Politics / Re: Igbos Ready To Dump PDP For APC —OKOROCHA by anyaoguluke: 1:23am On Jun 23, 2013
jusRadical:

My point is that governor Okorocha should know that Imo state in just managing him.

He should not mistake his ruling Imo state with acceptance as an accepted Igbo leader. Not every governor is accepted as a tribal leader.

Majority of Igbos still consider him as a 'con' or better still a fraudster.

He cannot win majority votes in Igboland for positions at the national level.

Many of his aides are already disechanted with him but are hanging on due to monetry benefits (though not much).

Now do you think that Rochas has a wide acceptance in Igboland (remember that Imo state is one out of 7 igbo speaking state, parts of Igbo speaking Delta and Rivers inclusive)?

What do you think is an average Igbo man's perception of Rochas?

Remember that APGA managed to win 2 states in Igboland. The party was powered by an Igbo hero, Ojukwu, who is no more. This has weakened apga. Igbos generally vote persons and not parties. Even if you say no that Igbos vote parties, then you must know that igboland is predominantly pdp. Remember the massive vote they gave to Jonathan. An average Igboman sees acn as a yoruba party and cpc as an hausa party which he cannot fly with. Now merging the 2 with Okorocha's faction of apga gives apc which Igbos generally hate.

Aboveall, you can have a glimpse of Okorocha's and apc's popularity/acceptance in Igboland from what some Igbos posted as replies to this topic.

Now, is it a bit clearer?
Brother, stop this lie.
Rochas is our man we accept him for what he has done, he is doing and he is going to do.
Nwa Okorocha gawa na ihu anyi so gi na azu.

Many Nigerians say what they don't actually know, because of Nigerian present circumstance. My knowledge of guidance and counseling made me to understand that no course is useless. As a professional my advise is that people should study what they have the passion for. Prof. Chinualomogu Achebe was a great man of international repute because he studied what he had the passion for. Had he studied law, medicine or any other high sounding course, he may not have excelled much. Nigerians should stop being shortsighted on issues like this. Nigerian situation may change tomorrow. Change is the only thing that is permanent.

Romance / Re: What Are The Reasons For High Level Of 30 Years+ Single Ladies In Nigeria? by anyaoguluke: 3:55pm On May 22, 2013
H.C.F:
@milychocs; quite touched by ur post....

However, once again the re-emergence of 'I cannot settle for less' grin.

@op, Going through the comments on the thread, one can easily conclude that there are a thousand and one factors responsible for the high number of single ladies at 30+.

However, there seems to be no silver bullet to deal with the problem. life itself is full of ironies:I know of a lady, whose early to mid and late twenties were full of fun, from one guy/man/ to the other, even to secure a job, she used what she had to get what she wanted,... now at 33, she remains single and desperately so.... LAW OF KARMA?
Another female friend, decent, amiiable, beautiful, so committed that she spent six years in courtship with an unemployed guy, only to be dumped immediately he secured a job,(after seven years of joblessness).REASON?, it was seen by a pastor that she was not the right person for him!!.....and today, at 35, she is single trying real hard to put the pieces of her life together again! LAW OF....WETIN?.LOL

One can go on and on, but one thing is clear, a wise man is not always successful, and a fool is not always unfortunate; a wayward lady could end up with a happy family early in life, while a decent one gets married late/never/or to the wrong person!!....thats the irony of life!!!

all i know is this,

if as a young lady, you are pious, and genuinely, seek piety as the main virtue in your man,
if you exhibit temperance, patience, perseverance and simplicity in your endeavours....
if you realize, as a young lady, that you are meant to be a reasonable companion of a man...and not only a slave of his passion...
if you undersatand, that your sole purpose is to assist him in the toils of life.....even if men are as scarce as hen's teeth grin, u'l always be the one to chose from a pool of worthy husband materials...and if despite all this, u remain single!...then you'l be singly happy. cheesy!!

TO those in their 30+.....never loose hope, dont give room for depression,be cheerful always, be realistic, lower your standards and pray,pray,pray.....

I love this your write up, you are very articulate.

Religion / Re: The Most Misunderstood Person On Earth by anyaoguluke: 11:27am On Mar 20, 2013
PastorAde: The Most Misunderstood Person on Earth

The most misunderstood Person on earth is the Lord Jesus Christ. He is misunderstood particularly by adherents of various religions of the world. For example, He is misunderstood by the Hindus because they think that He is just another one of their 6 million gods. He is misunderstood by the Buddhists because they think He is just a wise man. He is misunderstood by the Humanists who think He is just a highly developed human with a superior mental capacity. He is misunderstood by the Muslims because they think He is just another prophet who came in God’s plan and that’s why God has to send the final prophet to complete the job named Mohammed. He is misunderstood by the Atheists who think He is the creation of the imagination of 12 misguided men 2000 years ago. Most of all, He is misunderstood by Christians who think Jesus Christ is the founder of a religion called Christianity. All of these are misconceptions of Jesus Christ. Who, then, is Jesus Christ? First of all, Jesus Christ was never a religious man. He was never a Pharisee or Sadducee or Herodian. He never joined the Sanhedrin Council. He never submitted to Caiphas. He was never a member of the council of Jerusalem. He never joined the traditional system of religion in His day. He never started a religion. He never preached religion. We have reduced Him to a religious leader. We actually see Him as one of the founders of the four great religions of the world. He never claimed such a thing. As matter of fact, His greatest opposition was religious people who conspired to kill and indeed killed Him. Who is this man? What was His message? Jesus was born a King of the Jews! Consider this Scriptures – Now when Jesus was in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the King, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is He that is born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the east, and are come to worship Him (Matthew 2:2-3, emphasis added). Before His death on the cross of Calvary Pilate asked Him whether He was a King? To whom He replied: “You say that I am a King. To this end I was born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I may bear witness to the truth. Every one that is of the truth hears My voice (John 18:37, emphasis added). Jesus was not a prophet. A prophet speaks for God. But He was God in the flesh, named Emmanuel, meaning God with us. He only preached one message – The kingdom of heaven! His first public statement was: Repent (which means change your thinking), for the kingdom of heaven is near (Matthew 4:17). He didn’t bring a religion: He brought the government of heaven to earth. Isaiah 9: 6 confirms this – “The government shall be on His shoulder”. Why was the government on His shoulder? Because it was the kingdom or government of heaven Adam lost. Adam never lost a religion. Adam was a king made in God’s image and given dominion (rule or kingdom) over the earth. But satan came and stole that power because of Adam’s disobedience to God’s commandment. For this cause Jesus came, destroyed satan and collected the power and dominion from him and handed the kingdom back to man. If you know Jesus as King, you will know who you are. He will wash you in His blood and make you a king and a priest unto God (See Revelation 1:5-6). That’s why He is called the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Are you ready to become who God created you to be? Are you ready to receive the King? Pray this prayer aloud: Lord Jesus, come into my heart, wash away my sins. I confess You as my Lord, Savior and King in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

For prayers and counseling: visit, write, call or email: Prevailing Word & Prayer Ministries Inc. No 11, Ibrahim Tahir Lane, Utako. P.O. Box 11875, Garki, Abuja. Tel 08033155417. Email: josey500@yahoo.com
I agreed with you in all except in one aspect: christ did not destroy satan.

Attire has a lot to do with faith. Attire can lead feeble minded people to commit rape. Attire can arouse a man's interest to have sex with a woman likewise a woman. We are all human beings. Why all these obnoxious policies (age-limit) in this nigeria? people will spend extra years after school certificate before gaining admission due to discrimination (educationally advantaged/disadvantaged state). When you eventually gained admission strike versus strike. It takes an average student seven years to finish a five-year programme-course. After graduation you discriminate against the poor people who were not privileged to study overseas where four-year programmes are completed in four years. After all these huddles. policy makers will bring in age limit in service, age-limit in employment. Just to give their privileged family members upper hand over the commoners. No way, man must survive. If birds learn flying without patching, hunters must learn how to shoot without aiming.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: BREAKING: Nscdc’smysterious “oga At Thetop” Finally Revealed by anyaoguluke: 4:39pm On Mar 18, 2013
snadguy007: After days of speculation, the
mysterious “Oga At The Top” whom
Lagos State NSCDC Commandant,
Obafaiye Shem continually referred
to during his interview with
Channels TV, has finally been
revealed to the public. And the
identity of the Oga, has come as a
shock to Nigerians.
Sources close to the Commandant
tell us the Oga At the Top he kept
referring to, was in fact NOT the
NSCDC commandant general, Ade
Abolurin. Neither was it the
President of Nigeria, Goodluck
Jonathan. His “real Oga At The Top”,
and this may shock everyone, is
none other than HER EXCELLENCY,
DR. PATIENCE FAKA JONATHAN.
Our sources disclosed that only
Patience Jonathan knows the
website of the nscdc, and she had
previously warned all involved not
to add “dot com” without
permission. This is because the
website changes daily, (wahtever
comes to her head at any given
time IS the website for that time in
question, and it ranges from
nscdc.gov, nscdc.org. nscdc.co.uk,
nscdc.gej, nscdc.payshay.net)
making Web Developers to be on
the alert 24/7 for any changes.
This is why Mr. Obafaiye uttered
the now famous words “I dont
want to give you one now and MY
OGA AT THE TOP WILL SAY ITS
ANOTHER ONE”
In a statement released by the
Commandant General of the
NSCDC, Mr. Ade Abulorin
yesterday, he said “Yes, I am not
the Oga at the top, seeing as I do
not know the website. I am the oga
midway to the top. Clem was
right.”
That is all.

I plead for his pardon. The 'ogaism' disease he is suffering from is a Nigerian factor.

All efforts to contact the recruitment consultant since 11th March have yielded no positive result. I got an 'invalid response', when I try to send my ARN#LOCATION to their provided phone numbers. Am hoping if I got to Minna, there might be someone to complain to and probably effect it

Could any NLder tell me the exact time of the test in Minna? It will be too bad to embark on that journey from abuja only to find no candidate in Minna sad as they will be dealing with Smaller number of candidates now.

What is your take plz

chamber2: Both complement each other, so it is difficult to say which is better.Finance is an offshoot of the mainstream Economics.Studying Economics or Finance depends on one's interest and future goals. So, none can be said to be better. The only d/f b/w finance and economics is that the later is quite broader and therefore covers a lot more aspects of finance. An econs grad with little more effort can conveniently do what a finance grad can do or even more.

During my undergraduate studies we actually did almost all courses offered by the finance students, likewise they, except some advanced maths, micro-macro and econometrics courses which were taken by econs majors only.

In summary, i can say both are good and offer better career opportunities.Finance is basically applied Economics.
Let us call a spade a spade and not shovel by my own rating economics is the core of business. it is the father no mather how you view it.
