Business / Export Skill Acquisition And Mentoring Programme (esamp) For Nigerian Youths by bayemibo: 8:08pm On Jun 02, 2013
Dear Readers,
The Management of 3T Impex Consulting Limited hereby introduce our Export Skill Acquisition and Mentoring Programme (ESAMP) to individual/organization (Politicians, government, NGO, philanthropist etc) who are looking for sustainable youth empowerment programmes to sponsor in their communities, local governments, states and geo-political zones.

ESAMP is designed to give the Nigerian graduates hands on training in the area of non-oil export. This training will enable them acquire the skills that are necessary for them to export different items (like food items, solid minerals and Agricultural commodities) from Nigeria and thereby earn foreign exchange and at the same time boost our foreign reserve.

This programme goes beyond the training (which includes export and entrepreneurship training) for 3weeks in the sense that, it includes aggregating them into groups of cooperatives after the training. The sponsor then provides funds for each of the cooperatives and with this we can then take them through an Export Mentoring programme. The mentoring will involve hand holding them through the export processes (which include export planning, getting buyers abroad, sourcing good quality products, export documentation and port logistics) during their first sets of shipments till they can stand on their own and thereby becomes employers of labour.

This programme is unique and very laudable in the sense that it will expose the trainees to the potentials of the natural resources in the different geo-political zones of Nigeria, create entrepreneurs from among them and thus make them to become employers of labour in the nearest future. This will consequently increase employment opportunities and thus reduce poverty in the nation.

The ESAMP has been logically and systematically divided into five phases namely: Export Training, Aggregation into Cooperatives, Export Planning, Export Financing and Export Mentoring. The first three phases of this programme will take place in a camp while the remaining phases will take in their various locations upon receipt of funds from the sponsor.

The training will be done in batches depending on the number of people the financier intends to sponsor. Interested candidate will be asked to submit business plan on exportation of any Nigeria product or commodity. The candidates with the best 200 business plan will then undergo the training phase of the programme.

At the end of the training, the candidates will be allowed form 10 cooperatives of 20 members each. Each Cooperative will be given N30Million as a grant to commence their export businesses and share the proceeds. This fund will be treated as a convertible loan from federal which will be converted to grant if they perform well and make significant progress in their export operations and or withdrawn from them if the funds are mismanaged by the group.

The ESAMP has numerous benefits and this include Building a self –sustaining system to empower the Youths and grow their SME export businesses. It will cause increase in demand for both Agric commodities and solid minerals and thereby create more Job for the farmers and miners and this will in turn reduce poverty among the good people and boost the economy. This initiative will create a legacy for which all the good people of the Nigeria will remember and be forever grateful to the sponsor.

We are willing to sell the copyright of this idea to any individual/organization (Politicians, government, NGO, philanthropist etc) who would like own the idea and implement by themselves or with our support and input. (08036522946, info@3timpex.com)

Business / Export Promotion In Tertiary Institutions (the Epiti Project) In Nigeria by bayemibo: 8:00pm On Jun 02, 2013
Dear readers,
We will like to intimate you with the details of our new initiative to promote export in Nigeria right from the Citadel of learning. This is aimed at creating jobs, reducing unemployment and consequently poverty in Nigeria. We will appreciate if you can be part of this and we will also like to say that No amount is too small.

As part of our objective to promote export business in Nigeria, 3T Impex is launching a strategic programme to grow an export oriented generation by educating and exposing the youth in tertiary institutions all over Nigeria to relevant export business information. This is aimed at sensitizing them on the immense opportunities that abounds in the non-oil export sector of the economy and how they can benefit profitably from it as a student (during their holidays) and as a young graduate. This will consequently reduce the unemployment rate in the country and help create young, skillful, vibrant and well equipped export trade entrepreneurs. This initiative is aimed at creating more Jobs (by self employed young graduate in export business), thus reducing poverty and consequently improving our economy via the growth of GDP that would result from massive exportation.

The EPITI Project
To achieve this feat, we have come up with a programme called Export Promotion In Tertiary Institutions (The EPITI Project). To execute this project, we have put together a product called the ABC of Export. This CD contains 2hours of disseminating export information in mp3 format which is divided into 12tracks on an Audio CD. We therefore need sponsorship of the production, packaging, campus launch through free export seminars and the distribution of the product during the seminar.

The EPITI Project will be launched in at least one major campus in each of the 36 states of the federation including Federal Capital Territory. Our target is to reach at least 10,000 students in each of the states in the federation. Our estimation of the total cost per ABC of Export audio CD to be distributed on these campuses during the seminar is NGN200 (Two hundred Naira only). This covers the cost of production, packaging, campus publicity and product launch through free export seminars and the distribution of each of the CDs. Altogether, we intend to produce and distribute a total of 400,000 copies of this product for free.

We are therefore soliciting for partnership with your organization to sponsor this project in part or in whole as part of the organization’s contribution to the growth of the Nigerian GDP through exportation, sustainable employment generation and drastic reduction in the poverty level across the country.
Area of Sponsorship
The Sponsorship of The EPITI Project has been segmented to enable each organization sponsor different aspects of the project based on their area of interest, region and capital. A sponsor can therefore limit its sponsorship to:
1. A particular state
2. A particular geopolitical zone
3. A particular amount
4. A particular number copies of the CDs
5. A particular area of the logistics (Production, packaging, publicity, transport etc)
Depending on the area of interest of each sponsor, the breakdown of all the cost implications will be made available to each partner in this project upon request.

Benefit to the Sponsor
Considering the fact that this project is going to cover every state in this country with a target of about 10,000 students in each state, the products and services of each sponsor will be given immense publicity through:
1. Their logo which will be printed on the CD pack/sleeve
2. Distribution of their handbills and fliers on all the campuses
3. A short presentation of their products and services before the students during the free seminar.

We are willing to sell the copyright of this idea to any individual/organization (Politicians, government, NGO, philanthropist etc) who would like own the idea and implement by themselves or with our support and input. (08036522946, info@3timpex.com)

Politics / Political Appointment Scam- Beware! by bayemibo: 2:42pm On Oct 13, 2011
It all started yesterday Wednesday October 12, 2011. I got an sms sent from the internet with the sender ID as Presidency to request for my CV to be sent to osgf_press@presidency-gov-ng.com.

I sent my CV to them and they responded via SMS from the internet with the sender as OSGF-FGN that I should call one senator Senator Tafida K. Hassan on 07032976312 to get further directives. I called the so called senator and he said I will get a mail containing a form which I am supposed to fill, attach my passport and send it to them. I later got a mail from draishaaudu@yahoo.com with the form. I filled it (but left security clearance ref number 1 and 2 and annual income section blank ) and attach my passport to the right hand corner as instructed and sent it to committee.executive@presidency-nig.info.

They contacted me again this morning via sms from the internet with the sender as OSGF-FGN that I should call Senator Tafida K. Hassan for more directives. I called him and he said that I need to pay the sum of N105,000.00 into the account details below to get my security clearance ref number 1 and 2 (costing NGN45,000.00 each and totaling NGN90,000.00) and a tip of NGN15,000.00 for the SSS man that is to help me process it.

When I heard of SSS involvement, I decided to call a friend working with SSS lagos in order to confirm the authenticity only to discover that it has been a common trend. I was told the scammers often ask for N500,000.00 but because I left the annual income section on the form blank they lower my mugu fee but I did not fall for them.

The account details provided is as follows:

Business / Why Nigeria Export Agencies Should Be Supervised By Mr. President by bayemibo: 10:40am On Sep 02, 2011
Nigeria is a nation with so great a potential to be the best economy in the world. Despite all her potentials, the people are daily suffering among plenty simply because we (both the government and the people) have not given the desired attention to sectors of the economy that will enable the populace create sustainable wealth. Many articles, publications and seminars/workshop have been organized to talk about this problem but very little has been done on the solutions. The few solutions proffered are not followed to the letter simply because the executives and MDAs in charge are not doing their jobs with singleness of purpose and desperation to make it succeed. However, with the political will of the presidency thrown behind this sector, we can still make a headway against all odds.

It’s no more news that we have experienced economic boom at one time in the history of our country, thanks to the export of Agricultural commodities. During this period, we were producing more commodities than we can consume as a nation and we therefore needed to sell them to other countries. So we brought in the hard currencies, strengthens the Naira, improve our balance of trade and create employment and wealth for our people.

In our postings on suggested solutions to SME exporters’ problems, we named some agencies that needed to be established by law in order to facilitate the export business in Nigeria. For these agencies to be able to function effectively, we will suggest that all export related agencies of the federal government (both the old ones and the new ones that we suggested should be established by law on this blog), should be under the direct supervision of Mr. President. This is to enable this sector gets the desire attention it deserves from the presidency. Supervision by the presidency will show how important this sector is to us as a nation. The fact that the head of the export agencies have to report directly to the presidency on progress made will make them all the civil servants working with them take their job more seriously and thus achieve the targets set for them by the presidency.

The presidency should come up with a road map and export growth strategy for Nigeria and personally monitors its execution. In one of the numerous speeches of the American president, he said every $1 billion in goods and services the United States exports "supports more than 5,000 jobs in the United States.” He also said that "So, the more we sell overseas, the more jobs we create on our shores," he said. "That's why, last year, I set a goal for this country: to double our exports by 2014. And it's a goal we're on track to meet."
If American president could realize the impact of export despite their current economic status which is still ranked among the topmost in the world and "For the first time, the United States of America is launching a single, comprehensive strategy to promote American exports," I think as a nation, we need to learn from Obama and do something really serious about our Non-Oil export sector very fast.

If the federal government is really serious about Industrialization, job creation, strengthening of Naira and growing the economy as projected, then exportation sector should be taken more seriously by the government and supervised by the presidency directly because of its immense benefit to any nation.

On a final note, if you are reading this blog and you have access to the presidency or people in authority and position of power, you will do the nation well to point their attention to the valuable suggestions that we have made available via this medium.

Long Live Federal Republic Of Nigeria !!!

Business / Re: Nigeria Makes $612m From Exportation Of Sesame Seeds by bayemibo: 10:35am On Sep 02, 2011
Sometimes I wonder why our Government chooses to deceive us, I am a trade finance specialist and an Export consultant (exportnigeria..com, 3timpex.com) and we have the data of all the products exported from Nigeria from 2006-2010 based on the NXP registered with Nigerian Banks which is a pre-requisite for exportation from Nigeria. The table below shows the data of the the volume of sales made for some of the commodities exported in 2010 of which sesame seed sales is just $157million due to huge post harvest losses.
Commodity Total (USD)
Cocoa beans 651,258,142.84
Cocoa butter 54,125,706.18
Cashew kernel 41,495,692.88
Cashew nut 18,988,066.08
Sesame seed 157,071,597.40
Ginger 9,418,397.79
Gum Arabic 32,340,295.86

TOTAL 964,697,899.02

Why do we like window dressing the truth from the public? We have potential to hit $600million in volume for the sales of sesame seed alone but we are not yet there (since more than 70% of our farmers are peasants we have not even utilized up to 50% of our arable land). But try to face the issues confroting us and tackle it head long instead of deceiving the public

I am not surprised at the response of some nairalander, if you followed history very well especially this man's prophecies and the result afterward, you will agree with me that this might not be a joke. Let's remove sentiments and check out some of his prophecies and its outcome. He prophesied that;

1.MKO is going to a journey of no return when he went into politics and we all know the outcome
2.SDP will fail and that NRC will loose and we all know the outcome
3.That the 1993 election will be cancelled and this happened that same week
4.The cancellation of PDP and NRC as a party by Abacha
5.Abacha time is up and that same week the man died
6.Obasanjo is not the Nigerian messiah and we could see the result
7.Obasanjo will die and the man gather hundreds of pastors to pray and avert it

I had to investigate this to take a position on his prophecy, the tapes are still there in his church for purchase and you can confirm from
newspapers of these period also.

I think we should take him serious and pray for this country instead of just criticizing him.

Business To Business / Exporting Charcoal by bayemibo: 5:17pm On May 23, 2011
Exporting Charcoal

Description: Charcoal is the blackish residue consisting of impure carbon obtained by removing water and other volatile constituents from animal and vegetation substances. Charcoal is usually produced by slow pyrolysis, i.e. the heating of wood, sugar, bone char, or other substances in the absence of oxygen. The resulting soft, brittle, lightweight, black, porous material resembles coal and is 85% to 98% carbon with the remainder consisting of volatile chemicals and ash.

Harvest: Hard wood charcoal can be produced year round. However it generally advised that charcoal production and export should be done during the dry season (from November to May). Production and export of charcoal during the raining season could be rejected by buyers because of the high moisture content (more than 10%) that usually characterized the charcoal produced during this period.

Location: Charcoal can be produced from different part of the country especially in the south west region (Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, Ekiti e.t.c), south-south and south-eastern part of the country (Enugu, Rivers, Cross river e.t.c) and also in the middle belt (Kwara, Kogi, Abuja and Benue) area of the country.

Volatile matter: 5-10% max
Wood matter: 2-4% max
