#MamadorBreakfastSeries: Healthy Breakfast, And the Mamador Light Fat Spread Con

After going for at least 7 hours (the period you were asleep), without food, I believe it is safe to say that breakfast is something that should not be toyed with, it should be taken seriously. Even though you were asleep for most of the time, it does not change the fact that you went without food and after a while, breaking that fast is important.

99% of the healthiest breakfast food is lightweight. Now not only do they satisfy you, they do not impede your daily performance but rather, help you perform better.

Studies have shown that kids and young adults who go to school without breakfast tend to have a less than impressive performance in school work. Same goes for an adult in their.............

Good morning cheese lovers! This particular Grilled Cheese Sandwich breakfast recipe is very intriguing because we will be using three (2) different types of spread for this sandwich. For those that would like to go on a food venture, this is for you

Ingredients:

2 slices bread

Butter

Mayonnaise

Heat a heavy pan over medium-low heat.

Thinly spread one side of each bread slice with butter. Spread the other side of each slice with mayonnaise and place the bread, mayonnaise-side-down, in the pan.

Divide the cheese evenly on top of the buttered slices. Adjust the heat so the bread sizzles gently.

When the cheese is about halfway melted, use a spatula to flip one slice over on top of the other, and press lightly to melt.

Health / 8 Apps For Every Busy Mom by azbeat(m): 3:17pm On Aug 30, 2017
Our smart phones have become a lifesaver. They contain so many apps that every busy mom needs to have to make life easier and more productive. Did you know that there are apps for scheduling and for grocery shopping? Your android or iOS phone also have apps that remind you to pay bills, compare prices of products, and for recipes. Now, the great part is that they are all free. And not only that, you can find them on your android or iOS device . Here they are:

1.AnyList has an easy-to-use interface that allows you save and share multiple lists with friends and family. It also affords you the liberty to also save recipes and add items to your list using Siri or Reminders. It’s available for free on iOS

2. Grocery IQ is built for utter simplicity because it organises your shopping or grocery list. It also comes with an autocomplete feature that suggests food items as you type, which is great for busy moms like me. It is also available for free on iOS and android

3. Big Oven just wants you to cook more. The app has more than 250,000 recipes in its database for you to choose from. Don’t know what to look for specifically? Tell it what’s in your fridge, or what you’re browsing for in the grocery store, and it will send you recipes that you can make with those items you shopped for. The app also has a grocery list feature, so you can add and save items to scroll through once you hit the supermarket. It is available for free on iOS, Android and Windows device.

4. Evernote looks like just a list maker at first glance, but it is so much more than that. If you find yourself often piled up underneath heaps of papers where you scribble your ideas, Evernote can help you get organised. It allows you scan whole documents, insert photos and videos, add notes and then automatically sync everything to your computer to be stored online. You can also create to-do lists on the app, set reminders, take pictures as memory keepsakes, and everything is stored into Evernote It’s a great organisational tool great for busy moms who are trying to be more organised.

5. Remember the Milk is another option for a great to-do list app. It allows you to set reminders and priorities for tasks. One great benefit about installing ‘Remember the Milk’ is that you can set it to remind you to check an item off your list via several different media platforms such as email, Twitter, text message, iMessage, and their mobile app.

6. Google Calendar is one of the most recommended app for every busy mom This app is readily available to any mom who has a Gmail account or an android phone. You can set appointments with specific times -manage reminders, as well as share the calendar with anyone. The best part about Google Calendar is that it syncs with many other programs including other apps, software programs, and organizational tools. Many people use it as their go-to mobile calendar because of its ease of use and familiarity with other tools.

7.Cozi is an all around organizational tool that allows you to schedule appointments and reminders. You can even colour code each item according to each family member to make it easier to see who needs to be where at what time. It also has a grocery list and to-do list, as well as a recipe box. It has a journal where you can store pictures and notes so you don’t forget about those all-important little moments of your crazy days!

8: Google Keep is a great app for every list-makers out there. It allows you to make several different kinds of lists like to-do lists, grocery lists, gift ideas, and appointment reminders. You are also able to share Google Keep with family members. They are able to add to lists or check stuff off, so you can see that it has been done and everyone can be on the same page.

Health / Re: Practical Tips For A Flatter Belly – How To Deal With The ‘mummy Pouch’ by azbeat(m): 6:35pm On Aug 16, 2017
azbeat:
The biggest complaint that most women have is about belly fat – often referred to that the “mummy pouch”. While some women are naturally blessed with flat bellies and seem to have no problem with the “snap back” after baring children, the vast majority of us actually have to do some work in order to achieve and/or maintain a flat belly.

Now before we go any further let me address the fact that growing and birthing a child is no walk in park and it does change our bodies. Looking back at old photos of yourself before you had kids and wishing for that same body again could be a sure way to set yourself up for disappointment. I am in the best shape of my life- in my thirties, after 2 children -but my skin is not quite what it used to be – I have stretchmarks and lose skin – and it’s OK!As mums it’s important for us to be REALISTIC with our goals. Expecting to have chiseled abs like those we see on social media and in magazines is not a bad thing, but it may not be realistic. On the other hand, constantly obsessing over belly fat will not make it go away either. Many have turned to drinking flat tummy teas”, wearing waist trainers and even starvation as a means of losing belly fat – but still don’t see results.The truth of the matter is that the best way to deal with the unwanted “mummy pouch” is cultivate habits that are HEALTHY, PRACTICAL AND SUSTAINABLE for our busy lives as, mothers, wives, employers, business owners etc. Weather you have just recently had a baby, or you have been struggling with the ‘mummy pouch” for several years, here are some practical tips that can help you achieve a flatter belly;
Clean up Your Diet – It’s true what they say, “Abs are made in the kitchen” – so this is be best place to start! Eating poorly results in weight gain, bloating, and excess water retention – all of which contribute to an increased waistline.
Practical ways to clean up your diet include;

Trading processed carbs like white rice and white bread for their whole wheat versions.
Eating plenty of lean protein – such as skinless chicken or turkey, fish, eggs, beans & lentils, nuts and seeds.
Consuming healthy fats like avocados, nuts and fish.
Avoiding high sugar foods
Watching salt intake

Reduce Your Portions – The reality is that most of us eat much more food than we need and it slows down or impedes progress. Even if what you are eating is healthy you still need to..............

The best ever solution for breast sagging for nursing mums

Breast sagging is a major concern for many nursing mums. But not to worry as we have just found the best ever solution for breast sagging as it relates to nursing mums.

The Chief Consultant, Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, National Hospital, Abuja, Efena Efetie, says that wearing firm brassier could help prevent breast sag after six months of exclusive breastfeeding.

Mr. Efetie described as erroneous the perception by most nursing mothers that exclusive breast feeding could lead to breast sag, thereby denying the child the much-needed breast milk.

According to him, the main factor for floppiness of the breast is due to lack of support with a firm brassier.

“The use of firm brassiere during breast feeding and after weaning could help tone back the breast.

“After breast-feeding a child, the breast can never be the same as it was before the conception; the firmness can, however, be maintained with proper care,” he said.

Mr. Efetie said floppiness of the breast could be as a result of most nursing mothers’ consistent tying of wrapper around the chest, which further affects the breasts’ muscles.

The gynaecologist noted that such practice, over time, weakened the ligaments and could cause the breast to sag You can also learn how to firm your breasts naturally

He, however, said the benefits of breast milk to a child outweighed the perceived negative effect on breast.

Mr. Efetie warned that such psychological belief should be discouraged in the society.

“The benefits of breast milk to the babies are enormous and should be paramount to every mother.

“Babies that are well-breast fed hardly fall sick; their immune system is well-built due to the nutrients in the milk.

“Breast milk contains antibodies which help to fight and protect the babies against infections.

“It also promotes quick recovery for sick babies, and ensures that they do not frequent the hospitals, he said,” he said.

According to Mr. Efetie, natural milk is specially designed to cater for the needs of babies, noting that the more the baby sucks, the more the milk is produced.

He, however, urged mothers to be hygienic when nursing babies and...........

Health / Busy Mum Hacks For Fast Healthy Children’s Meals by azbeat(m): 12:54pm On Aug 04, 2017
By Seun Sangoleye

I believe in my heart that the Proverbs 31 woman had a hack, a formula or whatever meme we may call it that helped her gain popularity as the well rounded woman, model wife, mother, enterprising woman and all her many caps of success.

This is because I have a hack for busy mornings, a hack for laundry, another for getting to functions and church early, another hack for looking beautiful and fresh always and most importantly, a hack for daily bible reading and devotionals. Just google “busy mom life hacks” and world of endless possibilities awaits you!

I am going to be sharing some feeding hacks and a meal plan for children.

Feeding Hacks 101

Always have a plan

You don’t have to follow the one you pasted on the kitchen door, but you must plan your meals even if only in your head at least a day in advance, preferably, plan the weeks meals on weekends.

Cook in large batches and freeze.

Do not let your kids miss out on Jollof rice on a busy morning. You can make Jollof rice sauce as well as other soups and vegetables in large batches and freeze.

Explore!

Check out some restaurants in your area, you just might discover a wonderful restaurant that cooks delicious homemade like meals. e.g Making moi-moi from scratch is a laudable effort but if there is a store that sells delicious beans pudding in around you, buy some and freeze. Pop in the microwave for breakfast to go with your child’s favorite cereal.

Buy in bulk

Buying in bulk is cheaper but it also helps when you have needed groceries handy as at when needed.

Buy Pre-processed

If you use spices as much as I do, you will agree that dried ground spices will help you save some time you would have spent peeling ginger, turmeric or garlic.

About Her: Seun Sangoleye, CEO Baby Grubz Nigeria ®, has always been a foodie and kitchen pro.
Her passion for Toddlers and Baby food and nutrition was stirred when she had her son and was clueless about where to get reliable homemade foods for her baby.
A trained Computer Scientist with years of hands on engineering experience, now a certified special chef to adorable little customers who makes the advice of nutritionists and pediatricians yummy for your baby! She is happily married to Wale and they are blessed with........

My Motherhood Story-Modupe Eyinla, founder of iMumZone

The lovely Modupe Eyinla is the brain behind iMumZone-one of Nigeria’s biggest Motherhood platforms on Instagram. Very reserved and unassuming, fabmumng got this doting mum-of-two to share her beautiful motherhood journey with us. We hope her story inspires you. Happy reading

Please tell us about yourself?

I am a mum of 2 boys. I am a beauty entrepreneur, mum blogger and a content creator.

Why did you leave paid employment late last year?

I left when the business technically closed shop. Though, I didn’t find fulfillment. I was reluctant to leave as I had lost the passion for the job. Everything happened at the right time, and I had to take the bold step and here we are.

Please tell us about your foray into mummy blogging?

I founded iMumZone two years ago. The generation of young mums is getting larger by the day and I realised that we need a platform where we can be ourselves and also hear other mums talk about their experience. It was actually my husband that came up with the name iMumZone.

You currently run one of Nigeria’s biggest motherhood platforms on Instagram. Do you derive fulfillment as a mummy blogger?

The over 43000 Instagram followers on iMumZone is all sweat and blood. The more you put in, the more you get. When you truly are passionate about something, the fulfillment comes automatically. When mums reach out to talk about personal issues, and to seek advice, it shows that my platform in a way is providing solutions.

…And your love for make-up artistry?

My love for make-up has always been there;I have always enjoyed the make up art.

Quite a number of Nigerian mummy blogs are springing up by the day. What are your thoughts on this?

It’s a good development. This gives mums different avenues to...........

Fashion / Shine In Metallics by azbeat(m): 2:35pm On Apr 25, 2017
Shine in metallics

Knowing how to style a metallic outfit will help you make look your best this Christmas. Glitter and shimmer in a chic metallic outfit this festive season:

Day-to-night look

Although metallic fashions are often thought of for cocktail or evening wear, gold, silver and other metallic tones can be worn during the day. For a daytime metallic look, choose slightly muted tones and pair them with classic, neutral colours like tan, black or navy. In the evening, you can really let your metallic outfit shine. You can also choose brighter, flashier hues for a truly standout look.

Shiny separates

Most metallic tones act as near neutrals and can be paired with a wide range of colours. As such, separates are an easy way to introduce metallics into your wardrobe. Try wearing a gold sequin top with black skinny jeans for a great night-out outfit. For office wear, tuck a silver-hued silk blouse into a navy pencil skirt. Add black patent pumps, crystal stud earrings and a menswear-inspired gold watch, and you will be picture perfect.............

Health / 6 Reasons Why You Must Practice Yoga Today by azbeat(m): 11:51am On Apr 20, 2017
6 reasons why you must practice Yoga today

ncient practice with origins that dates back to thousands of years in India, is designed to help individuals achieve a more positive outlook on life and a focused, permanent sense of serenity and peace. The word ‘Yoga’ itself means union and union with the divine; however, many people have stripped the spirituality attached to the practice so much so that most people think of it as a group of people exercising in a weird manner. In the meantime, here are sic reasons why you must practice yoga today:

It’s convenient

Convenience in time management is essential in keeping both your mind and physical cognizance in tune. Nobody has the time to spend hours on exercising and if you are exercising for less than an hour, you are not optimizing your productivity. Many yoga sequences would take at least 15-20minutes and does not require any equipment just your willingness to get it done. Yoga can be practiced anywhere and anytime.

It’s safe

Compared to other forms of exercise, yoga demands that you slow down and move with your breaths. Just in case you have a history of injuries, it can be dangerous to adhere to hyper-competitive and high impact training. If it hurts don’t do it, rather go for something that helps you relax and at the same time keeps your body and your mind in tune.

It’s fun

Yoga is fun and offers you a light-heartedness that is unlike any other workout. New pose can help with different flows that can help you take a more youthful perspective on your physical practice which in turn, deciphers the way you see the world around you.

It’s encouraging

Other training philosophies will suggest, you go ahead of yourselves while pushing yourself beyond your own limit. Yoga philosophers suggest that you should be content as you are while you challenge yourself completely. Yoga helps you find the good in yourself while you strive to be better each time you practice rather than, push you beyond your own limit.

It’s effective

One most important quality of a strong yoga practice is its effectiveness. People practice yoga for many reasons, some fo physical fitness, some for mind and emotion control while others for flexibility. It all depends on what you want to achieve. Just in case you want to burn fat or lose weight, yoga is just right for you. Some body weights exercise can be performed in a circuit that is, one after the other and.............

Pork Fried Rice(Recipe)

This meal took exactly 1 hour to prepare and the result = magnificent! marinating the pork was a great idea as it turned out just fine. We added some chicken broth to the rice and this gave it a very different taste. The meal requires no extra effort.

Ingredients

360 g pork (boneless)

2 cups rice

4 tbs vegetable oil

1 can mixed vegetables

1 pc pepper

2 tbs soy sauce

2 pcs egg

1 teaspoon salt

1 stock cube

Method

Wash and cook the rice and set aside

Marinate the pork with stock cubes and salt for in the fridge for about 30 minutes

Pour the oil in a large skillet. Stir fry for about 2 minutes or until slightly brown and set aside

Pour the rice into the large skillet for about 2 minutes. Stir in some chicken broth and soy sauce. Make a well in the middle of the mixture and add..........

winged eyeliner tutorial for busy mums

As a make-up artist, I love the winged eyeliner look because it adds some drama to the eyes. It also perfectly defines the eyes and works best if you have tiny eyes. Also, for people with really tiny eyes, some eye shadow colours make the eyes appear tinier, but once you apply winged eyeliner, it pops out automatically. Sadly, I can’t do a video tutorial but this picture tutorial will guide you on how to draw your................

Step 1: Draw a line at the outer corner of eyes just by your eyelid.

Step 2: Draw another line on your eyelid very close to your lash line to connect to the one you drew first.

Step 3: Draw a wing from your lash line in an upward manner to the first line.

Step4: Follow the line and fill in all angles neatly; your skin colour isn’t supposed to show so fill in the line from top to bottom with your eyeliner.

Step 5: Congratulations you just got ‘winged’.

To achieve the look, you can opt for eyeliner in liquid, pencil or

Practical Tips for a Flatter Belly – How to deal with the ‘Mummy Pouch’

By Mosope Idowu

The biggest complaint that most women have is about belly fat – often referred to that the “mummy pouch”. While some women are naturally blessed with flat bellies and seem to have no problem with the “snap back” after baring children, the vast majority of us actually have to do some work in order to achieve and/or maintain a flat belly.

Now before we go any further let me address the fact that growing and birthing a child is no walk in park and it does change our bodies. Looking back at old photos of yourself before you had kids and wishing for that same body again could be a sure way to set yourself up for disappointment. I am in the best shape of my life- in my thirties, after 2 children -but my skin is not quite what it used to be – I have stretchmarks and lose skin – and it’s OK!As mums it’s important for us to be REALISTIC with our goals. Expecting to have chiseled abs like those we see on social media and in magazines is not a bad thing, but it may not be realistic. On the other hand, constantly obsessing over belly fat will not make it go away either. Many have turned to drinking flat tummy teas”, wearing waist trainers and even starvation as a means of losing belly fat – but still don’t see results.The truth of the matter is that the best way to deal with the unwanted “mummy pouch” is cultivate habits that are HEALTHY, PRACTICAL AND SUSTAINABLE for our busy lives as, mothers, wives, employers, business owners etc. Weather you have just recently had a baby, or you have been struggling with the ‘mummy pouch” for several years, here are some practical tips that can help you achieve a flatter belly;
Clean up Your Diet – It’s true what they say, “Abs are made in the kitchen” – so this is be best place to start! Eating poorly results in weight gain, bloating, and excess water retention – all of which contribute to an increased waistline.

Practical ways to clean up your diet include;

Even if what you are eating is healthy you still need to manage your portions because too much “healthy” food is still too much food and will not help you towards achieving your goals.

Some practical ways to do this are;
Use a smaller plate – this will help train you to eat less
Use this as a general guide for what your plate should look like ¼ Carbs, ¼ protein, ½ vegetables.
Don’t go back for seconds! Drink some water first and wait a little while, you’ll likely find that you aren’t actually hungry – probably just bored!

Do Cardio – Cardio burns calories; calories burning equal fat burning, so doing cardio is essential to ensuring that the extra pounds and inches are falling off. Try to incorporate ~ 30 minutes of cardio a day into your routine.

Good cardio options include;
Brisk walking/jogging/running
Cycling or swimming
Skipping of climbing the stairs
HIIT (High intensity interval training)

Strength Train – You need to build muscle to increase your fat burning ability. So strength training is very important. You don’t have to lift heavy weights or even enter a gym in order to get the benefits of strength training, but you do need to add sufficient resistance to achieve desirable results.

Some easy ways to add resistance are;.......................

Religion / Re: Mbaka Says Biafra Agitation Should Be Spear-headed By Elites, Not Children by azbeat(m): 3:16pm On Apr 03, 2017
espionage48:
By Anthony Ogbonna
Musing on the video clip that shows Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka of the Adoration Ministry Enugu comment on the Biafra agitation, the fiery Catholic priest is seen saying that the journey for Biafra agitation should be spear-headed by the Igbo elite and not by the youths as currently done.
In an adoration prayer which was held some months back, Fr. Mbaka, in the video and speaking Igbo language during the sermon, said he will join the course for Biafra agitation if the Igbo elites come out. Below is the transcript of the sermon. (Watch video below.)
“Please, nobody should tell you again that the Igbos are forsaken. We are believing in nonsense. If poor children should begin agitating for Biafra, there is nothing bad in Biafra agitation. But we are still saying it strongly, those who said it is Biafra that we want now, let them come out let us see the cream of the Igbos. All of us will go about it. All these poor children agitating in the streets will go behind us.”
“For a father prays that his son become greater than him. What will happen to the child should happen to me. That is the prayer of the father. We are not saying there shouldn’t be agitation for Biafra. But let out political cream, those with whom the land stands with: If you come to Anambra, people like Ekwueme, Peter obi, Emeka ofor, and all the Ubas that fill Anambra, all of them will come out, you come to Enugu, all the likes of Ekweremadu, ken nnamani, what Enugu state stands gallant with, Sullivan, all of us will come out.”
“ Both the political and the spiritual, all the likes of Pius Anyim, its all of us that will go the journey of demanding for Biafra. Not our children who are trading, they are shooting to death our children. Where are those people?”
“They all have hidden in Abuja and abroad. Am not saying let the Igbos be killed. Am not saying Biafra agitation should not be done. But those who will be at the fore-front; If there are people from Amogu who are here, they will tell you that I came there on Wednesday at night. They were shooting guns and bullets were raining everywhere.”
“There were some children I sent on an errand but i was the first to seat there and they knew it was me who came. What would happen to those children, let it happen to Mbaka. Jesus said, instead of these people to die, let Him die on their stead. That is a leader! Not when one will go and stay and use poor children for sacrifice.”
“ When they are saying what they don’t know, children who don’t have any kobo and “Toro,” children who don’t have money to invest in their businesses, they brought them to the main road. Those who are supposed to go the journey of Biafra actualization are not those children on the main road. When you come to Imo, the likes of Iwuanyanwu should come out.”
“The likes of Pius Anyim and all the likes in Ebonyi will come out. When you come to Owerri, all the big ones they have will come out; those in Abia will come out. Both lay people and Rev. Fathers. When all of us have come out, the crème de la crème of the Igbos, then we will begin the journey for Biafra agitation. We will hold a meeting and know what we want. Once they come out, I (Mbaka) will join them o. I will join them. Instead, I will even pay for the flight ticket and we will charter a plane and go. So that they should stop killing our children!”
“ Did they say the children and the police should fight? Anyone they shoot to death, we begin to endure. There is no one of them saying that that loves the Igbos more than I do. If you want to be a leader, just come out fully and become it.”
“I said, when Obasanjo froze the container of cement belonging to Ibeto on the high sea and it was trying to expire, I entered flight from here and went to meet Obasanjo face-to-face. I went and met him in Aso Rock and told him that I am finished. That the children of the Igbo tribe said I should ask you, what has the Igbos done to you?”
“And you say let the children be roaming the streets on the pretext that they are agitating for Biafra? When the street dog is killed, then you know the owner.
I don’t believe in cowardice. If the time is ripe for when we will have the said Biafra, then those for whom the land muscles with, come, say a venue and let all these poor children get behind and let the millionaires come out!”
“There is no how the police will see Iwuanyanwu and Ekweremadu, see Sullivan Chime and then shoot at them. They can’t see Artur Eze, Gburubguru (Gov. Ugwuanyi), see…what is the name of the one that governs Anambra, Obiano, when they see the crème of the Igbos going in the streets, who will shoot in the air, how?”
“ Let them not use the poor children for sacrifice. I don’t want to understand what people are saying. How Mbaka decided to keep mum, so I should agree that the children be shot to death? Look at that time they passed from Enugu, nobody told me where they were going, nobody told me what they wanted.
