I didnt know we have another Javier Solana here on Nairaland. Do I have to lecture you that EU is a group of countries and not just one Country. Each country has his or her own way of operation. I wonder how been an EU Citizen is a big deal that becomes a drama with u. If You dont have answers to my questions, why dont u just waka pass.

My Brother I grew up in Ibadan and lived there while His father was calling the shots and he as The Man of town. That wasn't a gist,It was a reality. It contributed to his father loss of popularity in the state.
Politics / Re: Dapolam Accepts Defeat, speaks to Nairalanders by awolumate(m): 9:52pm On Oct 07, 2008
@Fhemmmy

Obviously You don't know anything about Naija politics or who Dapo is, Then u might just be better off as a spectator, just read and pass abeg. We that grew up in Ibadan and roaming the street of Ibadan looking for jobs after Degrees upon Degrees while His father reigns as the Oyo state Governor and Him Dapo painting town red with his numerous cars, booze and girls , hmmm Dapo eheheh wonders shall never end.

@ Dapo

If your father offered us nothing then I wonder what you have to offer us. Like father like Son. And with the way you go about oppressing youths during your father days would be an insult upon injury to have you as Rep which is possible cos there are No elections in Naija, its all about Selection.

For all those that were in Ibadan or lives in Oyo state during his father reign . You can all recollect what his father reaction was on a live TV program when he was asked on why Dapo is spending and living large around Ibadan,This is the father Response. Ah efi awon omo wun le oo,Awon omo wun jiya po. Eje won o jaiye won oo ( Meaning Please leave those kids,They have suffered a lot,let them enjoy themselves ). Same goes to the wife and we knew you were all nothing before your father became the GOV. God will judge u all. Assholes. sad Lam ko Ram ni.

@ poster .

I am in Shenzhen. As you are traveling to Shenzhen, Hong Kong is the best place to fly to or Guangzhou. You will travel by train for an hour to Shenzhen and coach takes 2hrs if you arrive from Guangzhou and it takes just 25min from the Hong Kong Airport to Shenzhen Shekou port. Entered through same route few days ago and been doing so for years,

@ Globalaid.

China southern do transit for long hours in Dubai, I have never been on the Airline internationally as I usually fly BA , Aeroflot and Emirates but aware of that through friends and family coming here from Home because they are cheap.  I disagree with you that you can get an Air Tickets at 50usd from Shanghai to Guangzhou shocked ,by the way thats about 340rmb haba Globalaid, I usually buy my local tickets on www.ctrip.com and the cheapest I have ever got from them despite having a Platinum Card was 880rmb (thats about 120usd) . Please let the poster knows what she will face here thats why she is asking for help. If Air tickets cost 50usd to GZ from SH now I wonder how much would the Train ticket cost? , Ctrip has the cheapest ticket and hotels in China, Again China Air travel is not cheap compare to other countries based on my experience, have u heard of jet airline and tiger air That fly within Asian countries at an extremely cheap rice? I am talking of rate of about 20usd return ticket from HK to Singapore or Thailand and ever heard of Ryanair in Europe? That airline is a common man Saviour within EU among many other low cost airlines , ryanair flies from 1euro upward .once did a round trip from Malpensa,Milan to Stanstead,London at 14euro, While the cheapest Ticket I ever got in China was 880rmb and most expensive was 2700rmb . China Air travel ain't Cheap my Brother,
Travel / Re: Traveling To China by awolumate(m): 1:48am On Jun 10, 2008
@poster,

virtually all major Airlines that fly to Nigeria comes to China. They all just have to pass through their home countries in transit for few hours. The only Chinese Airline that ply the Lagos route is China southern and the price depends on the season as applies to all airlines. Your best way in securing a cheap ticket or knowing best airline for you without a Transit Visa is to talk to an Agent. Loads of them on virtually everywhere in Lagos.

From experience, most Nigerians to China fly the following Airlines due to the fact that they are cheaper, gives about 50kg free and need no transit visa. Mind you none of the Airline is direct to China. Even China Southern would transit in Dubai for close to 12hours. My best recommendation would be Emirates (better comfort, flight entertainment and lovely on board foods) lots of shopping at Dubai airport with free internet access to your laptop or compatible phonegrin

Emirates.
Qatar,
China Southern,
Ethiopian Airline.
Kenyan Airways

Mind you , China is very Big. Please get the Flight that goes to the City you are visiting directly or at least closer because you might end up buying another local ticket within China which is not that Cheap and traveling by train can last till next day, You are free to ask for any details about the cities here. I goes to China 12times in a year and presently in China.

@ Sister Jennykadri,

Bahamas is an Island that stand as a Country on her own. Not part of the US but so close to Florida, The British High Commission is responsible for the Bahamas Visa in any country they do not have an Embassy.

@ Poster

If you are going there as a legal resident . its a lovely country but as illegal ? Please stay back Home, That country is so small and they are having the share of our men already , Also a large number of their Doctors and Nurses are from Nigeria.

Those guys at the station are Senegalese, some are operating an illegal Taxi with their rickety vehicles, some selling pirated DVD ,hard drugs and anything they can sell. Its always an eyesore when you see the way they hang around . Sunday is for our Benin Boyz , eheh they would be there in hundreds holding beers and argue on top of their voices. An African Pub is not far from there and that Station is the meeting point for both old and young.

@ Jacq,

I tire ooo, We kuku dey here and plenty pass people wey dey for Benin lol ,The guy just breeze in and out like lone ranger , May be Transit him dey sha, Nice pics anyway except that Vicjustice Camera needs a replacement. You for do shopping for Italooooooooooooooo

I live in Brescia and not living far from the Stazione (Train Station). where you took that pic. In fact I usually eat at the kebab shop opposite where you were standing, What do you think of our Brothers from Senegal always hang around the station ?,

Hope you had a great Trip, Please let the Critics be. Talk is cheap.

@ NV ME,

Your sponsor knows better, I think you should let her do the findings on what are required from you. , Based on my Experience Sponsoring a resident card for someone is more easier than just a visiting Visa, Italian stuff are quite different from other Countries,

As I said the person sponsoring you knows where to get all the necessary info from. It shouldn't be your headache.

Good Luck,

@ NV ME.

To answer your question. If your Mom has Indefinite stay thats called Carta di soggiorno here. She can sponsor her daughter down here if she has a stable job with income and a house ( That would be inspected) or if she is married to an Italian,

Its possible but not with a visiting Visa. She will know better. ,
Travel / Re: What Is Life Like As An Illegal Immigrant In Europe by awolumate(m): 11:38pm On May 29, 2008
@ poster.

Please do not think of living in Italy as an Illegal Immigrant .Nawah has said it all. Moreover, If you were born in Italy as you have claimed. Your picture should be on the permit of stay of your parents. According to Italian law you are not Eligible for Citizenship because none of your both parents were Italian Citizen. You can actually google for more Info or contact the Italian Embassy for better advice.

For you to claim Citizenship,Either of your parents must be Italian . You can ask either I or Nawah for any more details or advice.
