Technology Market / Is Oyato Shopping A Scam? by Ayo79(m): 12:09pm On May 10, 2022
Guys

I ran across a shopping website called Oyato (www.oyato.ng) that allows you to purchase an item and repay back in 4 easy monthly instalments. I was told that once your first instalment payment is confirmed, you will get your item delivered.

I thought this was too good to be true but a friend used them and vouched for them so I decided to give it a try last week and placed an order for a brand new samsung phone and made the first instalment payment on their site which i must admit was quite super easy.

Lo and behold, I got my brand new phone delivered yesterday. Brand new and original.

This just shows not to judge a book by its cover. I really advise anyone looking for the best in electronics, mobile phones, etc to give them a try.

Anyway, just wanted to share my experience.

Politics / Re: US To Relocate Consulate To Eko Atlantic City by Ayo79(m): 10:43pm On May 15, 2019
what you fools should be asking yourself is does Roland Chaugury sound like a naija name? Foreigners have taken over Nigeria. Go and look at who owns eko atlantic or eko hotel. No other country will you find any Nigerian owning all the major companies but we allow that stupidity in Nigeria without asking any questions.. more interested in fighting one another while the foreigner steals all our money.... kmt

so what is so special about this? How many black women sacrifice their lives in western world working, 2,3 and still doing nanny jobs looking after white peoples kids and doing all sort of odd jobs? We do not hear this idiot crying for them but as soon as Africans see oyibo that speak our language or live with amongst us.. we start to congratulate them, cry for them, praise them... etc..

you folks need to free your mind and stop worshipping whiteness!

African nations must tie any negotiations they have with these western countries on free movement of its citizens. if Britain want to open up free trade with us, then our people must be able to move freely into these countries.

Don't forget that the reason UK is now embracing Nigeria is because they have now left the european union and are now looking for new trading buddies. Nigerian leaders need to stand up and ensure that whatever deal is signed, is for the benefit of Nigerians. Nigerians/Africans should ALWAYS put our self interest first above pleasing all these western nations. If not, this will be our second colonisation.

Sports / Re: Lessons Learnt From Super Eagles Match Against Ivory Coast by Ayo79(m): 1:05pm On Feb 04, 2013
I think the best legacy that can come out and be learnt from the victory of the super eagles yesterday and the whole Nigerian coaching staff and players at this tournament is that we do not need a foreign or western, white coach to help us lift a trophy or win games.
In this tournament, I have been watching Stephen Keshi closely and I have to say that I am impressed with the way he has conducted himself, he never points fingers, takes everything in his stride, never play the blame game and most important of all, he seems to command the respect of his players. He looks to me as someone who is technically astute, as shown in his tactics in the game yesterday.

I think al lot of other African countries will now look at Nigeria as a leading example of using home grown talents rather than importing foreign goods to do what we can do ourselves. it made me feel proud yesterday that we won, but even prouder I was that it was one of our own who was at the helm when it happened. I think it's time we start realising in Africa that only we can resolve our problems and not foreign powers. Well done to keshi and the boys.

Politics / Re: How Will You Rate Jonathan's Interview With Amanpour? by Ayo79(m): 9:19am On Jan 24, 2013
The job of a president is to carry his whole country on his shoulders with poise and guile. In a World where where the international community is now closely connected , one of the main job of a president is to look presidential at all times. I am afraid, our dear Jonathan is everything but presidential.

when you are doing an interview, even if the person interviewing you is not standing or sitting right in front of you, the norm is to look at the camera as if the interviewer is in front of you. This will show that you are serious about what you are saying, not scared to address tough issues and a look of confidence.

Looking down like a small boy with his hands caught in the cookie jar is not the way a president of a population of 180 million should conduct himself during an interview. Jonathan has no charisma. Thats not a fault of his, charisma is something you are born with and it does not necessarily make you a good president. Many world are not charismatic but please, if you know you are not good public speaking or interview, you need to get some professionals in to start coaching you. Do you think obama, mandela and all the other good orators just became good at public speaking like that, it takes a lot of coaching and practising. Even David Cameron has people that advises and teaches him how to public speak and feel comfortable when doing interviews.

But having said all that, it is not really about public speaking, look at Hitler, Stalin, Gaddaffi etc who excelled at public speaking but had bad intentions. its all about whether a president gets the job done or not.

Politics / Re: Eric Schmidt Visits Fashola in Lagos [Pictures] by Ayo79(m): 4:09pm On Jan 23, 2013
No wonder Nigeria is where it is today.

I personally think, the visit of the head of Google to Lagos State has underlining importance in the emphasis Lagos state seems to be getting on the international and global scale in terms of good governance and a place they feel they can do business.
Eric Schmidt is one of the most powerful men on the planet and the fact that he has chosen to visit Lagos state can be nothing but good news for Nigeria and shows, in some measure, the intentions Google has for Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole.
Lagos State could soon become the IT hub of Africa, and with the backing of these powerful Internet giants, they can help us realise and achieve this goal maybe sooner than any one of use expected.

Rather than come up with constructive arguments (if you don't know who Eric Schmidt is and/or against his visit to Nigeria?) you will rather talk about trivial stuff like whether a man should cross leg when sitting down and what Fashola was wearing... are those the real things that matter to you more than power, technology, clean water, good transport links etc?

I will also like to mention that I have met Fashola in person and he is of a superior mentality to most of those he is governing and i sometimes wonder how he is able to function/govern effectively in that kind of environment..

You are all collectively to blame for the state Nigeria is in today when all you want to do is talk thrash all day about stuff that don't really matter... you will rather talk about Chris Brown dancing azonto with wizkid on stage than be interested real stuff...

anyway, thats all for now...

Romance / Re: Why Do Very Smart (intellectual) People Suck In Romance? by Ayo79(m): 12:59pm On Dec 15, 2011
maclatunji:

Google the word 'NERD'!

Being very smart, clever, intellectual does not make you a nerd. I think this is why our kids do not want to study anymore because they do not find being clever as cool or attrractive to the opposite sex or appealing to their peers. But in truth being clever is actually very sexy and attractive to the opposite sex especially if you add a twist of swagger to it. So caling intellectuals emotional vegetables is far from the truth.
so you can go ahead and call me a nerd but I can bet I bang more chicks that you will ever dream of.
Romance / Re: Why Do Very Smart (intellectual) People Suck In Romance? by Ayo79(m): 12:15pm On Dec 15, 2011
and which case study did you gather this fact from? I am an intellectual and I do not suck emotionally, actually the opposite. In lieu of this I will need more lights shed on where the evidence came from.
