Family / Re: Does Engagement Party Alone Make Sense? by babygurl19(f): 7:05pm On Feb 16, 2010
thanks, dont worrry we are the perfect match, we live together in some part of europe and are recognised as couples as we have done something legal but not in the eye of the world,
(but in Gods eye we are married as law is also godly) and that is also important as my mom points out everytime.lol

u know yoruba pple they will always want to celebrate party, the thing is pls forget the moral aspect, is it normal if its the only party done and no white wedding after, my sister says she hasnt heard of it b4 and even my husband says the same but is ready to make me happy and so do anything i want except white cos its not conducive for both of us NOW that i should wait till we can do both. so do u get now.
Family / Does Engagement Party Alone Make Sense? by babygurl19(f): 6:08pm On Feb 16, 2010
hi people,

I would like to ask a question and i would like to be answered by honest and straight people, thanks. My question is that I live with my guy and we are happy and both students but the thing is we are not yet ready for the white wedding due to many reasons. So my mum is so insistent that we do the engagement party even if we want to postpone the white wedding.

the queston is that I have never seen in my life where only engagement party is done alone without the w/w done the next day or week.

Pls house advice or give opinion if this is normal or ridiculous.

PS, no one should say its non moral to be live in lovers, cos u don know me and cant judge me with jus few lines. thanks yall

Health / Re: Can Married Woman Take Pills After Birth? by babygurl19(f): 4:11pm On Aug 02, 2009
@ lisa
all birth control pills have side effects, the patch is very good, and the heart disease is cos they either smoke, drink or maybe these women are fat or above the age of 45, but if you are free from all these, i think the patch is good, when i wear it, i dont even feel anything, the only thing is that my breasts are swollen which i think its a good thing for me . i will never take a drug which wasnt prescribed by a good doctor. so oppose me if you think i am wrong.

also the only thing which will affect all women is that conceiving might not follow immediately after stopping its usage and this effect very in several pple, some might concieve immediately and some maybe after 3 months or more, but never will it cause infertility unless them dey do u. ciao

if i may add, u might use the patch method, its very good, its called evra, no fatness side effect but other little side effect might vary in different women and when you want to concieve jus stop using it. very reliable, ciao

i guess by then when things are better or best, this generation will be long dead.lol

Politics / Re: Nigeria Secures Another $500m Loan World Bank! by babygurl19(f): 10:44am On Jul 31, 2009
@ red devil theres is nothing like free money, these countries that borrow monies must have a colleteral in order for the loan to be granted, its jus simple as a why bank dont lend monies to students compared to the way they lend to big organisations, thats cos theres assurance that the monies will be paid sometime in the future and also with interest.

and ofcourse when nigeria asks for loan, she will apply with the intention of using it for a particular project, so the world bank shouldnt say cos of corruption they wont grant the loan,,all the bank wants to do is business, they dont give out money for free, and about GM and other coys crashing cos of the reccession, i dont really know but i guess they have collected so much debt and yet unable to pay back because those they lent it out to arent paying back, and this is the root cause of reccession, its just a multiple chain reaction, it all burns down to the cause of recession,

for example,if i borrowed from a bank and am unable to pay back and those i lent money also isnt paying me, definetely i cant go back to borrow cos i wont be given and so brokeness will run me down.i hope i am able to make little sense

gotta get back to life
Politics / Re: Nigeria Secures Another $500m Loan World Bank! by babygurl19(f): 9:56am On Jul 31, 2009
well evryone has to borrow, which country doesnt borrow, its part of life but it will only make sense if the borrowed money is used for something tangible,if the country was developing positively, yall wont be here complaining of its borrowings, period
Politics / Re: Nigeria Secures Another $500m Loan World Bank! by babygurl19(f): 8:31am On Jul 31, 2009
pls stop thinking shallow.there is no slavery here, usa is owing china so much and that doesnt make them slaves, theres something we call interest and thats the price of the loan, thats the onlĂ˝ thing nigeria will have to lose cos they still have to pay everything at the end of the day.
Politics / Re: Nigeria Secures Another $500m Loan World Bank! by babygurl19(f): 8:08am On Jul 31, 2009
everyone should pls hush, the debt is nothing compared to usa"s total debt which is running to 11,033,157,578,669.78.that is over 11 trillion dollars, okay u cant compare but hey, you can judge well with this figures above. goodluck in your lamenting. thats what nigerians will ever remain to be
Family / Re: Why Do Nigerian Married Women Discard Their Wedding Rings Too Early? by babygurl19(f): 7:42am On Jul 31, 2009

na your type dey be single mothers for town for no good reason.hissssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

Family / Re: 10,000 Edo Girls Languish In Foreign Prisons by babygurl19(f): 3:51pm On Jul 30, 2009
even if you tell the whole nigeria that you work like a dog to live, every average naigerian will tell you they still wanna go.

people should educate their children and also impact in their kids as they are growing up that going abroad as an illegal person or "aduro" wont change your life instead you suffer more, thats how i was brought up and it helped me loads, just that poverty no go gree make them see road sha, the economy is terrible, i dont blame anybody for wanting to leave the country, its getting really worse and its so bad. only few people are living life averagely,
Career / Re: When Best Do We Invent? During Necessity Or When Economy Is Buoyant: by babygurl19(f): 10:39am On Jul 30, 2009
when africans cant innovate, they must blame somebody, the government, instead of talking why not start by making something

when my husband did his final thesis as an engineer, he made a crane which can function as a lever or lift/elevator, this is done in just a university campus but what do they teach in nigerian universities? only to calculate physics till Jesus comes, nothing practical.

but all these people who have once innovated something, were they helped by the government or it was done in their backyard or garage for years and when something comes up,they announce it to the world

and on the contrary the government too might be of great help, like scientist who find cure to diseases are paid continously to keep doing research, testing it on one mouse or the other till they come up with some sort of treatment that will help cure a particular disease threatening the human race,

all i am saying in a nutshell is that pls stop blaming the government 100 percent on everything that happens.

is it all black nations that are economically bad? and how many black has innovated something, abeg leave the inventions for the white pple jare, lets just support and do what we do best which is rapping and entertainment
