Just see them as a normal people raised in a family.

They go home.

Besides it's not everyone that have biological family that go back to complain about stuffs happening in their lives.

Those children are well loved, sometimes more than children who have biological family.

Try to reach out to any orphanage near you, they deserve the love.

In case, u will want to ask about the surname they answer..... It's always that of the owner of the orphanage or the name of the home.

Their is one run by a Catholic church that I know, the children bears missionary as their surname. Eg Paul missionary

Nice talk

I am trying according to. My capacity in reaching out to an orphanage home.

The rate at which blood money ritual is becoming prevalent in our society at large is worrisome and disturbing.

Our indigenous movie producers needs to stop portraying money rituals in their movies because this is adding to the notion that it is real.

Popular Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade, has replied to a Twitter user who advised her to collaborate with her female colleagues this year to boost her career, IGBERETV reports.

The Twitter user who gave this advice to the singer noted that the Nigerian music industry is male-dominated and barely gives room for female artistes to thrive.

He stated that the Johnny crooner should endeavor to collaborate with other female artistes, especially Tiwa Savage, in order to boost her career.

In his words;

On seeing the tweet, Yemi Alade quoted it and gave a sarcastic response.

Anything below 6 feet, avoid.. The shorter, the more demonic they are. Especially the short and plumpy ones who barely grow past 5.5 feet, those ones are direct cousins to the devil.

I don't know why people are bent on migrating to only US, UK and Canada. These countries are good and the chances of success are quite high, I agree to that. However, the visa to these countries are not placed on a bed of roses, matter of fact, if not students visas (which are very expensive) or legit business trip for high net worth individuals, other classes of visas to these countries are close to impossible (for Nigerians).

My advice to you all is to try countries in the Scandinavia– Sweden, Norway and Denmark
Or Germany. These countries don't even charge tuition i.e free education for even international students. Just your prove of fund and that's it.

You can easily transfer to the big 3 countries aforementioned after graduating. The visa for the big 3 is very easy after studying there.

You may end up getting old or having a family whilst trying to get a visa to the big 3 countries and trust me it's quite difficult when you have to bring your family along.
Think twice bro

Nice 1.

But i tried relocating to one of those Scandinavian country but their requirement then wasn't easy

Please can you throw more light on that?

Yup true, life here for a beginner is very tough especially for newbie with no one to rely on .You have to learn new ways ,new thinking ,new habits...come with a blank slate, endure,be open minded.I've met lots of new comer Africans who bring their old mindset, indisciplined and with lots of baggage from their home country which doesn't work here.

Come with a new hard drive, new memory chip and new software ,so to speak.Being timely like 3-5min early for appointments or work(Africans have a bad lateness habit),have integrity and work ethic, evolve and learn, reduce your accent for better communication,be cleaner coz Americans generally think Africans are lacking in this area, embrace a maintenance/organization culture and pay every bill on time.Have extra drive/motivation and leave our chaotic culture behind. And please don't litter here like we do in our cities you'll get heavy punishment.

These are some habits that make America work well, make it richer and always look nice and pristine in pictures or videos.

Your points are valid.

Wow!!! Truly epic.

Dear fellow patriotic Nigerians, I plead with you to vote Asiwaju Tinubu. Asiwaju Tinubu is extremely capable and competent to lead Nigeria to greater heights.

Full biography of Bola Ahmed Tinubu

FULL NAME: Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu

DATE OF BIRTH: 29 March 1952 (age 69)

OCCUPATION: Accountant, Politician

MARITAL STATUS: Married

INTRODUCTION
Bola Ahmed Tinubu was elected Senator for the Lagos West constituency in Lagos State, Nigeria in 1993, he also was elected governor of Lagos State (1999 – 2007). He is said to be among Nigeria’s most successful politicians ever. He is currently the national leader of the ruling party in Nigeria, All Progressive Congress (APC).

EARLY LIFE AND BACKGROUND
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was born in Lagos, Nigeria to the illustrious Tinubu Family of Lagos State. He attended St. John's Primary School, Aroloya, Lagos and Children's Home School in Ibadan, South West of Nigeria. Tinubu then went to the United States in 1975. He attended Richard Daley College, Chicago Illinois, where he earned himself a place in the honors list of the College. He subsequently proceeded to the Chicago State University, Illinois where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Accounting and Management).

During his undergraduate years, he was honored with the Outstanding Student’s Award, The University Scholar’s Award and the Certificate of Merit in Accounting and Finance.

On his arrival in the U.S. in 1975 and with the support of an ever-adoring mother, this courageous youth, faced with an unflinching zeal to succeed, took on such menial jobs as dishwashing, night-guard and cab-driving to see himself through the initial difficulties of school at the Richard Daley College, Chicago, Illinois.

The brilliance of this young Nigerian showed in his ability to make the honours’ list of Richard Daley College. He subsequently transferred to the Chicago State University, Illinois, graduating with honours in 1979 and earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Accounting and Management). During his first year in Chicago State University, young Bola was given the rare privilege to partly teach other students of his Faculty remedial tutorial classes. Most of his colleagues and contemporaries at the university attributed their improved grades to his tutorial lectures.

Throughout his undergraduate years, young Bola was on the Dean’s List and was honoured with the Outstanding Student’s Award, the University Scholar’s Award and the Certificate of Merit in Accounting and Finance. He was also awarded the prestigious Sumna cum laude for scoring 3.54 out of possible 4.0 GP.

With his successful academic profile, young Bola contested and won his first political election as the President of the Accounting Society of the institution in his final year at the University.

Upon graduation with honours and several awards, Bola Tinubu cut his professional teeth at the American-based Arthur Anderson, Deloitte Haskins and Sells (now called Deloitte Haskins and Touche) and GTE Service Corporation – the largest Communication and Utility Company in the United States of America.

Meanwhile, at Deloitte Haskins and Sells, the young and professional Bola broadened his experience by participating in the auditing and management consultancy services of General Motors, First National Bank of Chicago, Procter and Gamble, International Harvester, GEC and other Fortune 500 firms.

After returning to Nigeria in 1983, Bola Tinubu joined Mobil Oil Nigeria, and later became an executive of the company.

Standard Chartered Plc is closing about half its Nigerian branches in a pivot to digital banking, according to people familiar with the matter, as...

https://dailytrust.com/standard-chartered-to-shut-half-of-nigerian-branches

Well this is no news to me because a bank that has a small customer base and majorly focus on corporate banking.

What actually made them to resort to this measures is that corporate banking is no more feasible and the nosediving economy is affecting their corporate banking so therefore they are now focusing on retail banking which all banks in Nigeria are fixating on.
Also they are trying to reduce operational cost that some of their branches are incurring and in return some of their branches are running at a loss so therefore it will make sense for them to shut some down and look for alternative ways which is using agency bank.
I would like to ask what is the network coverage of their agency banking because in yaba-Ebute-metta area they don't have a single agent banking.
I doubt if this new initiative would work well because this is a country that is not well technological driven.

Nah, that'd be Standard Chartered Bank. Sounds crazy, cos you'd be expecting one of those big names but they pay a little above 300k for starters, i.e, entry-level.

I remember some people arguing about it here last year when one guy posted their vacancy, cos they just couldn't believe him . I quietly applied with my friend.

She got the job, and I saw the employment letter with my eyes.

This is just a business idea, you don't actually run keke business.

All you put was the cost of buying one. Removed all the main expenses that can be eating into profits. & Then put how much could be made.

Very impractical. Plans or ideas on paper is not the same in real life.

Are you running a keke business? If yes, can you please outline your criticism in a constructive way?

lalasticlala or which ever mod pushed this to front page is not serious at all. Who told you there is poison in the tail of a snake ?

1. You are wrong. There is no poison in the tail of any snake. Snakes are not scorpions that have stingers on their tails. Though snakes can use their tails to sort of pinch anyone holding their head. This is only if you are holding the snake while alive and the pinching is from dried scales at the end of the tail not like it is venomous at the tail it is just like a rat using its claws to scratch you it has no venom.

2. You are right about the babies biting. Even new born vipers can deliver deadly bites.

3. You did not remove the skin of the snake. Which is disgusting.

4. Poisonous animals are animals with toxins in their body delivered from touching or eating them. Venomous animals are those that sting or bite. Snakes are venomous not poisonous

Good clarification

I thought snakes lay eggs
