CAR BATTERY IS DC: 12V OR 24V. IF YOU STORE POWER IN A BATTERY AND YOU WANT TO USE IT IN YOUR HOUSE TO POWER A TELEVISION OF 240VOLTS, YOU NEED AN INVERTER TO INVERT THE 12V DC TO 240V AC.
