Jobs/Vacancies / Re: The MAIN BITTER Reason Alot Of Africans Cannot Work Remotely Online by Babbyad: 4:52pm On Nov 02
Mehn! I almost lost a lucrative remote job cos of Internet speed too. Thank God the guy gave me a second chance. On fixing the meeting for the second Chance he gave, I went to my state government resident to use their WiFi. Na so I take join the team o. Is been 8months plus now and I'm still part of the team. Now I don't even have to go to my state government house again to make use of their WiFi based on the fact that I'm now a force to reckon with in the team. Thus, they don't care about my network again.
Sapeleboy911:

Hahaha!! you got me there. Last week I was on the verge of making some partnership deal with a Sweden resident in setting up a betting bot to run on PC. Considering the fact that my cost of electricity was more cheaper than his. We made some rough estimate costs for hardware equipments and the rest . Ogbeni called me on a video call to run speed test on my 3 devices for MTN, GLO, and Airtel. The highest I got was around 28/18 for MTN, took Airtel almost a minute just to connect, GLO kukuma fail to connect to server. After the call, he didn't reply to my chats, only for him to comment on a thread I made that my country's internet speed is slower than an that of a snail and that if a bot is a setup using my network, the bot will be struggling to place a bet on the first half, while the game has already progressed to the second half, I was confused between crying or laughing out loud.

What you ordered for was gotten around you. All those tracking and sorting are just for formality.
Harddiskng:
I would be surprised if they are making shi-shi in Nigeria.

I can remember one of my orders, I’m not even sure if i paid up to N500 for delivery. It was transported to about 3/4 touch points before getting to me, from one end of Lagos to another.

It really baffled me, not just the cost of transporting it, the cost of handling, sorting, tracking etc. I kept wondering to myself, shey this people would make any profit like this or nobody is paying attention to this their current supply chain system.

I don't know how true this is... But I like it.....
AuthorMan:
One fact that every Nigerian refuse to realize is that Nigeria is not a mate of any country in Africa. I mean the whole of Africa. Only few countries in Europe can be said to be greater than Naija.
You would not know this until you step out of Naija.
I am a traveler so I know what Im saying.

The day you step out of this country is the day you will understand and appreciate Nigeria. Forget the Demonic politician which one day a brave soldier will overthrow and kill or jail.

Naija is the envy of the whole of Africa.

I dey one African country as I dey type. These guys are living 50 years behind my great country. And this is a big name in Africa. You just wonder why?

Desperate to travel out?
Be careful where you go. Don't waste resources.

That’s life for you. People from poverty get a chance to become something. They waste the opportunity because their minds can’t adjust to their new position. They then return to square one to try starting over. Humans are taught to never forget humble beginnings. That happens only in a perfect world. Humans live in the present.

Very weighty words...

she said it does not really matter, saying even if she wanted to betray me, is it that guy that has disrespected her sis and degraded her that she’ll screw, or someone that has not even paid salary for the work she did.

Thank you for the tutorial...
santaclaws:

The major difference is treatment. It's not as if our wood is not good enough but they are not treated so we don't have the same quality of finished wood for home construction.

In terms of cost however, it would definitely be more expensive in Nigeria since treated wood is not ready available.
Foreign Affairs / Re: 45 People Killed By Hurricane Sweeping Across US State Of Florida (Photos) by Babbyad: 9:26pm On Sep 29
Does that mean is quite expensive compared to bricks.
So now my question is this. Can one get such wood of high quality like that here? The thought of it instead of bricks fascinates me..
santaclaws:

It's not like we can't but it's not the best material for building homes, especially if you cannot maintain it. Also you need lots of lumber (wood) and they have to be highly treated.

It's only in US & Canada that they use wood like that... Other developed countries like the UK and other EU countries use normal bricks, so it's not even advisable.

Our own houses can last longer without maintenance.
Foreign Affairs / Re: 45 People Killed By Hurricane Sweeping Across US State Of Florida (Photos) by Babbyad: 7:37pm On Sep 29
Wow!.Adopting that in Nigeria would be hard. Major factor is our weather.
santaclaws:

They use wood... 94% of American homes are built with wood. You can punch through a wall in American homes 😂😂
Foreign Affairs / Re: 45 People Killed By Hurricane Sweeping Across US State Of Florida (Photos) by Babbyad: 3:52pm On Sep 29
Really. I thought they use bricks. Dunno.. please enlighten me.
MadPolitician:
The main problem is their wooden houses. Every little breeze, their houses are falling apart. They loath solid structures. Just woods and nails. And they will charge millioms for those wooden coffins that are vulnerable every hurricane season.

Pride, Texans are a proud people. Any small thing they want independence from America.

They are not part of the national grid, and they cannot maintain stable electricity for a week with their poor power supply.

America stole Texas from the Mexicans. Texas forget how they got the land and wants to bite big brother. Natural disaster will never depart from Texas. They spilled too much blood
