To Seanet and co i think u guys were probably pushed and thats why u attack ibo's on this forum but i think its time u gave it a rest and b the bigger man. This dude was confident and brave enough to deal with those muthafkrs who tried to jack him, kudos to him. |
Crime / Re: Seun Ajayi Listed Among Uk’s 10 Most Wanted Fraudsters by assetstrip(m): 10:15pm On Aug 03, 2011 |
I don't usually reply when idiots make stupid comments but the intelligent ibo guys out here on NL need 2 speak up when cretins who claim 2 be ibo begin to talk a lot of drivel about other tribes, coz ur silence or lack of condemnation takes away from the great igbo tradition of warmth and wisdom. I am yoruba by the way. |
Politics / Re: President Goodluck & Wife Dancing (pic) by assetstrip(m): 11:19pm On May 30, 2011 |
wow!! I'm amazed at the negative comments here, it shows u are intellectually lazy. The guy hardly wears suits, 99% of the time he wears native attire, the guy wears a dinner suit and looks good and u crucify him, come on. Nigerians shouldn't criticize unnecessarily its unbecoming and as i said intellectually lazy. |
Politics / Re: Nigerian Woman Shot Dead By German Police Over Welfare Allowance by assetstrip(m): 10:42pm On May 30, 2011 |
listen my beef is not with the German police coz i don't know the full facts of the case, my problem as stated earlier is with naijas who can't compute that the supposed civilized law enforcement in western countries demean and denigrate black people period. Now the question of some nigerians disgracing themselves in foreign countries cannot be denied and they should be condemned but that doesn't mean they should be beaten, killed, or given ridiculouly long sentences compared to their white counterparts. |
Politics / Re: Nigerian Woman Shot Dead By German Police Over Welfare Allowance by assetstrip(m): 9:48pm On May 30, 2011 |
Tom28 dont waste ur time breaking it down to these niggaz they ain't got a clue . |
Politics / Re: Nigerian Woman Shot Dead By German Police Over Welfare Allowance by assetstrip(m): 9:35pm On May 30, 2011 |
The idiots i'm referring to i.e kissing the white mans azz, are those who give the lame excuse that the white man somehow has the right to denigrate and dehumanise black people coz we in Nigerians attack each other. i think that way of thinking is IDIOTIC period. Now the question of Nigerians attacking each other and generally misbehaving is a different issue entirely. Nigeria as an entity is rudderless and hence you have chaos period. |
Politics / Re: Nigerian Woman Shot Dead By German Police Over Welfare Allowance by assetstrip(m): 9:08pm On May 30, 2011 |
I think all those sad idiots kissing the white man's azz on this topic should be strung up that's all I have say |

Politics / Re: Missing Youth Corper Confirmed Dead. by assetstrip(m): 4:34pm On Apr 24, 2011 |
Firstly R.I.P to the fallen heroes, coz thats what they are in my book. Can i ask what the purpose of the NYSE is really, don't you think it has become obsolete in a country where sacrifice is hardly recognized? Christians and southerners particularly have never been a threat to the northerners, instead they have enhanced their host communities. I don't buy the excuse of illiteracy and ignorance, in any civil society there is decency, empathy and tolerance. u don't need to be educated or be religious to have these qualities, so i ask myself what is really wrong with these Almajiris and their so called educated leaders who prompt them? The FG needs to have this discussion out in the open inorder to find a way of preventing the eternal crisis of mass lynchings of christians and southerners in the North. |

Like i said earlier if the govt really want to make it happen it'll happen. |
Politics / Re: Nigerian States Will Soon Be Allowed To Distribute Power - Goodluck by assetstrip(m): 6:21pm On May 17, 2010 |
I just think its a no brainer, get the states to generate their own power, hook up to the national grid and any extra power generated they will be paid. |

Politics / Re: Nigerian States Will Soon Be Allowed To Distribute Power - Goodluck by assetstrip(m): 5:43pm On May 17, 2010 |
I think we should wholeheartedly support Goodluck in this endeavour, because it will be the spark ( no pun intended ) needed to actually see a realization of power generation in Nigeria. We know it can be done coz other countries have steady power so why can't naija, the simple answer is if the leaders of this country want to, it will happen. |
Politics / Re: Donald Duke Blames Jonathan For Weakness! by assetstrip(m): 11:34pm On Jan 11, 2010 |
Lasy year a lot of people who study the politics of Naija said Naija would very soon be on the brink, i thought they were correct in their analysis but never this soon. Every thing that could go wrong is going wrong. Now that there is a power vacuum, who should emerge because it certainly doesnt look like our friend Goodluck is ready. Everybody is worried about their own position and to hell with country. WHERE IS THE OPPOSITION? Nigeria has not had a leader for 50 days !!!! and our so called political elite all have their heads in the sand. Nigerians were qeueing for petrol through the xmas period even on xmas day!!!! and the country is about to fall into volcanic lava (is that dramatic enough) and yet we are still discussing what the VP should or shouldnt do. Surely we are past that, right now we need someone to stand up and be COUNTED |
Nairaland / General / Re: Happy New 2010 To All Nairalanders by assetstrip(m): 8:18pm On Jan 01, 2010 |
Happy New Year to all my people. To Meerkat who lost his job, dont worry the one upstairs has bigger plans for you. To all my people i pray we begin to think as NIGERIAN's and not just which tribe we come from. All the best wishes. |
Politics / Re: Identity Guard Commercial On Nigeria.....Good Or Bad? by assetstrip(m): 8:48pm On Nov 19, 2009 |
@Transformr I dey ur side my bro'. You see the problem with @Hackney and his ilk is that on 1 hand u make observations of the failures of the Nigerian state ( which i readily accept and agree with u on ) and yet on the other hand u r completely ignorant of the mighty disaster western governments have visited on Africa and Africans. It is exasperating to hear a fellow black man condemn his own in such a careless way |
Politics / Re: Sanusi: Derugulation Will Cause Inflation by assetstrip(m): 3:45pm On Nov 06, 2009 |
To Buttress gbawe's earlier point, if we are ever going to be serious as a country, deregulation in the downstream has to be enacted. I understand the fears and misgivings of Nigerians about prices going up but if the industry is to be sanitised at all it has to deregulated. Nigeria as a country is loosing out heavily in terms of investment in refineries, nobody will build refineries where the govt dictates the price. Sanusi's point about inflation is right but the govt can take steps to cushion the economy in the short to medium term while deregulation takes place. Sure there will be pain initially but if we dont deregulate we will continue to live in a false economy, we cant continue to allow a small cartel monopolise the situation. |
Politics / Re: Nigeria: Power Crisis And Prosperity by assetstrip(m): 2:17am On Nov 04, 2009 |
Like i mentioned previously, a country cannot progress when it is in perpetual darkness. For a start if there is constant power (sounds so far away) then we can see where we are going as a country, metarphorically speaking. When there is constant power Naija will wake up from her slumber and then and only then will we have a chance of survival coz what we have now is not survival but a failed state |
Politics / Re: Why We Hate Nigeria So Much - By The Diasporians A.ka. Nigerians Abroad! by assetstrip(m): 2:03am On Nov 04, 2009 |
9jaganja steady on mate, guys over here are protesting at every opportunity whenever those thieveing politicians come to town. There are several organisations over here making it clear to govt that they need to be held accountable for their actions. Aside from that have you not heard of the committments a lot of naija's continue to make whether it is doctors going back home on the regular and offering free treatments to communities, or whether it is those actually building clinics back home and many other committments, so take a chill pill and vent ur anger at those who deserve it namely your govt. |
Politics / Re: Nigeria: Power Crisis And Prosperity by assetstrip(m): 1:36am On Nov 04, 2009 |
I agree with mccloud, Nigerians need complete reorientation, forceful reorientation. Our moral fibre has been washed away by enforced poverty. Now the dilemma for us Naija's is how do we get the right leaders elected, how do we get rid of those who are perpetually in power and pulling the strings, i mean in practical terms how do we do it. This is what we should be discussing coz until votes count in Naija those blood suckers aint going nowhere. |
Politics / Re: Nigeria: Power Crisis And Prosperity by assetstrip(m): 4:58pm On Nov 03, 2009 |
Hi NL's, enjoying the discussion. If i can just add my two pennies to the debate, i think a lot of people don't really get the degree of the devastation of Nigeria being in perpetual darkness over decades, not just the devastation to the economy but to the psyche of the society. The RULERS of Nigeria have enforced Darkness not just in the sense of infrastructure but i think psychologically on Nigerians. Until the mentality of the people changes to OWNERSHIP then i'm afraid our country will continue to be in the brown stuff. |
Politics / Re: Akala Creates Lucrative Jobs For Oyo Graduates by assetstrip(m): 10:52pm On Oct 09, 2009 |
What gets my goat is the fact that the elite of Ibadan are not vociforous enough in condemning this looser on the desolation he has brought on the city of Ibadan and Oyo state in general. From what i hear the place has gone to the dogs, and this thinks he can get away with just setting up a taxi scheme for graduates!! what is this dude on. |
Politics / Re: Why Are Nigerians So Bloody Naive? by assetstrip(m): 8:44pm On Oct 04, 2009 |
illusion2 i enjoyed the way you deconstructed Rossike's argument, though Rossike made some points to buttress his/her argument it made too many assumptions and made too many generalizations. I think the common sense argument is that the USA will always look out for no. 1 andthats the bottom line for any American President. What African leaders need to realize is that they need to pull their heads out of their ass and get their act together so that when you come to the TABLE of Nations, you come in a position of strength and unity that way other countries can't reap you off and make a mockery of you. |
Politics / Re: Yaradua Should Resign With Immediat Effect! by assetstrip(m): 12:49am On Sep 26, 2009 |
Listen NL's i think the existence of Nigeria is on the brink, no jokes, this yaradua chap is having a laugh I mean seriously world leaders are in NY for the UN summit and this chap goes to Saudi Arabia to open a university, this guy is winding us up, he doesn't give a flying f**ck about Nigeria. He should be coming back to Nigeria to meet anarchy in the streets with people demanding he step down ASAP !! Every tom, dick and harry is taking the piss with Nigeria right now coz we ourselves are folding our arms while the country is burning. |
Gaming / Re: Nigerian Government Reacts To Sony's Playstation 3 Ad by assetstrip(m): 11:55pm On Sep 08, 2009 |
The Sony advert goes out of its way to malign Nigerians, Period. Nigerians are one of the largest consumers of electrical goods and so Sony should have been more sensitive in portraying us that way. I personally believe we should stop taking bullsh*t from organizations, countries or whoever. We need to start demanding respect. Not all Naijas are 419 so why should outsiders/ foreigners constantly get away with putting Nigerians down. There are lots of countries that have negative aspects but would not accept constant putdowns and stereotyping like we do. I say f**k Sony and make them remove the offending advert pronto!! |
Politics / Re: Rawlings: Yar’adua Prevented Kuffuor From Rigging Ghana’s Polls by assetstrip(m): 9:42pm On Aug 03, 2009 |
Hi guys, i reckon both bennyboy and gbawe have made valid points. My own personal view is that Nigeria can be so infuriating coz on the 1 hand we play & will continue to play a significant positive role in Africa and yet we cant get our act together. If Nigeria can get her act together there will be a major jump in the dev of sub sahara Africa both economically and politically. Coming back to Rawlings I have a lot of time 4 him coz he came in at the right time and pulled that country out of the deep valley they were in and at this moment in time we need someone with Ballz to Nigeria by the scruff of the neck and shake her into shape or else we will become a laughing stock. |
