Romance / Re: Reasons Why “japa To Secure The Kids Future” Is Senseless. by Aremu01(m): 11:35am On Jun 28
Everyone should just do whatever pays them.
I feel like countering your points one by one but it doesn't matter.
But I will give you one.
I finished school in 2014. I never got a job till I left that country in 2021.. that's 7 years.
I haven't completed my education here and already had a job waiting for me...same for me and many other Nigerians here.
You think this is gonna get better when our kids grow up....?
It's your family it's your decision what you want to do with them.
Mind you I can counter each of your points but I don't see the need. Do whatever works for you.

Travel / Re: Why Traveling To Vietnam Might Be Better Than UK Or Canada by Aremu01(m): 12:52pm On Jun 23
Op
Good job I stumbled on your thread yesterday and was impressed. I remember I wanted to consider Vietnam soke years ago but got discouraged due to some things.

I will advise you to ignore everyone calling you a scam. It's normal to have babies and immature one roaming around nairaland looking to make trouble. It could be very irritating and trying to reply every of them is a waste of energy. The energy they give is enough to discourage one. The wise ones will key into it and make something meaningful of their life.

Everything you said about Vietnam is true. I remember the thread of whyna in those days. I am not sure if she's still in Vietnam though. Any old nairalander frequent on the travel section will remember whyna. She helped many people to Vietnam too and we even made contact with her. All these troublemakers will not know hee
Anyway make your money man
Represent our country well and...
Think if a better country to go after you have made enough money over there.
God's speed brother.

IAmHim1:
You're wasting your precious time in church

You don't worship THE Mightiest Spiritual Being ever in a physical building

The moment you start to understand this, your life becomes better spiritually

Help the people around you, think good thoughts and treat people the same way you would love to be treated. Understand that if karma exist, then reincarnation MUST ALSO EXIST

That's all

Thanks for your info
But I am not wasting my time in church.
Peace

It's hard, really hard to keep up being religious when you cross the border indeed.
The church here self isn't so helping. This is my second year and I am still not used to there church system here.
Talk of dancing and singing and praying..for where...and without that church community it could be hard for many to keep up the spirituality.
They sung and pray don't get me wrong o. But na worship alone and prayer that pastor will just pray and everyone say amen. That's all.
I have to talk to myself to start joining Nigeria services online. Lol... I know the kind of background I came from
.
.
Imagine going to a church and getting served doughnut and coffee even before service starts. Someone will now be sleeping in service chai..oyinbo...

Health / Re: 5 Common Reasons People Die In Their Sleep by Aremu01(m): 2:58pm On Feb 16
Chinaka200:
Introduction:

Have you ever wondered what causes individuals to pass away peacefully during their sleep? It is a phenomenon that has intrigued scientists, doctors, and the general public alike. In this blog post, we delve into the five most common reasons why people may unfortunately die in their sleep. While this topic may seem morbid, understanding these causes can help shed light on certain health risks, encourage awareness, and encourage proactive measures to prevent such circumstances. So, let's explore the various factors that can lead to these unexpected occurrences.

5 Reasons Why People Die in Their Sleep

1. Cardiac Arrest: A Silent Culprit

Cardiac arrest is one of the most prevalent causes of sudden death during sleep. It occurs when the heart's electrical system malfunctions, resulting in a sudden loss of blood flow to the brain and other vital organs. Factors like age, family history, lifestyle choices, such as smoking and unhealthy diets, and underlying medical conditions can all contribute to an increased risk of cardiac arrest during sleep.
Factors Leading to Cardiac Arrest

a. Age and Genetics: The Silent Influencers

As individuals age, the risk of cardiac arrest, especially during sleep, increases. Family history also plays a role, as genetic predispositions can make some individuals more susceptible to experiencing cardiac issues. It is crucial to be aware of these factors, as prevention and early detection can significantly reduce the risk.

b. Lifestyle Choices: Pushing the Boundaries

Poor lifestyle choices, such as smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, lack of physical activity, and an unhealthy diet, can heighten the risk of cardiac arrest during sleep. Adopting a heart-healthy lifestyle can significantly minimize the occurrence of such incidents.

2. Obstructive Sleep Apnea: Breathing Troubles

Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) is a common sleep disorder characterized by breathing difficulty during sleep. People with OSA experience temporary blockages in their airways, leading to frequent interruptions in their breathing patterns. Severe cases of OSA can result in a decrease in oxygen levels, causing stress on the heart and an increased likelihood of heart-related health issues.
Contributing Factors to Obstructive Sleep Apnea

a. Obesity: A Weighty Matter

Obesity is a major contributing factor to OSA. Excess weight, particularly around the neck and throat area, narrows the airways and can lead to frequent breathing disruptions during sleep. Maintaining a healthy weight through proper diet and exercise is essential in reducing the risk of OSA-related fatalities during sleep.

b. Untreated Snoring: A Warning Sign

Persistent snoring can be an indicator of an underlying health issue, including OSA. Failing to address chronic snoring can lead to severe complications and fatal outcomes during sleep. Seeking medical advice and undergoing necessary diagnostic tests can facilitate early detection and appropriate treatment.

Conclusion

While passing away peacefully during sleep is relatively rare, understanding the potential causes can help safeguard against potential health risks. By acknowledging the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle, being aware of our family history, and heeding warning signs like chronic snoring, we can take proactive measures to minimize the possibility of experiencing these unfortunate circumstances. Remember, prevention and early detection are key in maintaining overall well-being and longevity. Stay informed, take care of your health, and give yourself the best chance of a restful night's sleep!
