Guys, I am trying to enter the Stock Market. I am a passive investor. Afrinvest is looking dodgy, any recommendations? |

Please Nigerians, when j'ing Do so with sense and utmost wisdom, this is not to discourage any body's dream. I am only inclined to write this due to the alarming rate of sudden deaths experienced by Japa people. Only last week a young chap suffered cardiac arrest, just today someone else had a sudden death. 1. When you want to j, if you are married with children, leave children first, go with your wife. 2. Ensure you have accommodation settled for the next 2 months. A friend was thinking he would rough sleep, cold nearly kill am. 3. Have plenty money, borrow all you can. You will likely not get a job for at least 1 month.

kettykin: Brother, Allow me educate you. The value of a currency is determined by how useful that currency is. For example, if people, outside the country, need that currency, its value increases. If they don’t, its value decreases. So, say someone wants to buy something from Nigeria, he technically has to have naira, so he will bring say dollars. Therefore, he will need naira and the value of naira will increase. However, in the reverse, I want to buy something from outside, I will use my naira, change it dollar to buy the something. And in economics, when there is scarcity, the price/value increases. To avoid the value increasing, dem Jonathan and Buhari were borrowing $$ to provide $$ to people that want to buy. Thus, we had what was called artificial value. Nigeria was borrowing to do big boy, while running into heavy debt. Now, there is no more borrowing, we have a value that is determined by market forces. 1 Like |

No problem with building drainages. The problem is people dumping things into them. |

I always say, the rubbish behaviour of the Military/Police is a direct reflection of the people themselves. Give a Nigerian power/uniform/money, watch him oppress his fellow. 2 Likes 1 Share |

On twitter someone said Edo no dey carry last, if everyone behaved like Benin people, Nigeria would have improved. looking at the state that looks like an outdoor shrine, looking at the fact that an Igbenedion is contesting, I dare say, Edo naa last. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Every Igbo person should be insulted by GRV the two faced opportunist. How can you name both Ojukuwu and Hundeyin in the same letter. Even though Ojukuwu led his people to war and abandoned them (I am not calling him a coward) David the lieing, libelous son-of-a-gun is no match for your rolls Royce riding, war mongering man. |

hobat4cash: Dumbo, are you telling me if you get a orignal certificate and your school denies your studentship, the certificate is still original? |
![]() |
Ofunaofu: The truth of the matter is ignorance. You don’t read, just jump into conclusion. The school categorically stated they don’t keep diplomas. Infact they only reproduce copies. Why do you think institutions ask for transcript? Is the certificate not enough? See, your argument is invalid, because The certificate presented by Tinubu is not worth the paper its printed on, if CSU denies Tinubu was its students. The school has confirmed under oath that he is their student, and even released his transcripts… What else do you need to believe? See all this certificate saga is a good distraction from the main issues the country needs to face… enjoy it while it lasts 1 Like 1 Share |

This thing naa two way thing, Nigerians failed Nigeria. |
![]() |
This is why education is very important. It was clear Nigeria was borrowing to pay subsidy. Nigeria borrowed within and without.. Nigeria was borrowing from CBN. The Twin duo, Buhari and Emefiele were terrible things that happened to Nigeria. TUC were asking for the Billions saved on subsidy, friends, Nigeria was borrowing to pay subsidy. Nigeria borrowed such that, it had to borrow to pay its debtors. Its not sustainable, and removing susbsidy didn’t free up more money, it only made sure we were able to pay debts without borrowing. If you ask me, thats a good step. The next step is reduce the cost of governance, impose heavy duty on imports and send corrupt people to the gallows. 45 Likes 7 Shares |

Xbobtage: Your piece is well written, and I take it, you are a sensible person. It is true the economy is import based, however the economy is already dollarised. Even your market women know when dollar rise. 2. The issue of Nigeria is a very complicated one, you have multiple resource rich conflicting interests, all of whom are very selfish. The typical business minded Igbo man, never wants a Biafra, but you see the selfish politicians who want power by all means, will gladly claim igbo marginalization. Same applies, country wide. One tribe will always claim marginalization. If you look deep enough, it's not marginalization. It's some political heavy-weight that didn't get what he or she wanted. As for the economical issue, Tinubu was never the right choice, Neither was Obi nor Atiku. These people have connections to elites they would want to settle... An example is Tinubu, making Wike FCT chairman. If we really want change in Nigeria, first, the law must work independently and punish any erring person. Second, any one who has ever been part of the political elites should be removed from office... Third, there must be a bottom-up leadership change. I.e from councillor to President must be fresh. Fourth... Corruption should be punished with death and all properties confiscated to a sovereign account. Else, we are just rigmarolling. |
