Many church members have been reportedly thrown in shock after Rev Clarence Smith Jr, a 45-year old pastor in Chicago was arrested and put under investigation for stealing Charity fund to buy himself a luxury Bentley ride.
Rev Clarence Smith is said to be the pastor of New Life Impact Church in Chicago, U.S. His story has started making several national headlines on various accusations of fraud and fund misappropriation. A recent Chicago Tribune publication reported that the pastor had pleaded “not guilty” to 4 different counts of fraud against him in a U.S District court.

Most notably among the current charges against the pastor is an accusation that he withdrew a lump sum of more than ₦52million ($142,000) from the bank account of the church to acquire a luxurious 2015 Bentley Flying Spur sedan for himself.

The renowned German automaker and one of the oldest automobile manufacturers in the world, Volkswagen – has recently unveiled an electric version of its old 1972 Volkswagen Type 2 bus popularly called “Danfo” in Nigeria.

1. The electric Volkswagen Type 2 “Danfo” bus
This new electric bus showcases the possibilities of the Volkswagen e-Golf powertrain in an astonishing way. Volkswagen commissioned EV West – an electric car conversion specialist from the west coast to construct this beautiful re-invented 1972 Volkswagen Type 2 “Danfo” bus that is electrically-powered powered.

1.1. The exterior
The exterior design and features of this new electric “Danfo” bus are just like the original version which runs on fuel. This is made possible by the modern electric vehicle technologies used for re-inventing the old bus which fits just perfectly. So, you can pretty much say this new “e-Danfo” is more like the same on the exterior as the old version except that the fuel intake “hole” has been swapped with an electric charger port.

1.2. The Interior
Just as seen with the exterior, a larger percentage of the interior of this new electric bus remained the same with the original version. The fireproof enclosures and the battery pack were reinforced in the fuel tanks former location and under the vehicle’s front seats respectively. However, the long-throw shifter which comes with the original old bus has been changed to actuate “Drive”, “Reverse”, “Neutral” and “Park” regenerative braking modes which is common to the e-Golf powertrain.

1.3. Under the hood
This new electric “Danfo” bus comes with a powerful powertrain and an impressive 35.8kWh battery pack collected from a 2017 Volkswagen e-Golf donor model. This gives the new electric bus a 125miles approximate drive range and this new powertrain now replaces the old 60hp air-cooled 4-cylinder engine at the vehicles rear compartment.

The electric Danfo packs a 100kW synchronous permanent magnet AC electric motor with a 1-speed transmission and a powerful charging system as well.

The police department of Milwaukee in Wisconsin, U.S.A – recently released a report of one unidentified angry driver who allegedly shot two children for throwing snowballs at vehicles passing by in the area.
In the released police report, it was stated that the two kids were busy playing with some group of other kids before this shooting incident occurred. The report claims that the angry driver allegedly shot the two children after a snowball from them struck a white-painted Toyota car passing by.

According to the police, the two children – a 13-year old boy and a 12-year old girl were found minutes apart. It was reported that the girl child got shot twice while the boy got shot once and both of them luckily sustained bullet injuries that were not life-threatening.

Popular soccer superstar and former striker for Manchester City, Mario Balotelli luckily survived an auto crash just at the very turn of the New year 2020 and had to reach his home on foot.

Reports claim that this accident occurred when the young soccer player was returning from his own New Year merriments which he celebrated by clubbing. The 29years old Balotelli was reportedly sitting at the passenger side of a Fiat 500 Abarth car that crashed directly into a bakery’s gate in Northern Brescia in Italy.

Mario Balotelli and his driver both survived the car crash with no serious injury but the skilful strike reportedly had to make his way home on foot that night. However, the Fiat 500 Abarth car suffered from the crash as it reportedly ended up with a broken front axle and body damage.

The unveiling of the first set of domestically produced electric vehicles in Turkey was a remarkable event as President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan unveiled two new prototypes by himself.

The production versions of these two domestic electric vehicles are expected to commence by 2022. During the unveiling of these indigenous electric Sedan and SUV prototypes, President Erdoğan notably said;

“Today, we are witnessing a historic day of realising Turkey’s 60-year dream together.”
“We have been saying for years that Turkey needs to produce its own car, that we deserve better than being assemblers”
“Turkey has become a country which is not only a market for new technologies but also a country which develops, produces and exports them to the world.”
“They managed to hinder the production of Devrim (Turkey’s first homegrown car). But they will not be able to hinder (the production of) this automobile,”
“We do not have to buy a license or permission from anyone. We determine all the technical features by ourselves”

This domestically-made electric vehicle production project is fully backed by the Turkish government. It is expected to provide about 4,000 employment opportunities and cost about 22 billion Turkish liras (₦1.3 trillion or $3.7 billion).
These beautiful electric vehicle prototypes were made by a Turkish Automobile joint venture group called “TOGG” and this group plans that in 15years to come, it should have made 5 different models of these type of electric cars. It currently has a planned factory located in Bursa that is expected to produce around 175,000 units of these newly unveiled Sedan and SUV models by 2022.

The government of Turkey has also promised to provide enough land for building the production facilities as well as grant tax exemptions to the company with an additional guarantee of purchasing 30,000 cars annually till 2035 end.

A recently released report by PUNCHNG [/b]claims that [b]17 different filling stations have just been sealed off by the DPR (Department of Petroleum Resources) in Gombe state under various infractions allegation.

The DPR team that carried out this recent operation was reportedly led by Gombe state DPR Operations Controller, Abdullahi Abawa.

According to the PUNCHNG reports, a total of 37 filling stations have now been sealed off by the Gombe state DPR between the months of July & December 2019 alone. Also, the reports claim that the Gombe DPR sealed off these new 17 filling stations between Monday 23rd of and Wednesday 25th of December 2019 for several offences ranging from unauthorized building plans, operating with obviously expired licenses and parking of trucks indiscriminately at their various outlets.
A quoted statement by Abawa in the report reads;

“We are determined to sanitize the system; we want to warn against breaching the extant law by filling stations operators.”

One Ethiopian man seems not to be among those who will worry about their next house rent as he literally built a comfortable house for himself directly from his own truck. His name is Abinet Tadesse and he seems to be a very gifted inventor and innovator.

During an interview with BBC News, this Ethiopian man revealed that he was inspired to build this structure because he loves to eat and spend most times on his truck. He said;

"I like eating and spending time in my car. That's what inspired me to build a house on this truck. The house has three-bedroom, two living rooms, three bathrooms. This truck was formerly a freight transporter,"

According to Abinet Tadesse, this astonishing project took him 3 years to actually complete but he is happy that his dream house can ride on wheels and be taken anywhere he wants. While expressing his joy, he said;

"I am very happy to have implemented my ideas and invested them on my property. There's no greater happiness than living in what you've built yourself,"

A lady with the name Linda Akudo Nwachukwu recently took to her Facebook page to share a shocking experience of how she overpowered some One-chance operators that later pushed her out of a speeding Keke-NAPEP.

Linda Akudo Nwachukwu narrated that this incident actually happened on the 23rd of December 2019 – just two days to Xmas. From her story, she luckily survived the horrible experience but sustained several injuries on her body from the sudden fall. Read her full story below;

I didn't waste any time than to rush his hands while he was struggling to bring the object out, I needed to know if it was gun or tagger, at this I had no other option than to struggle the tagger with hin in other to save my life and belongings.
To cut the long story short, God gave me the strength and courage to face him, when they found out that I have created so much awareness they decided to push me out of the running keke....

Governor Sanwo-Olu’s administration is the main initiator of the delivery and construction of this ultramodern edifice that will activate a new transportation blueprint for efficient traffic management in Lagos state.

During the opening ceremony of this new building, Sanwo-Olu highlighted the recent substantial improvements when it comes to implementing the Lagos state traffic laws notably with the introduction of the Lagos Computerised Vehicle Inspection Service (LACVIS) and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR). The Governor while giving his speech during the ceremony, said;

"With the commissioning of this new operational headquarters for VIS officers, we are consolidating on the progress we have recorded so far in transforming the transportation sector. VIS plays a critical role in ensuring that vehicles that ply our routes do not constitute dangers to the commuters.
“Vehicles that break down are major contributors to traffic gridlocks in Lagos, which result in avoidable losses of productive life and time. We must minimize this destructive breakdown of unworthy vehicles through strict enforcement of relevant laws aided by the application of modern technology.”

Tuesday 24th of December 2019 (Xmas Eve) was not a happy one for owners of two filling stations that got sealed off by DPR (Department of Petroleum Resources) in Kano state. Both filling stations were alleged to have been short-changing their numerous customers even at this Yuletide period.

DPR also closed one gas station for allegedly running operations without a government-approved license.

Mr Amos Jokodola, the DPR Operations Controller for Kogi state told reporters that he led the team that sealed off the filling stations; Always and Emmalis in Lokoja because they were treating customers wrongly.
He also warned other petroleum product dealers in Kogi state to desist from all sort of dubious acts. In his statement, he said;

“We are preparing for Christmas and New Year. We will monitor the distribution and the selling of petrol, kerosene and gas to customers during and after the Yuletide season.”

On Tuesday 24th of December 2019, the Chinese government donated 100 brand-new police vehicles to Ghana in an effort to help the nation strengthen its law enforcement and capacity building.

A report from the News Agency of Nigeria (NaN) website records that the Chinese ambassador to Ghana, Wang Shiting explained that these vehicles were particularly donated to help protect both foreign investors and the Ghanaian people as well.
Wang Shitting reportedly commended the currently increasing bilateral progress and exchanges made in the further development of China-Ghana relations. He also added that China has now become the biggest investor and trade partner to Ghana.

The NaN report claims that Ghanaian President, Nana Akufo-Addo genuinely expressed his full gratitude to the government of China for this kind gesture towards the Ghanaian police and said that China was a reliable and strong friend. He reportedly added that these donated vehicles will surely reinforce the logistical capability and mobility of the Ghanaian Police generally.

Local manufacturing of armoured vehicles is fast becoming a lucrative business in Nigeria as more auto companies keep springing up from various part of the country. Recently, Obasa Specialty Vehicle (OSV) company located in Ijero-Ekiti launched its first-ever armoured vehicle named “Tekowi”.

This vehicle is reportedly designed by two brothers from the royal family – High Chier Victor Obasa and Johnson Obasa of Ijero-Ekiti. It was also gathered that the auto company Obasa Specialty Vehicle (OSV) which unveiled the “Tekowi” was originally commissioned by the late High Cheif Joe Oluware Obasa on the 5th of December 1980 when he was a distributor for the popular PAN (Peugeot Automobile Nigeria). The late Chief’s two sons are the ones that upgraded the company to the level of manufacturing unusual vehicles for civilian usage and for security personnel.

During the unveiling of this armoured vehicle, High Chief Obasa explained that the name “Tekowi” was actually coined directly from the words “Te Oko wi”, a local Ekiti dialect meaning boots or sandals worn by hunters and farmers regularly for navigating thick bushes safely. He also went further to reveal that the “Tekowi” vehicle is one that combines luxury with ruggedness.
Not many details about this “Tekowi” armoured is revealed yet but, we do know that it is fully functional, bulletproof, mine-resistant and capable of navigating some of the hardest terrains to drive on. Other notable features mentioned by Victor Obasa during the unveiling are listed below:
- Four-wheel drive system
- High ground clearance
- A customized interior that can be tailored to meet customers’ specifications
- High quality and modern integrated stereo system

Would you ever drop a ₦120Million worth Mercedes SUV from a helicopter just because you are disappointed with it?
Well, a certain Russian Vlogger recognized as Igor Moroz, seems to not mind this method of destroying an expensive fully functional SUV.

Moroz wanted to express his displeasure with the German automaker (Mercedes). So, he decided to airlift his ₦120Million worth Mercedes-AMG G63 SUV into the Russian Sky and then have it dropped down to the bare ground from almost over 1,000ft, smashing it into a complete wreck. The high-riding iconic SUV got smashed beyond recognition in a matter of just seconds after hitting the ground from the high helicopter drop.
Igor Moroz is a Vlogger that specializes in special pranks. According to him, the G-Wagon SUV has been pissing him off since he acquired it in the year 2018 for around 16.8million Russian rubles (about ₦120 Million in Nigeria price). He claims that the SUV needed some type of repairs almost every month but the dealer has been refusing to get some those repairs done under his warranty.

Contrary to Igor Moroz’s claims, some Russian media believe that the true story is far different. They claim that Igor Moroz and one of his friends had a fight over a contract with an agreement that whoever loses will have to drop his own G-Wagon SUV from the sky actually. Now, considering that such a stunt will never be allowed in Russia, the Vlogger had to even hire a helicopter from a Petrozavodsk airport for an extra 250,000 Russian rubles or $4,000 (approx. ₦1.44 million).
However, the Russian police for transport are already investigating this incident with the aim of knowing why this young guy decided to drop the G-Wagon SUV from the high sky.

This is the same SUV that most Nigerian celebrities proudly flaunt on their social media pages � with various additional motivational speeches LMAO.

The Nigerian police recently reported the arrest and further drilling of a certain Lagos security guard at Ginti Estate in Ikorodu area who is suspected to be responsible for the death of his boss that was found burnt in a car in his own compound.
This mysterious incident reportedly occurred around 2:30 am on the 15th of December, 2019. In the reports, the deceased was identified as one Mutiu Agbosasa while the arrested security guard is one Rohis Adamu Dana. This security guard reportedly put a distress call through to the police station informing them that the life of his boss (Agbosasa) was in danger.
After this call, the police team led by the Ijede Divisional officer reportedly rushed to the scene only to meet Agbosasa’s body burnt beyond recognition right inside his own vehicle in his compound.

In the police reports, Mr Bala Elkana – the PPRO for Lagos State said;

“The crime scene was cordoned off for forensic examination. Homicide detectives and forensic experts from the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), Panti, Yaba, were deployed to the scene for analysis. The body of Agbososa was evacuated to the hospital for autopsy.
“The security guard who is 44 days old in the employment was arrested for questioning. In his statement, the suspect stated that on December 14, at about 10:30 p.m. he opened the gate for his boss to drive into the house but while he was closing the gate, four strange men entered the house through the pedestrian gate.
According to the suspect, he heard his boss shouting that he should run and call the police. He said it did not occur to him to call neighbouring security guards for help as he made straight for the nearest police station.
“Investigation is ongoing with a view to unravelling the circumstances surrounding the death of Agbososa and identify those behind the gruesome murder. Meanwhile, security has been beefed up in the estate,”
