both MIKEL and MESSI are good players that have won many trophies for their respective clubs, in my opinion LIONEL MESSI is better than MIKEL , MESSI has played a huge role in modern day football to all football lovers compared to MIKEL, if this post is posted on a world wide forum, messi will claim 99.9 percent of the votes if no sentiments is involved, MIKEL is also a good player but he is not in the class of messi for GOD's sake, you should be comparing messi with ronaldo, tevez, fabregas, drogba, iniesta of this world, even MIKEL knows that MESSI is better than himself{MIKEL} grin grin grin

if you read my previously posted comments you will see what i say about age cheat,as i was reading your comments ou made me remember that during ghana Nigeria 2000 Julius aghahowa was 19 while his wyf was 27 years , abeg help me to do your arithmeticcs now and calculate wat his age is now that he cannot play in any good league in the world now while the likes of Ryan gigs , Raul gonzalez, sebastian juan veron, javier zaneti, and old war horse like cauthemoc blanco of mexico is still playing good and sound football in their respective countries, I PITY THOSE AGE MURDERERS embarassed
that is why it is good for a country to have leaders that have  focus and plan for the future of his or her nation not the selfish ones that will take bribe and sell her citizen to the rest of the world, where are the boys that played in trinidad and tobago 2001,finland 2003,and korea 2007, u'll notice that most of the boys that was built by siasia are making decent living for themselves in europe as a pro soccer player and they are going to be the heart of the new super eagles team when the tired legs and obvious age murderers stay far away from the senior national team, nigeria will only move forward when credible leaders are put in office not the zoning or ethnic sentiments our daft leaders take as a prior for considering a leader.

Sagamite:

I believe maybe only 1 or 2 are U23, most are between 23 to 30 in age and 1 or 2 are 30 or over.

If you believe these mamas are mainly in their early 20s, so how old do you think the Ghanians are? . . . . . . .15?

Look, the Ghanians look very youthfully, but I will not be too surprised if half of them are slightly over the age limit i.e. 21, 22 or 23. The difference between them and us is that they demonstrate some snippet of shame, self respect and self worth. We are unbrindled. We beat our chest that no one can prove anything so we have no shame at the level we go to cheat. Our coach is a typical, unprincipled Naija pathetic soul. This is reflected at large in our society when you look at public office holders like Tafa Balogun, Alams, Ibori and co. They do it to excess without shame. Nigerians are shameless. It is an embedded national culture, hence you see a lot of NLers that KNOW the truth but still try and lie so as to have their "pride" (LWKMD) in peace and watch our "progress" (LWKMD). We are utterly shameless.

We have been cheating for a very long time (since the 80s). If we have no youth programme, then we should start building one. We have had enough time to do it, but as long as we are "achieving" (LWKMD) through fraud, we will continue ignoring doing such. The masses with pathetic mentality are satisfied with the cheating, the officials will not change a winning formula. They get rewarded by govt for their fraud.

I would rather see a youthful, innocent looking Naija team play in world tournaments and losing in QFs, I will applaud them, than see the likes of papas like Okoro and Chukwudi winning kids and say "We are GREAT" with so much excitement on my face. Tufiakwa!

A BBC reporter, Garth Brooks, kept on saying boldly live on air that he does not care, Kanu without a shadow of a doubt is over 40. He does not care what his official age says.  grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin
i get what u trying to say, nigeria will still be in mess if credible candidates are not put in office{from president,governors,senators,local gvt chairman,sports minister and so on}, its so funny that most nigerians don't care what the whole world say about us because most people have emulate the act of our corrupt leaders because they have no choice, we know the right thing but we keep shying away, i don't get it how things work in nigeria, i don't see how nigeria will improve if we still have this corrupt people as leaders, i weep for my country, for nigeria to tackle this age cheats or corruption,it will only take a miracle or war in the country although i'm against it because this is getting out of hands, i don't see nigeria improving Poo in the next 100 years with the way we are going{we keep electing mediocre,and corrupt candidate to rule us}, the next generation may not tolerate this mess and u know what that means{civil war in the country which i'm against}

@sagamite, i want to ask u this question, how old do u think this girls are?, i am against age cheat but since nigeria and nff do not have a functioning grassroot program like most developed countries and some other west african countries like ivory coast, burkina faso, gambia{this i know for sure}, how can this problem be solved completely because it is also affecting us in every aspects not only in sports, looking at the girls,i believe u will agree with me that none of them are 30 years of age or above grin grin grin, since we have corrupt leaders running our country and sports, their is nothing  people {like you,me and few people} who share our views on age cheat can say that will enter the head of some nigerians and the nff especially when the team is winning, personally,i still believe most o this girls are still youthful{maybe in their early or mid twenties which is fair enough}, i'll just advice the nff to graduate this girls immediately to the senior level  because if they don't, we are deceiving ourselves, this girls are in their prime now, and they say "WOMEN AGE FASTER THAN MEN BUT THEY ONLY LIVE LONGER.", i don't want this girls to turn into a yakubu aiyenonsense claiming 27 years old{this is what i call murder not age cheat} when the whole world knows,or a kanu nwankwo who still wants to give his best but can never cheat nature and many other dead wood in the super eagles, those are obvious age cheats not this girls, wish the girls best of luck against germany.

same goes to women also,

Most women are not comfortable when they have a female relation around most especially people from her own side. A friend of mine told me that non of her female relation not even her blood sister wil live with her or even pass a nite in her place for the fear of loosing her husby to them.
why will a woman marry that type of man if she can't trust him with any of her relation, these types of women are the ones that die of high blood pressure because of their insecurity, they are "HUSBAND WORSHIPPERS", i don't like such women,

@nayah, you are very matured in your comments but let me ask u this question, why is it that many african leaders don't think before they do things because i think your president {Paul Biya with all due respect} is on some kind of hard drugs or something, why does he want obudu ranch after all this years or did gowon or any other nigeria past leaders signed an agreement with cameroon concerning obudu ranch, u said cameroonians are not scared of nigerians, who do u think will lose more if the both country fight which i am against{me thinks its your country cameroon}, reason being that nigeria has a large number of military base than cameroon, better ammunition, money to to spend, nigerian military is more exposed than your country's military, activities like destruction and killings will mostly take place in your country and so on, i love my cameroonian brothers and sisters as i love my nigerian people but it is better for all the citizen of cameroon{including you nayah} to speak some sense in your president's head rather than supporting him because you don't start what you can never finish, @ezeuchenna, pls i'll advice u not to discuss this issue in nigeria if u are living in nigeria, ADVICE NO BE CURSE OOO,

u can't win the nations cup in the senior level because the time these so called "under 17" and "under 20" boys are suppose to graduate into the senior level,a yakubu aiyenonsense, olofinjana, yobo, shittu, john utaka, ayila and all other dead wood claiming to be a player are imposed on the corrupt coaches by the corrupt nff, this silly nff will wait until these so called under 17 and under 20 boys are 30 years or above before they consider given them a chance to showcase thier talent at senior level, none of the boys that represented nigeria at the olympics in beijing, under 17 or under 20 level are not up to 30 years old as some of u claimed, u enjoy playing soccer effectively when one is still at his early, mid or late twenties, u can't expect this current eagles squad to win when relying on a shittu, afolabi or yobo in defence, old ayila,or etuhu in the midfield, and a 40 year old yakubu aiyenonsense leading the attack, it will only take a miracle for this set of players to win any average team in the world and compete for 90 minutes not 10 or 15 minutes, we all see the result at the world cup, Nigeria should learn from her neighbor{GHANA}.

look at it objectively. what has siasia acheived?  is it the siver medals with OVER AGED players?
you are funny, so u mean siasia has achieved because u claimed he used over aged players to get results, any normal human being will agree with me that the boys siasia took to holland in 2005 and beijing in 2008 are not up to 30 years old, using players that are 2 or 3 years above the normal age standard is still acceptable or do u think fifa does not know this{mri scan or no mri scan}, if u are in you early twenties, mid twenties or late twenties age does not matter Poo when playing soccer{if u play soccer u'll know what i'm talking about}, i play soccer with guys 5 to 6 years older than me and we all compete agressively with one another, take a look at the germany or ghana as an example, u'll notice that most of their players are in their early or mid twenties with little international or club experience, most of them just turned into professional soccer player less than 2 years ago but they were still able compete with very good teams that have more established players than they do, my point is that age does not matter in soccer when u are still youthful{early, mid twenties or late twenties}, except u are a kinda genius and have a lion's heart like zidane, essien, drogba, maldini, makelele, canavarro and co, or players that are already making names for themselves in their early teen years like fabregas, messi, rooney, eto and so on, MY BROTHER age is nothing but a number when u enter a soccer field.

Why Siasia and the likes of him.I want to know, how many coaching coures have these so ex- internationals turned coaches have attended abroad.Look football has gone beyond the era of making selection based on players who are doing well in their various clubs in Europe coming together to perform magic.I will suggest the likes of Eguavon ,Siasia, Amokachi, should take time out to go out and undergo training courses in coaching abroad  and be well armed before taking up this job they are hustling for.
We wont be surprise to hear tomorrow that Kanu Nwankwo, and Yakubu are gunning to be Nigeria national team coach.
I still suggest the likes of Christian Chukwu and Amodu Shuaibu be appointed to coach the national team.
so u mean we should give a christain chukwu who faield to qualify us for the world cup in 2006 the super eagles job{are u kidding me} angry angryand a amodu who will invite a player like obinna nwaneri and other mediocre and unfit players{injured players included} to a  tournament, no matter the training courses a christain chukwu or amodu take, they will never be better than a siasia or a maradona who has never gone for any training courses, with all due respect,i'll advice you not to make this suggestion in public because a die hard fan can shot u with a gun if he has one, christain chukwu, amodu {u kidding right} after all the years they have been in charge what have they achieved, and who told you that amodu and chukwu have better qualification than siasia, siasia record speaks volume, nff must give the our man the job because he is willing to learn, have passion for the game and his country, hardworking, select players on merit and to crown it all DISCOVER TALENTS which a christain chukwu or amodu will never do in their life, to hell with foreign coaches and other mediocre coaches like amodu, chukwu and co, siasia is the answer, to hell with nff if siasia is not given the super eagles job

@mama-gee, i think any player in suarez situation will do exactly the same thing against ghana, c'mon they are professionals, i don't see it as cheating because the referee gave him a red card and awarded a penalty kick to the ghanaians (which is fair enough for the ghanaians}, the spectators booing suarez today are sore losers, he is still an hero in his country because he sacrified himself for his country at the crucial moment which gave them the fourth place position(equals uruguay's best record in the world cup since 1954).

Russia-based striker Osaze Odemwingie has questioned the leadership of Super Eagles skipper Nwankwo Kanu, alleging that the Portsmouth ace has failed to stand up for the national team.

Odemwingie accused Kanu of not protecting the interests of the players and would rather prefer to stay in the good books of the Nigeria Football Federation.

“Osaze is not happy with how Kanu has led the Eagles, he said Kanu is not ready to rock the boat so as to remain in the good books of the officials,” a source close to the team told mtnfootball.com

The outspoken Locomotiv Moscow star also confronted Kanu‘s vice-captain Joseph Yobo for hiding an injury to play in the final Group B match against South Korea in Durban.

Yobo was forced by injury to quit midway through the crucial match for left-back Elderson Echiejile to come in as Rabiu Afolabi moved to his more familiar role in the heart of the back four.

An NFF official told mtnfootball.com that Odemwingie had been a ”bad influence” on the team and was dropped by Lars Lagerback because they did not play to the tactical instructions of the Swedish coach.

lagerback is a clueless coach, when the list of the 30 man list was released, i believe that he is a big thief and has nothing to offer our football, how can a coach tell me that this current mediocre bench warmers are the best we have to represent the country in a world cup, ayila, etuhu, echiejile{jokes apart i am way better than this dude he has no clue of football}, i wonder how he made it as a pro, his agent must be a genius, the best player we have in this current eagles player is john obi mikel, this 30 man list and 23 man list were all the handwork of the nff, lagerback have no clue at all, he is as corrupt as the nff, the main problem is that we need overhaul in the system after the august election, playing in europe does not guarantee you to be a super eagles quality, i still believe that if a siasia is given this job, players like etuhu, ayila, john utaka, kanu{he is a fantastic player at his prime but footie don leave am behind since 2004},chidi ordiah, echiejile, shittu, yobo, yakubu{he may be scoring for his club but age has caught up with him},and many other mediocre bench warmers playing in europe, the coach cant tell us that a person in the name of etuhu, ayila is the best defensive midfielder the country can take to the world cup when we have good and young defensive midfielders playing in the local league, the main problem is the nff and the bunch of clueless players in the squad, you cant win a match easily against any team if 80% are mediocre players that are not match fit, we cant't be relying on ordiah, shittu, yobo and co to win matches with hearth attack football always, a coach that bring a dead wood utaka to the world cup is a stupid coach replacing a hungrier and agile stanley okoro, ahmed musa, under 17 and under 21 boys(we all know some are still in the mid twenties}and quality home based players who are not given the chance to prove their worth on the team, we dont need a coach that is too passive in football, we need a coach in siasia who will install discipline in the team and select his team on merit, we dont need to go eastern europe searching for one mediocre player when we have many talent in nigerian league, amokachi, eguaveon are nff boys they are not bold enough to say the truth, lagerback and all the nff thieves are birds of the same feather, lagerback, vogts are white version of amodu, lagerback is not we messiah we need in nigerian football, a coach that play defensive game against an ultra defensive team won't take nigeria no where, even before keita got sent off we had no clue, we scored against the run of play, even the commentator said it, we need total overhaul of the system and start afresh ASAP, nff must stay away from our football, they are the big problem

good game by the americans, if only the super eagles bench warmers could have the fighting spirit of the usa team, i was expecting them to lose to the slovenian today but they were able to restore themselves by playing with passion and pride for americans, advice to alexi lalas and co on espn is just to shut the hell up by underrating a slovenia side that qualifyed for the world cup beating russia in the playoffs coached by the genius guss hiddink, american is not thier yet as they claim, drawing to england does not mean you are on top of the world, if american face any west african team be it nigeria, ghana, ivory coast, cameroon;the usa team will surely lose because they have no syndrome in beating the west africans with all their altidore, donovan and bradley because they will be worn out physically by the strength of west africans, if only the nigerian team will have the fighting spirit of the usa team, but its a pity, all usa fans, if usa face ghana in the second round, i see the usa team lose, finally, alexi lalas in a slowpoke,he irritates me,also he is a calamity playing for the usa team in the 90's, obinna nwaneri is better than him in defence.

, i just hope the coach make a good 23 man squad without sentiment, the current eagles squad is shit, we dont have world class players any more in the team, all the players are average and some below average, i wonder who invited echiejile in our squad when we have good left back in the local league, players like shittu(gives his best but no technique),ayila{u can't cheat nature, he is too old),kanu(with all due respect) has passed his prime, footie don leave am behind since 2006,john utaka{too old},peter utaka{not a player that will compete in the world cup),yobo{he lost his passion for the game, we can see in his play,ik uche(he is not 100 fit),echiejile{God knows how he made it to the 30 man roster), IMO these players don't deserve to be in our 23 man squad, some of the players in the 23 man squad are a little better than the ones i removed from my 23 man squad, players like martins, aiyegbeni, ordiah, are just lucky to make my 23 man squad because we have no depth in the 30 man roster, the 30 man roster selected by the coach and nff are not the best we have in the country but GOD knows best, their should be places for the best striker in the nigerian local league in ahmed musa, he is far better than most of of current strikers in the 30 man roster, martins, aiyegbeni have lost their form and we may need the services of brown ideye in the starting line up because he is very young and his physical presence on the pitch will be a worry for opponents, he may not score a lot in the french league but he has been a first team player for his club and he plays regularly.my starting line up in the current super eagles squad will be enyeama, afolabi, apam, terna, taiwo, etuhu, mikel, haruna, ideye, osaze, anichebe, these is the best starting line up in the current eagles squad, players like keita, obasi, nsofor, adeleye, kalu uche, and any other 2 goal keepers will be add positive in the bench, negative players like martins, yakubu, ordiah, yobo and kanu will only make it because they are the captains in the current squad, but frankly speaking, kanu does not deserve to captain nigeria to the world cup as a player he is not competitive, yobo will make it despite the fact that he is a calamity, fellow forumites don't lose all hope in this squad and at the same time dont bet on this current eagles squad, i can't wait against argentina, i still have the feeling we gonna do well in the mundial if the coach concentrate more on my starting line up and the positive players he has on the bench, good luck to the super eagles in south africa, WE CAN DO IT
