....shebi I was saying it, they said I was talking too much...

...if we buy another rock solid DMF, it would not only leave us with options and added manpower, it'd also spur Busquet to up his game...when there's no competition, there's bound to be laxity...

...why else do you think he's always in his element when he plays for Spain?...it's because he knows if he fumbles he'd be playing second fiddle to Xabi Alonso or Mario Gomez...

I agree with you busi needs a competition. How did u see rakitic today? I think he tried and I don't really fault him for missing that one chance

...Busquet as usual was nowhere to be found; couldn't read the game accurately & was still seen holding on to the ball unnecessarily in our own half...

...we already had the game under lock & key at the blast of the whistle for halftime, then some ill-timed substitution by Enrique put mockers on that status...

...I've always bellowed that acquiring that lanky albino was a wastage of resources...I'm still yet to see why he was purchased for a whooping £29 million(him papa get shares for Barça?)...that money could have been used to buy Seun Sogbeso from Nassarawa united FC & we'd be seeing the results of our investments by now...

...can Enrique stop fielding Sergio Roberto as a RWB for crying out loud?...it cannot work for fück sake...that chap is a natural AMF & you're only hindering his progress by making him play a role he isn't fully comfortable in...

Dani Alves should stop doing drugs...it affects his brain when he plays...that's all I have to say about his performance today...

...Well, half bread they say is better than none...at least our unbeaten run still dey kanpe...

All attention shifted to El Clasico slated for next week Saturday.....

Haahahhahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!! Dude cool down oh I dey feel your anger here cheesy

I am surprised I have not seen darkenedrebel here to say "I TOLD YOU SO" cos honestly I don't know the kind of stunt busquet was trying to pull in front of the eighteen yard box when our defense was already shaky

This espanyol vs bilbao match really shows that fans can influence a teams fight back. Espanyol were a goal down in the first half now they are leading 2-1 in the second half. See as Bilbao defence dey shake.

How is wishfully hoping that Luis Enrique could talk some sense into Sergio a form of crucifixion? .....

Nay...not from day one, but from the start of this season....
I've also chastised Alves in the past - he must be a nairalander cos he took to my advise & has been playing sanely ever since grin

I don't talk negatively about him for the fun of it, I'm only terrified of what his redundancy might cost us in the future(especially UCL)..I've already mentally created 10,000 worst scenarios that could happen from a slip made by Busquet in front of our own goal...

We are playing Villarreal in a couple of hours, just keep your eyes transfixed on Busi throughout the game.....

First of all let Me clarify that I have nothing against busquet. However I kinda understand what darkened rebel is saying. Busi sometimes can be too nonchalant. For example there are times when the team play would be going smoothly and then the ball is passed to busi, sometimes he isn't aware that he is being marked while other time even while aware that there is someone on him he tries to linger on the ball to draw foul or dribble instead of playin it safe and passing the ball. And when the foul does come as long as it was not a hard tackle the referee most times ignore it cos he knows busi invited the foul.
Anyway like everyone on the team I think busi has an off day sometimes so let just be patient I'm sure lucho knows what he is doing.

Arsene Wenger: Barcelona are 'more beatable than ever' claims defiant Arsenal boss
Wenger laments 'regret'

Arsene Wenger at the Nou camp
Arsène Wenger, the Arsenal manager, has claimed that Barcelona were “more beatable than ever before” in a response to suggestions that Europe’s elite have left his side behind.

The north Londoners suffered a 5-1 aggregate loss to the Spanish side after a 3-1 second leg defeat in the Nou Camp on Wednesday. Yet Wenger, who saw his side knocked out of the FA Cup and Champions League in the space of four days this week, was full of frustration at how Arsenal did not progress in the latter competition despite being totally outplayed in both legs.

“The regret I have about the two games against Barcelona maybe they were more beatable than ever before,” he said when asked if Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are now uncatchable.

One thing about madrid I find interesting is that when people are hyping them to trash their opponent, that is when they falter e.g malaga draw(in the league), juve(last year), betis draw(in the league), and valencia draw.

Don't be surprised if they find it hard to defeat Wolfsburg. Who knows what might happen.

A lot has been said about how poorly Real Madrid conducted themselves in Gran Canaria in spite of their 1-2 win against Las Palmas. Zidane made his thoughts clear after the match: “Like this, we’re going nowhere; I’m bothered and worried”.

There’s one image of Sunday’s game that sums up why Zizou is so concerned. In the 39th minute of the first half Gareth Bale shocked his own dugout when he tuned out from the game and instead concentrated on fixing what looked to be a problem with the elastic band holding his well-groomed bun aloft his head.

The Welshman spent 25 seconds fixing his hair and ambling slowly down the pitch, jogging 60 metres as the rest of his team-mates were transitioning into defence. Las Palmas were on the attack but he was too busy with his flowing locks to care.

Hahahahhahahahahaha! grin

'ARSENAL SHOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN PENALTY AGAINST BARCELONA'
By Chris Davie

Former Premier League referee Howard Webb claims that the Gunners should have been given a spot kick for Javier Mascherano's trip on Alex Iwobi

Arsenal should have been awarded a penalty in their 3-1 defeat to Barcelona, according to former Premier League and World Cup referee Howard Webb.

The Gunners were trailing when Alex Iwobi was clipped by Javier Mascherano as he was running into Barcelona’s area, but Russian referee Sergei Karasev waved play on.

Mohamed Elneny had cancelled out Neymar’s opener before a stunning strike from Luis Suarez and a neat finish from close range from Lionel Messi wrapped up the victory for the Champions League holders.

“On first viewing, I thought Iwobi clipped his own heels, but when we look at it a bit closer, we see Mascherano actually makes contact with the left leg of Iwobi, which causes that leg to go onto his own heel,” Webb told BT Sport.

“Mascherano has a duty of care not to be careless, not to cause that contact, would Iwobi have gone down if Mascherano has not been there? No he wouldn’t. He would have stayed on his feet.

“For me, that’s a foul, doesn’t have to be intentional, just careless, it’s maybe just on the line so I think it’s a penalty.”
