If you vote Obi. Tinubu will win.

My own is: Dont come here and cry. If you survived Bihari. You should be more calculating and strategic. Wishful thinking will not help you.

Your only way out is to vote Atiku.

Save this post.

Emotional game won't work this time around. We will happily support Obi in mass and by God's grace, he will win.

All these should have been avoided if this greedy man settled that guy he brought from Nigeria to the UK for a kidney transplant.

For those that don't know the full story.
Ike Ekweremmadu's daughter was ill and needed a kidney transplant, Ekweremmadu contacted the young frustrated guy who has been living in anguish in Nigeria and dreaming and praying for God to answer his prayer for him to travel and base in the Uk.

The agreement was that after the kidney transplant, Ike Ekweremmadu would settle him with a huge amount of money and set him up in the Uk and he won't return to Nigeria to continue suffering because he wouldn't be suffering with one kidney.

Now, on getting to the hospital in the Uk, they discovered that the boy's kidney didn't match with Ike Ekweremmadu's daughter's own, and Ekweremmadu told the guy to prepare and return to Nigeria since his kidney didn't match that of his daughter.
Remember, the guy's prayer had always been to have the opportunity to travel and live in the UK, so as expected, he wasn't ready to go back to Nigeria.

Ekweremadu went ahead and booked a flight ticket for the guy and told him that his flight back to Nigeria would be in few days, that was when the boy decided to lie to the doctor that he was underage and was lured to the UK for kidney harvest.
The doctor now called the police and Ekweremmadu was arrested.

All these would have been avoided if he still went ahead to settle the guy despite the fact that his kidney didn't match with his daughter's own

Politics / Re: Naira Redesign: 3 Governors Under Our Radar Over Stashed Cash – EFCC Chair by Basalt(m): 2:21pm On Nov 04, 2022
SmartPolician:

Thank you. However, it affects everyone who lives in Nigeria, including those who earn in foreign currency.

Here's the thing. If you earn foreign currency, you CANNOT spend it in Nigeria. This means you have to change it naira to spend it.

Now, because Nigeria runs an import-dependent economy, when Nigeria depreciates against the dollar, it affects almost everything.

This means that something you bought #500 may become #600 next week, meaning that everyone in Nigeria is affected.

Yeah, but for someone who earns in dollars, even if the prices of goods increase, the value of his money increases too.

For instance, if a man earns $2000 monthly when the price of a bag of rice was #10,000 and dollar was #300.
he would easily afford 60 bags of rice 60 x #10000 = #600,000

If the naira falls and Dollar rate becomes #900 instead of #300 it used to be, the man would still afford 60 bags of rice even if one bag of rice rises to #30,000 from #10,000.

That is why Naira value doesn't affect those earning in hard currencies. Infact they even gain sometimes because some goods don't react so fast with currency value depreciation

Someone raised a valid point. Foreign currency in hard cash should be banned in Nigeria. Anyone found in possession of it should be arrested because it's not a legal tender.

If someone wants to transact with BCD, it should be through bank transfers. Banks should facilitate interoperability among dorm account holders in Nigeria.

Very nice suggestion.

Though the increase of dollar/Euro does not affect me by any means because I earn in Euro, but I will really be happy if this madness is corrected because it makes prices of goods to increase for poor Nigerians and as a result they indulge in criminal activities which poses a risk to the society (this is where I am a bit affected ).

They did when they came out newly. As a one-time cashier in bank, I came across a lot of 1000k counterfeits. However, they cannot do that now because they know that people can easily differentiate the real note from the fake ones.

The moment the new naira notes are released, they will flood the market with their counterfeits. That's how they successfully operate.

This is really so bad cry

I think you need to read my earlier thread which I created few months I left Nigeria.
But to save you the stress.

1. The aim is not to develope another country better than yours, but to make money there and invest in your poor country so that when you retire, you return back and enjoy your investment.
2. Not everbody is trained and skillful in business, and with the situation of the country now, your business can easily crumple but you won't understand what I am saying because you are probably not into business.
3. I didn't have money before I travelled, I was only teaching Maths and Physics in a private secondary school and earning peanuts with alot of stress.

Leaving Nigeria for Germany is something I will do over and over again if I have the same opportunity.

Please don't deceive yourself, Nigeria of yesterday is different from Nigeria of today. Majority of the successful elder state men/women and big men/women running the shot in the country all studied abroad. People travel abroad to learn new things, you can't stay in one place and see things differently especially a situation in the country where a lot of people are comfortable with the idea that the work of government is to build roads and bridges. You think it's easy to start up a business in the country presently? Most successful and creative people in the country were once living abroad and they brought home their experiences from developed countries and now they are enjoying. For example Nairamally studied abroad he has a lot of contacts he made which I believe has helped him in he's musical career same with Don jazzy etc and including bloggers, technocrats etc. I use God beg you, if you have the resources to send your kids abroad please do. The nonsense style of political administration in the country does it encourage developmental growth?

Our educational system is not rotten. It is the best in the world. They are brainwashing you. When I got to America I found out people earning $150,000 can't even pay college tuition for their children. Nigeria has the cheapest and best education

Imagine paying 10million naira for tuition, not even adding the money for tickets for you, your spouse and kids and 10 years you have never seen that amount in your account working abroad. Any 10million naira investment you make today in Nigeria will give you a profit of 50,000naira daily after all expenses has been taken out. Nigerians really need to start thinking

Nigerians paying between £11,000 to £15,000 to study in the UK are wasting their money. This new day slavery has to stop. When they get to the UK. they find out that 90% of Britons can't even afford to pay out of their pocket. UK. citizens access loans to be able to study. If you tell white UK. citizens to pay cash for their education over 90% of them will become illiterates because they don't have the money. Their parents too are unable to raise such amount for school. They are unable to raise the outrageous amount Nigerians happily pay to study there.

After Nigerians complete their study there the only jobs available to them are menial jobs which barely pay the bills. What is even more alarming now is the the UK. government now allows you to bring your spouse and kids during the duration of your study. Your spouse will work round the clock to pay the bills while you are busy studying. This is to further drain the little amount you work and make sure you don't send money home. Their degrees are worthless. Many Nigerians who studied in UK and later found themselves in Canada and America are doing odd jobs.

Nigeria has the best schools in the world. A graduate in Uniben can be compared to an Oxford graduate if not better but we have been programed to hate our own. After studying in the UK. you find out nothing has change and you didn't receive any new knowledge as their study is below par. That's why most Nigerians top their classes abroad.

I would advise Nigerians to instead use the amount you intend to pay to a UK. school to set up and business and within the next 7 years you will become the new Dangote instead of being stucked in Canada or America doing odd jobs

Well, I don't know about the UK.
But this is the kind of shitty article that was discouraging me from traveling out of Nigeria until I came back to my senses.
This year is the third year I left Nigeria for my studies in Germany and I have already roofed and plastered my duplex in Nigeria by the grace of God.
Now, the question is could I have done that if I kept wasting my time earning peanuts in Nigeria?

I am even tired of advising people to go outside and study, don't go.
Remain in Nigeria and keep earning peanuts hoping to be imaginary Dangote someday grin

czarr:
Gbam!

I have gone through the list and discovered that I share both trait.

The "bad boy" traits which I don't have
1. Sexually aggressive:
I am not sexually aggressive. Though I no dey too knack because I'm a very busy person and doesn't even have a girlfriend, but whenever I knack, I always make sure we both enjoy it.

2. Apologetic:
Another trait of the so called bad boy which I don't have is not being apologetic. I always apologize when I think I am wrong. I lose nothing apologizing. It doesn't make me a weakling or less of a man.

3. Don't need approval.
Because I am in a country where law is highly respected, I always seek direct or indirect approval before doing anything sensitive to avoid rotting in jail.

Before I kiss or even touch someone's @ss or breasts, I must directly or indirectly get approval and even be sure that the girl has reached puberty age to avoid going to jail for sexual assault.
Call it simp traits, I will gladly accept because
here in Germany, sexual offenses are really very serious and you could face deportation because of that.
There was a case where a guy was sued because the girl claimed that he slept with her when she was drunk.
They met in a club, drank and went home together and the guy being the normal bad guy took advantage of the situation and had sex with her, the girl woke up in the morning and called the police.
So when you live in a civilized country, you must always seek direct or indirect approval
