Please I have a qquick question. I never received any e-mail nor is there any message in the correspondence of my immi-account.

But on checking the attached document section I saw the below caption. Since I didn't receive any e-mail from any CO, how do I respond to this?
Thanks

Sharply attach another form 1221 but double check this time. Ensure the form is duly completed, signed and meets required scan resolution. Then upload with the right description.

When you are done, click the "information provided" button on your application home page if this is clickable.

guys please which one is preferable to do ielts or pte? i did ielts in 2015 and had a 6.5...Also is it the general or academic test that one is to take for ielts?

thanks

It's all about knowing the tips and tricks of either exam. Some people say it's easier to nail your 20points with PTE. Though the speaking for PTE can be frustrating, you can ace it only if you can speak in the accent the computer understands.
IELTS on the other hand has its own style. It can be preferred if your thoughts flow better while writing on pen and paper than typing on the keyboard. Also if you prefer speaking to a human being than a robot. It takes longer time from booking the exam to seeing your result - maybe up to 2months, whereas PTE can be booked like 2days before and your result is out in a few days.

Gud day friends, am at the stage of taking the English Language test, my assessing Body(Engineer Australia) specified it must be TOEFL or IELTS and it must be taken b4 submitting any document for assessment.
I want to hear from the gurus in the house, if it must be taken first and also which of the language test is easier. Thanks.

You must take the English test first. It is a requirement for EA.

TOEFL is computer based and IELTS is paper based (Reading & Listening tests are objective questions, Writing test comprise of handwritten essays while the speaking test is a face to face interview with your examiner).

The choice is yours as to which is easier - whichever works for you. You can check for materials online to make your comparison. Goodluck!

There is a section on the immiaccount application page to "update us''

Yes i saw that section and the closely applicable "notification of change in circumstance" link, but i don't know if my case applies to this since i need to state:

@Bnimz, Thanks. it's just as if someone in DIBP read my comment on this forum. i just received a mail requesting that i take the NEWBORN for medical exam

Great! what a relief to know that assessment is truly in progress.

Now i'm a bit worried, since my 'bun in the oven about to pop' is going to delay plans for us.

Please, i need to know how to PAUSE my application. Do i simply send the request to the CO's email?

If you don't have international passport in your maiden name, do the PCC for your current name. Send an email explaining your circumstances that you can only get PCC with a passport. The request is ridiculous though.

No need to notarize a court documents. That is a notarization in itself.

jamson:

Kinda unusual situation there. It is now established that DIBP no dey take change of name play at all. For evidence of change of name I made use of newspaper declaration. An affidavit should do the job as well. It's hard for me to say whether or not you should get PCC for each name especially if the bearer is less than 16 years old. But I know for sure you can get PCC for a name other than that on the passport

Bellong and Jamson, thank you so much for your contribution. We got the affidavits and as for the PCC, we just realized that each PCC must have the name as written on passport AND any other aliases, which implies that one PCC should do for each applicant.

I think @jamson got a PCC for his spouse with change of name documents. I want to believe you can do the same, go to alagbon with evidence of name change, the PCC you have and your international passport.
As per proof, I want to believe you have affidavit to show for the name change, get it notarized and also if you published in the papers you can attach that as evidence.

Thanks a lot incemay. The issue is that i don't have international passports bearing each of these names except for that in the name i now bear after marriage. Alagbon contact is saying we have to provide int. passport in those names (i pray and hope our current passports can cover for this) and that they will issue us PCC for each name.
Do we have to notarize the court affidavit?

Hello House,

I have just been contacted by GSM Brisbane. They asked for:
1. Evidence of change of name for all other names (for me and my husband) mentioned in my application and
2. PCC for these names.

Please i need urgent help with these questions

Can we use court affidavits as evidence for the name change?
Can one PCC serve for up to 3 names of one person?
Also can we get PCC (Nigeria) without an international passport bearing each of the names? These names are not officially in use, but appear on birth certificate and degree result.
