omobusola: Naija babes, una go soon learn the hard way if u people dont stop all dis vanity, how do u explain wen a girl wears hair of 100k and she is still flying okada and keke napep, u can't even afford to buy a car, or u dey wear that kain hair and your family background is dirt-poor, seriously seriously, if there is anything I hate is when a babe is forming and her life style is in total contrast with her family background. Dear sisters this fake life won't carry us anywhere.

Abi o! I tire.
Romance / Re: When You Don't Like Your Spouse's Company/friends by base11(f): 8:52pm On May 21, 2012
Amaks Tonia: I have a friend who has a very good guy, God fearing, honest and all but he does not seem to be on the same level with her. The types of friends he hangs with are introverts, those that don't know what's happening or fashion and can't really dress well and some what lack experience in dealing with girls. I don't know what else to advise her so i resorted to getting more advice here.

But seriously, i don't mean to be rude at all, but is this a topic for discussion at all. My advice is she should dump the guy and go for another guy that has fashion conscious friends, ones who would treat her like shit and maybe she'd appreciate this guy she is with more. We can only hope that by then it wnt be late for her to get back. SMH!!!

runsbabe: Recently, I put up this topic on my blog:

Source: Peruvian Vs Brazilian Weaves(www.runsbabe.com)

So dear NLanders, what do you think? Is Brazilian hair better than Peruvian hair? I know I ran away from the seller when I heard the price but I am seriously considering getting any of the two. Please help. I look forward to your responses.

@OP, do you want to know the truth? Both the brazilian and peruvian are both chinese hair processed for texture. Some suppliers might use indian hair to get any of the said origins. That's is the reason why you could not tell the difference. One supplier's peruvian hair might be silkier than the brazilian, while another supplier's would be different.
All 'em malaysian, mongolian, peruvian, brazilian etc are either indian or chinese hair. These are the only people that donate or sell their hair for money. India- donate, China-sell, with the exception of russians and some borders of asia where caucasian like hair is gotten which is rare.
But then again most africans prefer chinese hair because its most close to our hair texture. Indian is very silky and shiny even without any products on it which doesnt blend well most of the time but its oh so beautiful. Indian/chinese hair can be made to mimic the above origins. It's either they are processed to mimic the above origins or the hairs are sorted out according to their textures i.e how they look and feel i.e silky, coarse, thin, thick, shiny etc and given the names like malaysian, peruvian etc.
This all i can say for now, i'm tired of typing.

virgos are not really romantic but are pratical pple. very considerate and responsible. though they are analytical and perfectionist

Virgos are not romantic, they try to be but dont just get it, they are difficult to please, very practical everything must be according. They are very intelligent anyways, are serious in their relationships, very neat pple etc

CyberG: Funny that people did not even read the story in less than 5 minutes! Almost everyone associated with Nigeria is growing dumber and mentally lazier, what is hard in reading just a few paragraphs of prose? The poster clearly indicated "Umari Ayim" as the writer, yet people are complaining about the poster!? I hope you can see there is talent from every part of Nigeria!

It's amazing how literature has declined amongst this generation. Some people cant even pen down a sentence without grammatical errors. It's most appalling. The prose was a good read.

udogati:

This, my friend, is exactly the kind of talk that gets Nigerian men into trouble. It is wrong to assume that women in foreign countries are waiting/ever-willing to spread wide their legs (forgive my crude language) to any Nigerian man. And isn't it also wrong for you to assume that no Nigerian man is capable of despicable acts of sexual harassment? If we ever want to be respected, we must first learn to respect others first, men or women.

Very well spoken.
Fashion / Re: Zara, H&M : In Lagos ?! by base11(f): 9:52am On Mar 28, 2012
Exactly that is what most people dont know. You cannot compare the profit you'll get with H and M compared to Zara, Nigerians love cheap things and expensive as well. As we all know we have more of the middle class and the poor in the land. Most of those shops at the palms are always empty and even when u see pple they are just window shopping. If those clothes were cheap, people would buy them as soon as they get on the wrack. Just my two cents.

OP, i understand what you are going through because i have gone through it, i look tired, aged, with dark eye circles and still have to go to work. My brain is thinking all the time. Try this: Before going to bed, take a glass of warm milk and put your phones on silent. Shikena. You would thank me.
Fashion / Re: How Good Are Dr Sandra's(perfect Herbals) Products? by base11(f): 11:07am On Dec 11, 2011
smiley I apologise for the assumption. I actually thought that the 'San' in your name could be short for Sandra. That's the problem with her products, the black knuckles and pimples. With the various complaints she has been getting from people she should do something about it. My knuckles are yet to clear and i am yet to fork out cash for their knuckle cream cos i cant go thru the stress. One thing is for sure her products are herbal and they work not withstanding the side effects. But to me it's not worth it.

Fashion / Re: How Good Are Dr Sandra's(perfect Herbals) Products? by base11(f): 3:32pm On Nov 29, 2011
Anyways i would not recommend Perfect Herbals, as i have used it twice, first was the whitenizer i have forgotten the name the one of 8,250. It worked in whitening, not lightening, whitening me. Gave me discolourations, dark knuckles etc, within three weeks and acne on my face and back to go along with it. Then some months later i tried the amazing toner, the one of 5,5k cos i had gone dark due to sun exposure. It gave me acne as well and dark knuckles, lightened my face but not so much my body. But it was ok as i didnt get discolorations like the former. Well point is, i do not believe the creams contain steriods, i do believe the herbal concentrates are very strong, they are not concentrated in the right formula hence the side effect. If it had hydroquinone, my skin would detect it, if it had steriods from the smell i would have headaches, so i know. It works but the side effects are not worth it. Trust me, same thing happened to my sister, hers was worse cos she never has acne. I spoke to one of the attendants there, she told me people have made the same complaints. She didnt even deny it. Well, it might work for you, just thought to give you my experience.

Phones / Re: Airtel's Fraudulent Plans by base11(f): 12:33am On Nov 11, 2011
You guys should have been familiar with airtel by now. If they are not stealing your credit, they are taking 1MB from your 10MB when you subscribe, the customer service people have also been trained to lie and give false records when they tell you they are checking your records on their screen. Its an Indian company and trust me the Indians are known to be cunning wherever they are in the world especially in business. That is why they are hardly given jobs in Nigeria. I really wonder how long they would continue like this.
Fashion / Re: Ladies Which Hair Cream, Comb/brush Should I Use For My Brazillian Hair Please? by base11(f): 2:32pm On Oct 28, 2011
I'll advice you don't use serum or any type of cream. Well if you must use a serum, il advice you get fantasia, the one with the white cover, its called Fantasia IC Hair Polisher, its about a thousand naira. Do not get the green one which is Olive Oil Glossing polisher as i suspect it has alcohol in it. I have both so i should know, and the green gives this loud faux shine. Use serum once in a week, dont be tempted to use it everyday, once in a week is the best, trust me all them human hair do not like this products.
The best product to use is a liquid leave in conditioner, or get dark and lovely leave in conditioner, wet hair and apply just about two pea size, comb hair and you are good to go. But the liquid is the best if you can get it. You could spray it every three days, comb your hair, let it air dry and you are good.
For combs, get a big tooth comb, those big brown ones, and comb hair from tip to root never the other way as your hair wld shed and get split ends.
Remember to wash hair every week, with a very good shampoo, condition and apply leave in and let it air dry. This brings your hair back to the state you bought it. Beautiful lovely and bouncy.
If your brazilian hair is curly, never comb it dry, or you cause frizz. Wet it a little with your leave in and comb with your big tooth comb, when hair id dried you have beautiful defined curls.
If you follow this tips and your brazilian hair is virgin remy(original) your hair would last you a long long time even more than 5 years.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Moammar Gadhafi Is Truly Dead. Proof In 3 Gruesome Videos by base11(f): 11:33pm On Oct 20, 2011
People are totally funny. Do you know more about the suffering of the Libyans than them. When Abacha died wasnt there rejoicing in Nigeria? This is someone who got merceneries to eliminate his own people, he paid them to wipe them all. An act that angered the world, all because he wanted to hold on to power. These powers that be must know there is a limit to human endurance. Before talking trash about his death, why don't you google and read about the true story about Gadhafi's rule and the impact it had on his people and the world. Unfortunately for them anyways worse Gadhafis might come out of this.
ABSOLUTE POWER CORRUPTS.
