Police Officer Allegedly Shoots Boy Dead For Retaliating After He Slapped Him

A police officer in Umuaka, Imo state, has allegedly shot dead an 18-year-old boy for retaliating after being slapped.

The boy’s killing stirred up tension in the town as the youths in the area began planning an attack on the police station.

According to village sources, the youths mobilised to attack the police station but some elders appealed to them to allow the police hierarchy handle the matter.

An elder in the area told The Nation: “I can tell you that the boys were not happy with the matter is that policeman killed the boy over an altercation. So, they had mobilised to burn down the station to show their anger and loss.

“But, some of us had to intervene because this kind of thing has happened here before about 15 years ago when some policemen caused the death of some people in Umuaka here and our youths burned down the police station. So we don’t want this kind of thing to happen anymore.

“Some of them are still planning to launch an attack but we’re still appealing to them.”

The state police commissioner, Rabiu Ladodo confirmed the incident. He added that the command was doing everything possible to contain any further crisis that might arise from the incident.

Ladodo also disclosed that the policeman involved had been arrested and will be punished if found guilty.

Rats blamed for eating N17 Million banknotes inside ATM

Technicians who arrived to fix a malfunctioning cash machine in the Indian state of Assam got a shock when they opened it up.
Notes worth more than 1.2m rupees (£13,300; $17,600) had been shredded – and the suspected culprits are rats.
Police said the rodents probably entered the machine through a hole for wiring, the Hindustan Times reported .
Pictures of the chewed cash at the State Bank of India branch in Tinsukia district were widely shared on Twitter.
One shows a dead rodent lying in the debris.

Police official Prakash Sonowal said that the machine had been out of action for about 12 days, the Hindustan Times added.
Technicians who took the unit apart found banknotes of 2,000 and 500 rupee denominations destroyed. They managed to salvage another 1.7m rupees, officials said.

I have done serious checking and cleaning but seen no answer..

Woke up one morning ,only for me to discover two of the poultry birds are dead and they didnt show any sign of sickness...and the most annonying thing is that they were the fatest and more active.
Please any ideas why they would die all of a sudden?? please i dont want to loose the rest of the birds..
