Please if you used ACCA to claim points for 2 or more degrees, when applying post ITA did you put ACCA under Education or you put it under Professional qualification. I believe it should be under Education since WES evaluated it as equivalent to 3 years BSc degree but i need clarity.

Thanks.

Please change it to Associate of the Institute.

wisemen045:
Bsbabe,

Your post from Part 2 thread below refers.

Please, do you know if the individual has reassessed with WES? I just filled out the WES assessment and need to be double sure before payment. In my case, I selected ICAN as the name of the institution while for name of diploma/certificate I indicated ''Associate Chartered Accountant''. Can you help find out if this is the correct way to reflect the credential information.

Calling on Goldenjem and other accountants who have successfully assessed ICAN with WES to help clarify.

copy Cochtrane, GlitteringStar

Thanks.

''Good morning everyone. Just to update you on the individual that got an unfavourable evaluation on her ICAN which I posted sometime ago. Apparently, she has found out the reason why the evelaution came out unrecognised. When she contacted WES, she was told she was evaluated as someone who earned a ‘Certificate of Membership from ICAN’ and not as an ‘Associate of the Institute’. She says that’s probably because she selected “ICAN” and not “Associate of the Institute” when registering with WES. So Wes wrote ICAN to confirm Certificate is genuine and evaluated as certificate of membership. Now she’s starting another one, she says she now sees that one can select “Associate of the Institute” and that’s what she’s doing this time.

[i]This is just to guide other people evaluating ICAN. She is 2013 if I remember correctly and she states she has met a 2010 person with positive evaluation. So maybe it’s not the year? I don’t know. Please note that I do not have ICAN and have no further information or insights on this. I just thought to report what I was told in case it helps someone.''

I think Children's Practice. But not sure. You could obtain the numbers of these panel physicians on CIC website and call to confirm if they open on weekends.

1) Please can anyone in the house that has evaluated Bsc with WES recently help him with the first question. I cant really remember.

2) Pease type Accounting Technician Certificate as the name of the credential which is the same name you would see on your AAT certificate (please take a look at it to confirm). ICAN AAT is regarded as a Higher Education and is being evaluated as a one year College Level Certificate.

Talkingboy:

Thanks Sir .

I have spoken with him and he has explained the process. Thanks once more.

However Sir , I am having issues with WES , and one needs to be careful so as not to waste money. I saw someone here narrating her friend's ordeal.

1) I schooled in 9ja , but i cannot see my course on d drop down , I only saw Diploma for the Course , so I had to type it manually , Is that fine ?....

is university higher education or professional higher education ?

2) When I chose ICAN , the drop down only brought Associate of the institute, I only have AAT at d moment. Do I need to type Associate Accounting Technician manually or I put Associate of d institute ? ?

is ICAN AAT higher education or professional higher education ?

Please kindly help me with the aforementioned b4 I make payment.

Thank You sir.

Please follow the link and read up on requirements for transcript from ICAN.

http://icanig.org/ican/article.php?id=27

Please call Mr. O. Adefehinti on +2348023641045 if you need further clarification. Got the number from ICAN website. He is in charge of AAT transcript .

Talkingboy:

God will bless u abundantly sir.

probably the last question , How do we get our AAT evaluation done by ICAN ?

do we send a mail or what , how much do they charge ?
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by Bambam4you: 2:06pm On Nov 28, 2017
1) Yes, Bsc + AAT is the same as Bsc + AAT + ACA.

For the avoidance of doubt, Bsc + AAT will get you the 32 points for Two or more degress/diploma. With Bsc + AAT + ACA you would still get the same 32 points for Two or more degress/diplom.a

2) No. No extra fee. It is the same fee.

3) AAT is not there but ICAN is there. ICAN is the institute that conducts AAT, so you choose ICAN.

Talkingboy:

Thanks Sir. God bless you.

I have few questions,

1) In the case of Canada EE entry , Is Bsc + AAT the same as Bsc + AAT + ACA ? I mean , Are they all equal to Two or more degress/diploma ?

2) Will you have to pay another fee to WES for AAt evaluation ?

3) AAT is not on there website . Do we have to type it manually or what ?

Thanks sir.

WES evaluated my ATS as college degree and ACA as BSc. which qualifies for 2 more degrees and adds to crs score.

Please use WES to evaluate your bsc and AAT. IQAS doesnt evaluate professional qualifications. The procedure is the same. Go to wes canada website. register for evaluation and include the names of the credentials you want to evaluate. use hello fax to send your certificate for both bsc and AAT and follow up with your institutions to send transcript to WES. That's all.

Talkingboy:

Sir please for God's sake sir , please kindly help me answer y question pls.

Hello Sir. Please I need your urgent response .
Please , Tell me on how to evaluate Bsc and AAT jointly .

I need d info urgently pls.

Thank u sir and God bless u as u provide answer.

Yes you are right. ICAN is the body that conducts both ACA and ATS and ATS is for non-accountants and every beginner. Basically to write ATS, all you need is your first school leaving cert (WAEC).

elfmann:
Is ICAN a body that conducts ACA and ATS? ATS is for non-accountant entry stage right?
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by Bambam4you: 11:51am On Nov 23, 2017
Hmmmm... I can't say oo. But someone here mentioned that maybe exemptions could have affected the evaluations. I had exemption in only one paper and I wrote all three stages of the professional level (that was when it was PE 1,2 and 3).

cochtrane:

Can you guess at why the ACA was positively evaluated? We've had several cases here of negative evaluation. Perhaps you did something de different?
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by Bambam4you: 11:41am On Nov 23, 2017
Yes you are right. the ATS credential is what what the college level certificate while the ACA got 3 years equivalent and BSc got 4 years equivalent.

cochtrane:

Nice.
I guess the ATS is what got the college-level certificate, right?

Yet, we have learned here that some ACA credentials have not been positively evaluated. And this is even from 2010? Super confusing!
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by Bambam4you: 11:26am On Nov 23, 2017
This is to help people with clarity on WES evaulation of ICAN ACA and ATS. I got my WES eca report today and here is the summary:

CANADIAN EQUIVALENCY SUMMARY
Completion of a college-level certificate (one year), bachelor's degree
(three years), and bachelor's degree (four years)

I evaluated my BSc, ATS and ACA credentials. The year for the ICAN ACA credential is 2010 which is old syllabus by the way.

I hope this helps.

Well. If i didn't tip I wouldn't have know it was ready that soon. I probably would have checked back two weeks after. My colleague went through the same process without tipping and he checked back and picked his passport 2 weeks later.

You would not believe it is actually pretty straightforward until you try it. But if you have the extra 17k to play with, you can give immigration officer 35k to process for you.

Truth don dey comot.

Yes exactly. When i went to do the biometrics and I informed them that I was my own processing officer, I was directed to an officer that guided me on the tables to take my file to before biometrics and then afterwards I went for biometrics which took like 3 hours waiting time to do. Tipped the officer with 2k and he called me 5 days after that the passport was ready.

Thanks... so what you did was to follow the instruction on the website and went to do the biometrics and five days after you got the passport?

Please how long did it take you to do the biometrics at their office with no contact?

Please no vex on top of these my plenty questions

Thanks again

Wow. Different people with different experience. Mine was hitch free however. I even applied for My self (change of name) and mum (renewal) and I didnt have any problem whatsoever.

Doesn't work. You still have to go there and settle them. That's how I lost 20k for myself and older son. They said I paid into Abuja account while Abuja said I paid into Lagos account. No one agreed to help me.
Ikoyi passport office but I belive it can be done by self at any other passport office. Just apply and pay online and make sure you go to the passport office with all the required document which is clearly started before payment is made. They would ask you at the passport office who your processing officer is and you would tell them yourself and they would guide you accordingly. I captured the day I went and they called me 5 days later that my passport was ready.

elfmann:

Which passport office?

That depends on the arrangement you make with the people in the computer room. One of them actually volunteered to come saturdays if we could handle her TP.
