For stanbic mmf, is there any app to monitor my investment and if there is any how do I check my investment in it.

The same bank app has a tab for the mutual funds

This is 'what we do' and not an online access. I know what they do. That link will not give me access to monitor my VGIF. Gone are the days of customers calling. Pass this message to them if you have access to them.

Haa. I almost filled that form, hoping I could access my account online since I would be opening the account online. O ti lo

Do they now have an online presence?. There was no mail to that. Iam already planning on moving my investment from there. They took a good process over from Investment One and became incompetent with it. A whole outfit owned by GTB does not have an online presence nor a Mobile App.

Yea I received a mail from them with the link below

From a colleague "..after 2yrs of purchase, one will be getting part-principal repayment on the bond. Hence the value of the coupon reduces over time "

Moratorium simply means a period of grace before payment(interest or repayment) begins.
in this case, if I'm not getting it wrong, you would not receive any payment after 2 years of investment before the interest starts coming in and then the bulk capital(principal) at the end of the tenure(10yrs)

Hello guys, I got this ad from my stockbroker about the Lagos State Gov Bond. What do you think about it. Is this LASG bond credible like the FGN bond

Stanbic IBTC Capital Limited is pleased to inform you of that the Lagos State Government’s (“Lagos State’s”, ‘’LASG’s’’ or “the State’s”) Series I up to ₦100 Billion Bond Issuance (‘Series I Issuance” or “Series I Bond”), under LASG’s ₦1 Trillion Debt and Hybrid Instruments Issuance Programme (“DAHI Programme”) is NOW OPEN. The Offer is scheduled to close on Friday, May 12, 2023.

Is my eyes paining me or am I seeing a 24-months moratorium?

Whats the advantage of splitting MMFs?
for me, Sticking headlong to only Stanbic more than 5years strong.

Diversification and flexibility.
Moreover I've also been with Stanbic for over 5years too and I don't have any problems with them but Hey! Why stick with one when you can enjoy a party or more?
Investment / Re: Mutual Funds by Apitch(m): 8:23pm On May 04, 2023
Stanbic starting to comeback at 10.51% after I parted some funds to united Capital.
Though it's a good thing as Pa Emma advised never to deal with only 1 investment firm

They build on my land at their own cost and, live in it for one year before they begin paying me 3k every month. A fair bargain if you compare to op's coconut farm which will take a minimum of 7-9 years beforing maturing for harvest and market purpose( don't mind the fat lie that coconuts mature within five years)

And don't belief the ops claim that 20 coconut stands gets you millions. It don't, it won't. It cant. Hell, 20 stand even if all coconut trees yields 200 coconut fruit it wont get you millions!

My Interest for March is same with that of February irrespective of the fact that I topped up a bit, I don't take my interest and Feb is 3 fully days short of March. Haba na!!!

The TB's leap to 14% was just at the last auction; before then it had hovered 8-9% for the past weeks.

So if it is maintained or increased (I hope!) then we should expect better yields in months to come.

9-10% not 8-9% please

My annoyance is that MPR is 18% NTB is 14.% and Stanbic is still on 8.%

What I have learnt is to be careful of platforms that promise a certain rate of return .
There is no government bond that currently yields 15% in foreign currency so I'll be careful. Risevest also invests and manages stocks on behalf of their customers. No investor in US stocks had a good 2022, even worse for those who invest in Crypto and tech stocks. Yet, Risevst posted positive returns to customers.

I started using Risevest some years ago when the returns were around 8%. Now that I see 15%, I am suspicious and just pulled out. I have been taught to dislike free lunch.

The return of money trumps the return on money.

For information purposes please, Risevest did not post a positive return for stocks but a 22% loss. Thanks

I went to their office at Asaba, I was over convinced to invest more than I planned to risk and come 24th of August, I'm so emptying my mutual funds account to MBA. If I perish I perish.
