Opinion poll causes jitters in Ogun State

Fresh facts have emerged on why some political parties are spreading fake rumours that Ogun State African Democratic Congress (ADC) Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka has stepped down from the race.

The rumour which has backfired and exposed the weaknesses of GNI opponents had been discarded as failed propaganda.

But unknown to many the result of the opinion poll conducted by an independent Swaghenz Consult and released Tuesday morning showed that the ADC candidate is comfortably leading in 15 out of 20 local government areas in the state polling 43 percent of all the total votes cast.

Second of the list was the APC that scored 25 percent while PDP came distant third with 19.8 percent. APM polled 12 per cent. Other parties scored less than 0.02 per cent in an opinion poll that sent many politicians back to the drawing table in the state.

Majority of the respondents said they considered integrity and track records of the candidates in voting in the opinion poll. Besides, some of the candidates were said to have one Issue or the other the law court which made them to fail integrity test.

Respondents are also of the opinion that never has political parties in Ogun State fielded some candidates with questionable characters. While one is still facing certificate forgery scandal, another is an American ex convicts while one cannot even travel outside the shore of the country.

Reacting to the opinion poll, APM e-rats went to town with fake news that the leading contestant, Isiaka has stepped down as a diversionary tacit to water down the effect of the opinion poll.

Also the result has rattled APC apologists that doubled their attack on GNI and entertaining themselves on thier wishful thinking.

However, many analysts in the state have approved the veracity of the opinion poll as a true reflection of what voting pattern will look like on Saturday. They advised the electroreates to be vigilant and defend their votes to prevent ballot box stuffing, altercation of result sheets and vote buying that characterised Presidential and National Assembly elections in the state.

Isiaka Denies Alliance with Akinlade, Confident of Victory

Ahead of the March 9 election, the gubernatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka has dismissed reports indicating that he has formed an alliance with governor Ibikunle Amosun's preferred candidate in the governorship race, Hon. Abdulkabir Akinlade.

The governorship candidate made his position known in a statement signed by the Director, Media and Publicity, Gboyega Nasir Isiaka Campaign Organization (GNICO) Bolaji Adeniji,
expressing confidence in his victory at the polls.

According to him, the rumour which is being circulated on social media is a blatant lie and a deliberate attempt by the opposition to scuttle the bright chances of the gubernatorial candidate who is on the cusp of victory.

The statement further clarified that GNI had no meeting with Amosun, neither is there any relationship between them, saying "Our Principal spent the whole of Monday 4th March on Media engagements, a trip around Ogun central Senatorial district and deep into the night in strategic meetings with his team and select groups at his Ibara GRA, Abeokuta residence."

"GNI remains the gubernatorial candidate of the ADC, the preferred choice of the Elders and leaders of Yewa-Aworiland and the unassailable option for the good people of Ogun state who wish to be liberated from misgovernance come this Saturday.

"The ADC is the most peaceful and organized party in ogun state which GNI is proud to be associated with. Our Symbol is a contented man and can never be swayed by evil inducement at the detriment of his determination to clean the rot about to be left over by these same persons.

"We wish to state that GNI as the governorship candidate of the ADC remains strong and focused on the race ahead; suffice to that we are set for victory in Saturday’s governorship election. Our supporters and the voting public in Ogun State should disregard the wicked rumour and go all out to vote for GNI as the next governor of Ogun state and all the ADC House of Assembly Candidates on March 9th 2019." the statement concluded.

The reason for quote is this. I breakup with my grilfriend some months ago. We later settle the issue and continue our relationship. After some weeks i later discover that she is dating another guy. We take about the issue and she agreed stop the relationship. She now post the quote, am asking for the explanation. I asked her about the quote but she refuse to talk on it. When ever i ask her about the relationship with the other guy. Her mood will change etc.

.COR RUPTION which was the leading theme in Nigeria as a whole was evident in the DEAN OF STUDENT AFFAIRS OF OGUN STATE COLLEGE OF HEALTH....How much longer do we have to live like this?? As i write now 9 students of OGUN STATE COLLEGE OF HEALTH ILESE IJEBU are currently in the hospital and then in tears and trauma i ask this question....WHERE IS NIGERIA GOING??WHY CANT STUDENTS HAVE A SAY??MUST CORRUPTION ALWAYS SPEAK ??...........Talking about the NIGERIAN SOLDIERS whose primary objective is to ''protect the citizens'' left their duty post after being lured and bribed by the NIGERIAN CONSOLIDATED BREWERIES OFFICIALS to beat unarmed innocent students...95% of the students of OGUN STATE COLLEGE OF HEALTH TECHNOLOGY who are girls were serious dealt with and striped naked...

Its tragic how one loses an important person, still going through pains of the lost soul the worst happens........Today being the 6th of December 2016 a final year student of OGUN STATE COLLEGE OF HEALTH TECHNOLOGY IN THE DEPARTMENT OF DENTAL THERAPY was on her way back from the bank to withdraw her project money and the little feeding allowance attached to it, got crushed by the NIGERIAN CONSOLIDATED BREWERIES TRUCK loaded with lots of alcoholic drinks i.e 33,Goldberg...... Funny enough before the arrival of the students down to the accident scene, the Nigerian Consolidated Breweries officials had called the attention of soldiers of ILESE Barracks who shot speedily at students,as a matter of fact students got injured especially females students,as if that wasn't enough the soldiers of ilese barracks invaded the school premises and still shot at the students..
