TV/Movies / Re: When Last Did You Watch A Local TV Station? by bana91(m): 1:35pm On Apr 12, 2022
Damn, it’s been so long.
I’m not sure I’ve made it to the front page before so let me use this opportunity to express what I’ve been feeling and don’t have a medium to express all these while. I’m talking bout the tribal war here on nairaland, it saddens me whenever i see things like ‘skull miner’ ‘Igbos’ or the likes here on nairaland but what saddens me the most is people liking this tribal insult whenever someone comments such, something we ought to ignore. How do we move forward as a country when all we do to each other is to insult each other at the slightest chance. I know this write up won’t stop it but let’s stop encouraging post/comments about how a tribe is better than the other, we are all Nigerians and if we want a better Nigeria we have to put our differences aside. Please

Crime / Re: Lagos Taskforce Arrests 71 Miscreants, Impounds 227 Bikes by bana91(m): 7:28am On Jul 06, 2021
Nigeria is a bleeped up place to live, i witnessed one of the said raid and i weep for my dear country, the taskforce themselves are the real miscreant here. I kid you not, these people came with all sort of weapon just to forcefully take some people livelihood, injuring them in the process and the crazy part is, most of the bikes they took are parked in the designated park that they ought to be,believe Nigeria police or any other forces at your own peril. If u still have any doubt about this, i can look for picture evidence to show you how cruel these people operated

Why do we find it hard to support each other my Naija people. What does it take to click the link, get the info and then back to nairaland.
The problem is not the click, the problem is if the click is worth it, but from experience, it’s never worth it.

you are absolutely right!!!

thats where you are wrong... it IS ridiculous because they were foolish enough NOT to secure their sextape properly. now everybody can have a peep at their foolishness, including their parents who were paying dearly for these clowns education (not knowing it was P0rn celebrities these kids were seeking to become).

imagine these parents now, going to the market, and their neighbor would be asking them: no be your daughter that became the Nigerian Mia Khalifa from Babcock uni?!
Where they got it wrong is by not securing their sextape but we shouldn’t crucify them for doing what me and you does every now and then which is the reason for the write up, I’m urging us to pity victims of leak, and not crucify them like they commited murder and must be hanged.

MrBrownJay1:

bro, in life you have to be honest with your own damn self.... whether its your sista or the neighbor's daughter, that babe is a shameful H0E and the whole world (including her parents/family) can now confirm that. you can say what you want about how/why/when/who released the damn tape, it does not matter. these fools made the tape and what is happening is the direct consequences of their foolish actions.
They made the tape for themselves, not for anyone else, they are lovers and they can do whatever style they want to and nobody holy it’s what we all do, there is nothing special in what they did, you are just finding it ridiculous because it was leaked.
lalasticlala help us move it to a wider audience let’s hear more contributions.

MrBrownJay1:

come on....this babe caused all the detriment in her own life when she decided to become a p0rnstar.... SHE should be blamed for what happened, and nobody else. its called CONSEQUENCES OF YOUR FOOLISH ACTIONS

the crazy thing would be to expect people NOT to repost such funny video... and think as if they were "innocent" people.

btw if she was my sister, i would tell her:"biatch you got exactly what you deserve for being a hoe"
Consequences of what actions? Straffing her boyfriend and they decided to record it which should have been between them, but I don’t need to convince you much though, you that can call your sister ‘biatch’ what more of a stranger.

Education / What We Should Think When We See The Babcock’s Girl Video by bana91(m): 3:31pm On Nov 21, 2019
You all saw the Babcock’s girl video, you probably laughed about it and reposted it, I’m not saying what you did is right or wrong by reposting or laughing at it but would you do the same if the girl was your sister or daughter. Nobody holy pass, we all play with the camera sometimes while at it, and u’ve probably given or received head so many times, so why crucify someone of the things we do every now and then, causing a detriment to her life, please I urge us to have a rethink about posting or laughing at a leak, put yourself in her shoes and feel what she is going through and what she would go through all her life.

Good decision by her.

Because the Church is a city of refuge.
Just stepping into that church cleaned her of all her guilt.

But the accident victims should have also been taken into the church so the pastor can lay hands on them and heal their injuries.

NwaAmaikpe, please am so sorry for what happened, your people no gree leave me. Please forgive my ignorance.

Politics / Is This The Way Our So Called Nigeria, Honour Her Heroes by bana91(m): 2:52pm On Dec 13, 2016
A friend of mine posted this on facebook and I feel I should share it, because it baffles me that our dear country Nigeria treat her heroes this way he wrote thus
'These are pictures of the mother of one of Super Eagles' all time best players, Rashidi Yekini. She's selling soft drinks and pure water at Ijagbo, a town in Kwara State. All Yekini left was a house in Ibadan and another in Ijagbo. If you remember, he was diagnosed of having issues of depression and giving away all his properties to strangers just before his demise. This woman claims she's not healthy and is actually struggling to keep body and soul together. Rashidi Yekini is Nigeria's all time top scorer with 37 goals and represented the team from 1983 to 1998.
If this is how Nigeria treats her legends' family after their demise, then, why serve with love, strength and faith when the country won't give us a dose of that? Respect they say is reciprocal. For a player that represented the super Eagles for 15 years, much more is expected when he's gone. I remember a kongi ball was placed on his head during his burial and this is just one of many.
Samuel Okwaraji's family members especially the old woman he left behind keeps complaining bitterly. This was a man that travelled with his personal money from his base in Belgium to Nigeria for matches. He died during the course of a game in 1989 in Lagos against Angola and except for Fashola giving his family 500k when he was Governor of Lagos State, I doubt if nothing has ever been done. Sardonic!
Stephen Keshi is dead and the NFF has failed to fulfill any of their promises including his burial arrangements. Luckily, he has grown kids who are old enough to look after themselves and their parents' investments after their demise. The Big Boss represented Nigeria from 1980 to 1994 as a player when he won two African Cup of Nations titles and as a coach in 2013 where he won the same title as a coach. He equalled Nigeria's best ever finish in the World Cup in 2014 and his demise hasn't brought with it, any glorified respect. Nigeria! Hmmm!
Many internationals are dead! Many careers are gone! I remember Vera Okolo; a fast, talented, young Super Falcon winger who got injured in a competition. All she needed was a surgery but her country won't give her one. That was the end of her career.
Many internationals are dead and are forgotten totally with those they left behind not looked after. If Nigeria owes me a penny, I will collect it, not after what I've seen with the treatment of pensioners!
The Super Falcons have a right to stand strong and ask for their demands. They worked for it and must be paid and respected. The Super Eagles made sure their bonuses were paid before playing against France at the World Cup. These women can do same. Don't leave that hotel nor drop the trophy and continue to disgrace Nigeria openly till something changes!'
