Politics / Professor Ukandi Damachi Reveals How Obasanjo’s Kitchen Staff Poisoned Yar’adua by BeautyFULL85(f): 12:56pm On Nov 22, 2013
Shocking revelations has emerged over the death of former
President, Umar Musa Yar’Adua.
According to a former President, Ibrahim Babangida’s
long-term confidant, Professor Ukandi G. Damachi; the
late Yar’Adua was poisoned by ex-kitchen staff of
President Obasanjo.
Wikileaks had revealed that Professor Ukandi G. Damachi
who is a friend to the US consul, told them about the
alleged poisoning of the erstwhile president.
The Wikileaks cable, reference ID 08LAGOS153, described
in Professor Damachi’s narration, that the late president,
Yar’Adua was given poison in his food, “his food was
poisoned.”
According to the report, when president Yar’Adua realized
this, he sacked the entire Obasanjo’s kitchen staff.
He further alleged that, “There are lots of problems in
Nigeria.” The first problem, he said, is the President’s
illness; “his food was poisoned.”
“The President inherited Obasanjo’s kitchen staff”;
Yar’Adua has now fired them all, and the kitchen has
been cleaned out following the incident” Damachi added.
“The President was so sick that the day he signed the
budget, he was unable to sign a second piece of
legislation awaiting his approval…”
Late Yar’Adua was known to have stepped hard on his
predecessors toes. Upon entering office, president
Yar’Adua, described by his wife as a very honest man
who left no wealth behind seriously went after the reversal
of Nigeria’s public assets that his predecessor had sold to
his allies, Dangote and Femi Otedola.
“In the weeks leading to Obasanjo’s departure, Dangote’s
privately held company has also scooped up a cement
plant, a telecoms licence and mining concessions in a
rush of privatisations that has triggered accusations of
cronyism by opposition parties.”
President Yar’Adua “after considering the facts presented
to him, the President directed that the sale should be
revoked as the exercise was not transparent enough. The
Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) praised President
Yar’Adua for the revocation of the privatization of the refineries.

Religion / Is Alcohol A Sin? by BeautyFULL85(f): 12:07pm On Sep 15, 2013
Just dis morning i was abt taking d trash out wen i heard d doorbell ring. Trash in hand i went out, forgetting it was a sunday morning and "da witnesses" would be out on d streets. I opened the door and before me stood two ladies and a guy. D lady who introduced herself as Grace looked straight at d empty bottle of scotch in my left hand and smiled. She interrupted Max (d guy) in d middle of his speech and changed d topic to drinking of alcohol. She made it sound like it was a sin to even look at a bottle of alcohol. I've never drank drunk, i only take a little to pep up a dull drink! So i wanna knw, is it totally wrong to drink alcohol in any quantity at all?

kwangi: Madame, calm down dia!
Read what you wrote above and tell me you're not the definition of "full of yourself".
So because a clown ignorantly and maliciously made your work a yardstick you now feel you are better than anybody? Wake up!
Please point out what's constructive about that dude's criticism.
Or do you want to claim that this' the first time flow's been criticised on this story/thread.
Was people's reaction anything like what you got here?
The only part I would fault him was mentioning you in his response, but then you had to tell him you're better because the mcjive dude kissed your black buttt.
""Keep your emotions in check!""
Every nut job comes around to spit crap under the guise of criticism.
Wake up!!!

I was abt to give u dat advice, abt keeping ur emotions in check... Ur response reeks of anger and desperation. Relax dude!

Ishilove:
Mr Flow, you will do well by keeping me out of your posts, okay? We are not competing.

You need a lesson in humility because the way i see it, you are very full of yourself. You are letting praise get into your head, man. You also need a lesson on how to handle criticism. I have said it before and i will say it again, if giants like Wole Soyinka still give out their works for peer review before publication, if Habila, Chimamanda, Okri et al still get criticised, then who are you, flow, not to be criticised? If you want to take writing seriously then better start getting used to criticism.

I mean it when I say you should keep my username out of your posts. I, unlike you, welcome constructive criticisms because I want to grow and get better. C'est fini.

You knw Ishilove, u took those words right off my mouth! I've been following his thread for a while now, and i've noticed he doesnt seem to knw how to handle criticism! Instead of trading words with ur critic like ur fans did, t'would have bin better if u said "thank you", and continued. U dont have to agree with wat he said! Shows a level of maturity on ur part. And besides, d critic just mentioned tinz he wasn't comfortable wit in ur story... I for one couldnt understand most of d tinz u wrote in there, seems u're not too particular abt some of ur reading audience. And would u pls do as d lady said and stop using her name for ur argument...! I'm so sure in a matter of minutes, some goons will be here quoting me and spewing rubbish. Well, knock urselves out!

ojesoj: you NL ladies and other ladies out there carrying this ideology in ur mindset would ruin ur future with ur husband. because you would find urself competing him at home and trust me no man wants that.......no say ojesoj no tell una ooooooo

Competing with my husband is d last tin on ma mind. As Mrs Chima said earlier, ONLY a married man can claim to be the head of his family. And den d wife knws she has to submitt to him. And even then, there has to be mutual respect, btwn dem, not "god-headness"! All i'm saying is dat, "dis is a man's world" is a highly overrated hype!

Romance / Re: Love Taboo! by BeautyFULL85(f): 11:18pm On Apr 06, 2013
Yes. Dad is yoruba. And he believes we're all family. So its wrong for dem to be more dan my sister's in-laws to me.
Romance / Love Taboo! by BeautyFULL85(f): 7:42pm On Apr 06, 2013
I'm still trying to get over this tradition dis and dat, cos its about to tear my world apart. I'm partly Nigerian, partly British. My sister's husband's brother (my brother-in-law) came to Texas for a program, and stopped by Miami to say hello to my family. One tin led to d oda, and we decided we liked each oda's company. He's talking marriage, and my parents tink its a taboo. Not like we're bloodly related or anytin... So why is it a taboo for me to marry my sister's husband's brother ("Nigerianly" of cos)?
