I received an alert into my bank account on 7th July, 2022 without transaction description/name and the transaction was made through POS. I called my friends, family members and associates with anxiety to know who sent the money but they were not. I therefore contacted my bank through email on 9th July, 2022 which I briefed them on the miracle alert and asked them to help trace the transaction with view of finding out if it was transferred into my account by error or intentionally deposited by an anonymous. They responded and promised to give me feedback after investigating the transaction as I requested, but till today which is 2weeks, no feedback yet. They have freezed the money and have deducted a stamp duty charge, as I'm still waiting for their feedback.

There is this popular saying which states and I quote, "Show me your friend, and I would tell you who you are". There is no doubt based on this context that friends are very influential in their peer groups. I have discovered based on a very critical observation and analysis that nobody was born a bad man or woman. A child at birth is like a brand new computer hardware that is yet to be programmed. And the beauty of a computer based on my perspective depends on its content, especially the software.

However, when a child is growing up, based on my personal study and analysis, he passes through three basic stages of programming, which include:

a. Parental Programming: This has to do with the parental training and upbringing. The foundation parents lay for their kids matters so much in the life of such kids. For instance, what do you expect of children who were brought up in an environment where the Papa and Mama relate like Cat and Rat thereby staging a fight every now and then in the presence of their kids. And compare it to those kids who were brought up in an environment where their Daddy and Mummy relate like Romeo and Juliet. Though, this is not my area of concentration in this study now.

b. Teachers Programming: This is the second most important stage in a child's upbringing. This is the stage when the child's Intelligence Quotient (IQ) is formally developed. The teachers play vital role in every child's upbringing and programming and need to partner well with the parents in achieving a good standard for every child.

c. Friends Programming: This is the most critical and tempting stage for every kid. This is the stage I regard as the final bus-stop of the programming process and the last determinant of who a person is.

Moreover, based on my research, I came to understand that many people who are into different crime activities where influenced by their friends. And this is why I termed it the tempting stage. This is the stage when individual's principles and polices are tested. This is the trial moment for everyone to prove his/her ability to withstand every storm that may try to take you out of your moral principles and policies. What do you think about that innocent guy from a well disciplined family background and the only son of the house who went into the higher institution and joined one of the brotherhoods and was later killed in one of their rival encounters, courtesy of the influential power of friends? What do you have to say about that innocent guy who became mad because he tasted Indian hemp which he never did before, courtesy of the influential power of friends? How do you feel about that innocent guy who joined an armed robbery gang and was shot dead in one of their operations, courtesy of the influential power of friends? And what do you expect of that innocent sweet looking Angel, the Daddy's pet and hope, who went into the secondary school and joined unpleasant clique of girls who were into series of immoral activities; got pregnant and later lost her life in the process of abortion, courtesy of influential power of friends.

Finally, who is that person you call your friend? Have you ever for once in a while asked yourself some reasonable questions about that friendship with such a person? What has been your personal assessment of the things you have learnt from such a person you called your friend? Basically, two things are involved, it is either you are being programmed positively or negatively as long as your friendship with people is concerned. I am someone who strongly believes that a very principled person cannot easily be influenced no matter the level of strategy used. But that person who dances to the tune of every beat is indeed a prey to the negative influential power of friends. I discovered that some people do what they do, not because they have a relevant reason for doing it but just because their friends are doing it and thereby deciding not to be the odd one out. Show me a man/woman who is easily influenced by friends and I would show you that one and only man/woman standing who has a single power of positive influence over his/her friends. Remember, friends can make you and friends can as well destroy you. Think about it, Good luck !

When the Ark of God was in Philistine the Philistines were tormented seriously (1 Samuel 5:6-7).

The Ark of God was taken to the house of a man called Abinadab where it spent 20 years without any recorded substantial blessings of God upon Abinadab and his households (1 Samuel 7:1-2).

Uzzah, son of Abinadab was struck and he died when he touched the Ark of God (2 Samuel 6:6-7).

However, that same Ark of God that tormented the Philistines, that same Ark of God that spent 20 years at Abinadab's house without any recorded substantial blessings to the household, that same Ark of God that Uzzah touched that led to his death, the same Ark of God was taken to the house of a man called OBEDEDOM and God blessed him and his households substantially within 3 months (2 Samuel 6:11).

Do you know that your lifestyle matters so much to God who is the author and finisher of our faith. The Bible says that righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people (Prov 14:34).

What is that unrighteous act you indulge into secretly but openly you behave like a righteous person? The raw, undiluted truth is that whatever you do, mostly in secret, whether good or evil, thinking that nobody sees you, be rest assured that the Rewarder who rewards in the open sees you (Ecclesiastes 12:14).

My dear, I urge you to separate yourself from every unrighteousness and develop a personal relationship with God Almighty who blesses exceedingly. Obededom who was nobody automatically within 3 months became somebody.

Do you want God to raise you from grass to grace? FEAR HIM, because the FEAR OF GOD is the beginning of Wisdom. And don't forget that God Almighty gives the power to make wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18).

Valentine’s Day is perhaps the time of year when people most turn their thoughts to love. Stores fill with heart-shaped balloons, red roses, chocolate, and greeting cards expressing ideas of devotion and love. Husbands and wives, those engaged to be married, boyfriends and girlfriends take the time to show their feelings for each other in different ways.

But, yet, for all the love that seems to be in the air, many people find Valentine’s Day to be a day of sadness or regret. Many people are reminded of how their heart was broken by someone they thought really loved them. Others are reminded of broken relationships and broken marriages. February 14th is sometimes referred to as Singles Awareness Day (or S.A.D.) for all the people who wish and hope for love and romance but have not found it yet.

Despite the emphasis placed on love and relationships by entertainment and the media in our culture, the latter group of people whom I have just mentioned know that love is really like a rose — it is a beautiful flower that has dangerous thorns. C.S. Lewis said, “To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal.”

However, there is one demonstration of love that exceeds all others. The Bible tells us about this love when it says, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” It is a brave and selfless thing for someone to take a gunshot or a knife stroke meant for someone else. You might never imagine that someone would do such a thing for you. And, indeed, with the selfishness that is common in human nature, you would be hard pressed to find someone willing to do such a thing. But there is someone who has already done that for you.

His name is Jesus Christ. He is the Son of God who came to earth to take upon Himself the punishment we deserve for our sins. Romans 5:8 tells us that “God commendeth [or showed] his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

We all are sinners. The Bible tells us that “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Because of our sins, we are destined to experience the punishment of sin which is physical death and eternal separation from God in a place called Hell.

However, because of God’s love for us, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, who willingly laid down His life and took the punishment we deserve. Jesus Christ experienced physical death and separation from God so that we would not have to. Now, He invites everyone to take part in the salvation He provided for us. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Jesus Christ has opened the way of everlasting life for us because of His death on our behalf. He wants to begin a relationship with you. The decision you must make is whether or not you will accept the gift that He has given — as John 3:16 says, will you believe on Him in order to have everlasting life?

If you want to do that today, simply believe in Jesus Christ, that He died on the cross for your sins, that He was buried, and that He rose from the dead by the power of God. The only way we can be saved from our sins and receive the gift of eternal life is through this sacrifice of Jesus Christ. We must place our faith in Him and what He has done. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Romans 10:9 & 13 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved… For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Are you ready to call on Jesus Christ right now and let Him know that you believe in Him and that you want to begin a relationship with Him? Then please pray with me the following simple prayer.

Holy Father God, I realize that I am a sinner and that I have done some bad things in my life. For Jesus Christ sake, please forgive me of my sins. I believe with all of my heart that Jesus Christ died for me, was buried, and rose again. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and save my soul and change my life today and forever so that I can have your peace and assurance about my life today and my eternal future. Amen.

If you just trusted Jesus Christ as your Saviour, and you prayed that prayer and meant it from your heart, I declare to you that based upon the Word of God, you are now saved and you are on your way to Heaven. We all, long for peace. We want peace in our minds, in our hearts. We want peace in our family, in our relationships and we also want peace among nations.

THE WORLD IS A VERY STRESSFUL PLACE
Our fast paced competitive society and broken relationships keep us stressed out most of the time. Every day the media reminds us of war and political discord in our own country.

How can we keep our mind at peace without hiding our head? Magazines advertise products and activities to relieve our anxiety. Politicians advise diplomacy instead of war to make peace. Diplomacy works for awhile until another unmanageable, unforeseen crisis arises.

PEACE WITH GOD IS POSSIBLE
In His Word, the Bible, God says in Philippians 4:6-7: “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

HERE IS THE SECRET TO HAVING PEACE
Every time you feel stressed out, go to God and lay that thought that is stressing you out at His feet. You might have to do it again and again. It becomes easier as you practice this discipline. What you’re doing is letting go of control and giving God the right to be God in that situation. It’s only when we submit to God that He can give us peace.

If you have never placed your trust in Jesus Christ; you can trust and believe in Him today and receive His peace. The Bible says in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world,that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

You can tell Jesus Christ in a prayer like this: Jesus, I know I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died on the cross to pay the penalty for my sin and that You rose from the dead. I now trust in You as my Saviour. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

If you believed in your heart that Jesus Christ died on the cross, was buried, and rose again, allow me to say, congratulations on doing the most important thing in life and that is trusting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour!

There is something both the aged and the infant do not know anything about.

The church also has closed her eyes on this particular issue. Nobody wants to talk about it but it is very real.

In case you are not aware my brethren, I want to tell you that: SEXUAL IMMORALITY is the last bullet the kingdom of darkness has thrown against the church of God, and the church is wounded very sore that there seems to be no cure or remedy.

I want to make it so clear and not in jargons or vocabularies that, you cannot count the number of people who go to church and proclaim the name of God, that are still living in immorality. They may either be suffering from lust, masturbation, pornography, adultery, incest, homosexual, lesbianism, sodomy, bestiality and many more which time will fail me to mention.

Hardly will you come across a young lady who has not been misused by 'so called boyfriends'. And every guy is now dating because of sex.

God is watching all those that are having sex with people they haven't married.

It's a headache for God seeing his own created people perishing in a sin called sexual immorality. How many young men today in the church can you count and point fingers at that fornication has not pulled down?

A pastor slept with his junior pastor's wife, impregnated her, and used the name of God to defend himself that it was God who instructed him to do so.

Sex that is supposed to be between husband and wife only, is now between father and daughter in the church, do I need to tell you there is fire on the mountain?

If sex that is only legalized between a man and his wife, is now between a guy and his girlfriend or between a man and his fiancee, do you need angels to come and sound the warning against sexual immorality?

If sex that is a sacred thing in marriage has become a desecrated thing in dating, what else do you want before you prepare the way of the Lord?

PASTOR, WHY ARE YOU QUIET?

Cry aloud, spare not. And tell the house of Jacob their sins, and Israel their transgressions. Pastor why are you not crying aloud? Why are you so mute like ELI? Heaven is shedding tears over the perishing souls every day and you are there raising funds every Sunday to build bigger Auditorium.

You call your members for anointing services and prayer meetings without urging sin out of them.

Some are living together with men that did not pay any dowry on them.

Some commit abortion and cover it up. Some are lesbians and homosexuals. What are you doing about that?

Where has the word of God that says "flee fornication" gone to in your Bible? From henceforth, if you don't take this warning and start declaring war against this strange spirit that has taken over the church, you'll have questions to answer.

And those who claim they love holiness messages with negligence to this particular truth about sex have actually missed the mark.

AND YOU CHURCH MEMBERS!

To be active in church and still be committing immorality, God is watching you.

To be a child of God and still having a boyfriend or girlfriend, God is watching you.

To be a choir member or youth leader and still be doing what the married are doing, if you like continue.

All you need is genuine repentance.

Did you know that God has issued a recall for every person in the world?

You see, when God created the world, He made humans perfect. However, when Adam and Eve disobeyed a simple command from God, they introduced a defect into the human race — the defect of sin. Since that time, every human has disobeyed God’s laws, and now is defective. The Bible says, “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” We are like damaged goods. Sin and the consequences of sin have messed up our lives. We are no longer perfect.

God decided to do something about our lack of perfection. He decided to issue a recall so He could fix us if we want to be fixed. He says to us today, “Return unto me, and I will return unto you…” He says in Isaiah 1:18: “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”

That is why God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, into the world. He is the only one who can fix us. He is the only one who can solve our sin problem.

Jesus Christ sacrificed himself in our place — for our sins — and took God’s punishment which we deserved. 1Thessalonians 1:10 tells us that, “Jesus delivered us from the wrath to come.” He paid for our sins with his own blood so that God could give His righteousness to those who believe in Him. Jesus Christ’s shed blood is what makes it possible for us to be cleansed of our sin and to be made new people in God.

Jesus Christ is calling you back to Him today. He says, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” There’s a beautiful verse in the last chapter of the Bible, Revelation 22:17, which goes like this: “And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.”

That is what God’s recall is all about. He is calling you to come back to Him so He can mend what is broken in your life. He wants to give you a new life in Jesus Christ.

I encourage you to receive Jesus Christ as your Savior today. Please take the following steps.

First, you must recognize that your sins have separated you from God. Even though Adam and Eve were the first to sin, we must each take responsibility for our own actions. In honest repentance agree with God about your sinfulness and admit your need for forgiveness. 1John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he [God] is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Second, you must realize that God loves you, and believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins—taking the punishment you deserve. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the only thing that makes it possible for God to forgive us of our sins and allow us to live in the coming Kingdom of Jesus Christ for eternity.

Third, you must accept Jesus Christ as your Savior from sin and sin’s consequences by believing that he died, was buried, and rose again, and receiving Him into your life by faith. Romans 10:9 & 13 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

If you accept Jesus Christ into your heart, you will begin a relationship with God that will last for eternity. You will become a child of God with a home in Heaven. If you want to begin this relationship right now, you can pray a short prayer to let God know that you have decided to trust Jesus Christ as your Saviour. Please repeat after me and mean it from your heart.
