AdenijiPupa: I havent,

I guess you must have gotten your visa...pls how long did you take to get your visa, i was told to call for my visa collection today, i have called their number is not connecting(DHL helpline: 094601748) Is there any other number to reach them, i can't confirm yet because there number won't connect. Your response will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Visa collection is usually 7 days after your interview. U needn't call them. Go to their office. I don't remember the address, but it's off Ajose Adeogun. If u went to Q-Life, instead after Access Bank, look out for Stanbic Bank on same side of s road. Enter d road beside Stanbic n follow it to d the t-junction n turn in left. It's about 3-5poles from there. It's not far from Stanbic, like 3mins work. Their office is upstairs n they open from 8am.

Hope this helps. Sorry l don't stay in Lagos n just went there that one time, but if u follow my description, u shouldn't miss it. Cheers

olusean: Pls were can I do my medical test

U can go to Q-Life Family Clinic, Plot 155A Prince Ade Odedina Street, off Ajose Adeogun, Victoria Island Annexe, Lagos. To locate it on Ajose Adeogun, look 4 Access Bank. U enter d street opp Access Bank n beside Halliburton, enter d 2nd street by d right n then enter d next left turn. That's d street. Just look for d hospital by your right. If u r single, budget to spend N21000, if u 've had chicken-pox and if u 've not, budget N31000. If u 've kids less than 5yrs, budget roughly N37000, if more than that age budget about N14000. That was d rate when l was there in April, but then oral polio wasn't part of d vaccines. If they 've added it, it may affect d cost a little more for d kids.

Cheers

phatdon4u: pls house! How important is the second vaccination? Any implication at the point of entry?

I don't think it's a problem at POE, rather as u go to register d child 4 school. I even think if ur medical isn't current at d time, u may still need 2 update it ie if more than 6months old

Cynthia4real: Guddy house,hw is ur wekend going?pls i wnt to knw if we ar to pay another money at Q life for the second vaccines, pls those dat hv had their second vaccine shuld gv me information, tnx for ur response.

Hi, Cynthia, congratulations! Well, l m sure Q-life 'll charge u more money if u go there. I took my kids to a hospital in d East where they were charged N500 for MMR. I 1st went to d health section of d local govt, but they said they only administer it on Tuesday n charge N1000 per child n they referred me to St Anthony's Hospital that they gave d vaccine that day to administer. So l m sure u can get other hospitals to administer it 4 less like a Teaching hospital or General hospital. It's not mandatory u go back to Q-Life anyway

Cheers

Safe Flight to Jajinobaresi & Michael as u Join us in the US

Able captain, it's really an honor to 've u back! We 've been here more or less!

Had an experience last Friday! Last week was generally choked up! Left my base on Monday to go to d east, drop off some stuff 4 my folks, pick my kids, do a few errands, including taking my kids 4 their supplementary vaccination, n leave 4 Lagos on Thursday so we could board our flight to Houston on Friday! First we only made it to d east Tuesday night cos d luxury bus, which alone could carry all d load, got spoilt! So Wednesday was equally choked up, but d kids had their vaccination including me n wifey! D delay was cos we misplaced our cards til a few days earlier! N on Thursday we set off by road once more to Lagos! At some point, d bus started crawling, so that it took d driver 5hrs from Ore to Ojota, and there d guy said he won't go to mazamaza cos it was almost 8.30pm, leaving me to find a cab d rest of d way! With all d traffic there we got to my friend's place quite late n left us still tired d next morning! By d time we got 2 d airport for our 2.10pm flight, it was almost 12pm, which would 've been ok except that our luggage had not been weighed. By d time it got 2 our turn n we started weighing n aligning our luggage, it was almost 1pm. The airline staff had checked 5 out of 8 of our luggage, when their manager came out n decided it was too late, recalled his staff n no amount of plea could do any magic til d flight departed MMA. At one point a lady asked if we checked in online n l said "no".

Well, some said this was sent from d village, among other similar theories! Lol! Whatever that means! I think so God wanted it, n also one needs 2 take responsibility for ones shortcomings, much as it wasn't had 4 me to grasp that d flight wasn't mend 2 b that day! I narrate this cos l believe we could learn a few things from this. I believe one should not leave too many things pending! For anyone traveling alone or with family, d subsequent immunizations need 2 b done on timeme! If with family, esp and coming from outside Lagos, it's best to come two days b4 and relax so u can start preparation for departure on time that day nto 3hours bdeparture time! Also if u can, endeavour to check-in online, not later than 36hours b4 departure time (this skipped my mind n l remembered it about 20hours to d time which was too late. So my only option was normal check-in at the airport). Also if u can, buy scale n weigh your bags, esp for family. It can save u valuable time n unnecessary stress.

Let me just mention lastly d cost implication of missing a flight. Firstly, there's d "no show" cost of $150 per person n a rescheduling cost of $50 per person as well. Aside these comes d differential flight cost. For example, say we bought our tickets for all 4 of us 4wks earlier for $4000 n as at today d ticket costs $6200, it means if u want to travel today having missed ur flight, apart from d 1st two totaling $800, u 'll b expected to pay additional $2200 ie total of $3000! Except u choose to travel much later n they could help u find a date in future that d flight cost is closest to d one u 've, but it cannot b below it rather same or a little above, that is cost cannot b below $4000. D rates during summer is usually high, so beware.

Anyway, l requested to find a date myself that best suits me so l can go tidy up a few things n l kneel down n say "thank u, Lord, for everything". Yet l think we can still learn one or two things from d experience!

Cheers, folks n God's blessings!

Adeboy007: Dearest VO, what can I say...?
I am deeply sorry for use of that word!!! My intention was NOT to slight your person BUT to convey to my fellow Nairalanders the aura of a motherly intervention that gave me one of the greatest joys and fulfilment!
The 'old' meant in my statement was supposed be an `elderly` as a sign of respect according to our culture of respect.
I DO SINCERELY APOLOGIZE MADAM PLEASE. God bless you.

007, how many times 'll u apologise on this thread! Anyway one thing that's had to check with u is that ur mouth. On the one hand, l want to say a big congratulations to u 4 scaling ur interview! On d other hand, l say, l told u what happened that day was going to happen, so l admonished u 2 talk less least u b short of words that day! I m sure u were really gasping! grin grin grin

Anyway, moving on, u 've done well! Just try n spare us antics that lead u or this house 2 apologise to either d ladies/women or even a VO! Remember u never collect ur visa o! grin grin grin

I wish everyone else that has had successful interview this month! N best wishes, God's special blessing of success 4 those still going for interview this month of visa embezzlement! Ityroyal, special congratulations on ur day!

Sorry people, but it always seems our interview experience whether asked many questions or not, just leaves us gasping, though preparation 4 departure also has a role to play! D good side is it always others, who seek to fill d gaps, grow n mature n ultimately help them on their interview day!

I wish all of us yet to attend interview this year, success by God's grace! Just b of good cheer n trust in God!
