Politics / Conference 57 Cps Pay Condolence Visit To Hon. Valentine Buraimoh Over Late Cps by AyindeJamiu: 10:20pm On Feb 06, 2019
Members of a professional group, Association of Chief Press Secretaries(CONFERENCE 57 CPS), paid condolence visit to the Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area, Hon. Valentine Buraimoh, Wednesday February 6, 2019.

The media aides were at the Council Chairman's resident to condole with him on the death of late Comrade Irikefe Evwibovwe, who was the Chief Press Secretary and Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Hon. Buraimoh.

While receiving the group of Conference 57 CPS, at his private residence at Lakeview Estate in Amuwo-Odofin, Hon. Buraimoh who described the late Irikefe as a humble, vibrant and intelligent CPS thanked representatives of the group who came to condole with him over the death of one of their members. He said the rally ought to have been suspended because of the incident. “We are human beings, even an animal demands little respect, let alone individual lives,” he added.

The Council boss described the incident that led to the death of Comrade Irikefe as a condemnable act. He urged the group to write formally to Senator Yayi Olamilekan and express their displeasure on why the rally was not suspended in order to sympathize with family members and friends of the bereaved.

CPS Oluwadare Saheed from Iba LCDA commended the Council Chairman for the show of solidarity over the demise of his CPS. According to him, late comrade Irikefe was unable to wear his dress uniform of the CPS Conference 57, hence the need to present it to the Chairman as a mark of respect to the dead. “It’s quite unfortunate that our colleague never stayed to wear this regalia, we cannot hold it, and as the Principal we have to present it to you,” he said.

Hon. Buraimoh, however revealed that Senator Olamilekan Yayi came to his house in the company of Hon. Akeem Bello to condole with him after the rally on that day, and with a promise to visit the family of the bereaved afterwards.

The late CPS Irikefe Evwibovwe died alongside three others in a ghastly motor accident after the Hilux van conveying him and some APC members to a rally of the party’s candidate for Lagos-West Senatorial district, Senator Olamilekan ‘Yayi’ Solomon, lost control and tumbled shortly after the link bridge at Festac extension road in Amuwo Odofin LGA on Monday February 4, 2019.

NYSC / Six Must Have For A Passing Out Corp Member by AyindeJamiu: 10:34am On Nov 02, 2017
I want to congratulate and celebrate with all passing out corp members. As you are passing out today, ensure you have the prerequisite and attribute of a complete graduate in Nigeria. The one year service you have undergone remains a process of molding you. These are some six elements that you must take along with you as you are passing out.

Physical Fitness: The very first requirement for a resourceful youth is fitness. You must be physically fit, this is why every morning during your 3 weeks camping programme, there is always fitness activities. Don’t drop this as you move on. Ensure you remain fit so that you can be useful for yourself and our nation.

Good Character: As a graduate from any institution in this country, you have been certified morally and academically. Don’t betray your institution confidence in you. You must possess good character and relate with others with courtesy.

Organize in Affairs: it makes me feel bad when I see some unorganized Nigeria graduates. Having study in the university or polytechnic as the case may be, it should be taken that you are well organized. The school you came from has an organized calendar, NYSC is also well organized in its activities. You have been taken through a 3 weeks regimented life to practically make you organized in your daily life. Don’t throw that lesson away; be organized daily to live an organized life.

Civilized in thought: As a graduate and a certified workforce for our economy. You must have a civilized thought. Your logic and innovative mind must meet up with the contemporary way of life. You must respect others and ensure you update yourself with the situation around the globe.

Time Management: Time they say is like a sword, if you don’t cut with it, it will cut you. As a graduate you must manage your time effectively and efficiently. Time is what builds up all that is great, if you wish to become a giant socially and economically, you must have time management skill.

Beneficial to others: The essence of one year service to the nation is to teach you how to work for the benefit of others. As you go on in life, don’t do things for your benefit only, work out some of your activities to benefit others. Some people strive for some benefit you are enjoying today, contribute your own quota to the society.

My very dear esteem passing out corp member, as you are going to the society, keep these six attribute with you and make them as your working tool.

From a friend.

Politics / Chairman Alimosho Commend LASUTH And LASUCOM by AyindeJamiu: 2:11pm On Oct 04, 2017
Every 29th of September is recognized as the world heart day. Today about 17 million premature death occur from Cardiovascular disease (CDV), we can come together to reduce this number.

Health as the saying goes is wealth. We are responsible for our health. It is our duty to monitor what we eat and drink, we should reduce or stop smoking, do more exercise and know our blood glucose level.

This is the time to take charge of our health. I commend the effort of Lagos State University Teaching Hospital and Lagos State University College of Medicine for the free heart screening brought to the door step of my people.

To my ever healthy people, Fuel your Heart, Move your Heart and Love your Heart

NYSC / Six Take Home For A Passing Out Corp Member by AyindeJamiu: 3:12pm On Nov 04, 2016
Once again let me congratulate you for the successful completion of your service to our fatherland. Today your status has changed not only in your family but also to the nation. So also your role and responsibilities. Technically, you have been successfully trained for the rest of your life, today the nation acknowledge your autonomous to make decision for yourself and contribute to the success of our growing society. As you are saying goodbye to NYSC you need to take note of the following:

Be focused: There are several challenges ahead, don’t get derailed. Dream big and plan towards achieving your dream. Surely, you will be distracted at one point or the other, don’t lose focus; remember it is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light.
Be industrious: The reality is that not all of you passing out today will get a job from our economy. Don’t wait for opportunities, create one for yourself. The NYSC scheme understand the challenges of our economy, thereby arming you with soft skill to survive in live. Develop the skill you learn during the past one year, be creative about it and start up something to contribute to the society. My brother, don’t wait for what the nation will do for you, consider what you will contribute to your growing economy.

Be Responsible: Throughout the years of your existence, probably someone has been responsible for part of your sustenance. Don’t pass out to become a burden to your family and society, take charge of your life. Jim Rohn said it all: you must take personal responsibility. You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself. That is something you have charge of”.

Take charge: Just don’t wait for what will happen to you, take charge of your life. Plan, process and proceed. Your future starts now, your ability to make decisions now and not wait for instruction makes speak loud. Your life is in your hand.

Don’t give up: Always remember this point, irrespective of what you will come across, “Don’t Give up”. Those who succeed greatly today tried several times before achieving success, keep on trying to get better in life.

Be a good ambassador: You have just been endorse as an ambassador of this country, you have successfully completed the learning curve of understanding what we stand for. Every child in your community now sees you as a role model. Don’t be a bad one. Be sure you do the right thing at all time.

I welcome you all to the world of unlimited opportunities.

Your very good friend.

NYSC / Expectations From A Passing Out Corp Member by AyindeJamiu: 12:13am On Apr 12, 2016
Jubilations and encomium usually floods the passing out Parade ceremony of NYSC. Many corp member are always happy that today, "we have successfully climb another step in our career".
Now that you have finished serving, copious expectations await you yourself, from your family members also from the society at large. As you are celebrating today, know that you are metamorphosing into the world at large to give out your best to the society.
Yes, you have today put off the Khakhi, PPA is a thing of the past, CDs will no longer miss your presence. However, you should not seize to obey the clarion call, the call to lift our blessed nation high, the call to work hard all times and the call to be dedicated to all our duties. This are some of the message that shouldn’t pass away with the POP. Today our expectations are much, so you need to get set for the task ahead, don’t relax at this junction because this is just a milestone and not the end of the journey.
Expectations from yourself
I am sure that you have set amazing expectations for yourself. As some are preparing themselves for good job, others are analyzing and ruminating on how to start their own business and life. Some are yet to conclude on what to do after service, yet we all have expectations of a good life after this time. Know that life is not a bed of roses, you might not get your desired wishes as you planned for it; don’t loss hope rather get yourself together and move ahead.
Distinguished passing out corp member, don’t contribute to the liability of the country, think of how you can start small and grow big. Ensure you use the various skills you have learnt in life, school and NYSC to contribute meaningfully to your community.
Expectations from your family
My very dear passing out corp member, your family are waiting for you to make them proud. You have now put on the cap of responsibility. They expect you to have a better carriage of yourself, a more robust thinking and a problem solving mind. To some of us, they expect you to get serious with marital life, you are not getting younger by the day, they will acclaim.
Your family are expecting you to come back from service to the father land and serve yourself and them better. Don’t allow their hope to run out of them, make them happy by having good ideas and not derailing from been responsible.

Expectations from the society
Our passing out corp members, today Nigeria is blessed with another set of youth that will contribute to the growth of the country and not to the unemployed masses. It is our hope that after the service year, your immediate community will get the best out of your ability, your skills will be valuable to our nation. Contribute effectively to the making of our dear nation and not to mar it.
Together we can make this nation great again. This is the time to think about what we can do for our dear nation and not what the nation can do for us. Together we can make Nigeria Great.

Once again, I congratulate you for this stupendous achievement. Have a great future ahead.

From your brother and Friend.
