Religion / Foursquare Reaffirms Sam Aboyeji As General Overseer by bengas59: 8:57am On Apr 09
Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria has reaffirmed Rev (Dr) Sam Aboyeji as its General Overseer.

Recall Aboyeji took over from Rev. Felix Meduoye, who served the church for nine years in 2019.

Prior to his emergence as GO, Rev. Aboyeji was the church’s Midwest regional Coordinator.

At the church’s Ajebo Lagos-Ibadan Campground, where the election held, Rev. Aboyeji received an overwhelming vote of 1,931 (i.e. 97.6%) from the 1,979 votes cast by delegates, to lead the church for another term of five years beginning from November 2024.

The chairman of the electoral (Affirmation) committee, who is the Northern Regional Coordinator of the church, Rev. Prof. James Nda Jacob announced the re-election of Rev. Aboyeji on Monday, April 8.

This special convention, according to the Church, comes on the eve of the church’s International Conference for Ministers and Leaders with the theme: Making Disciples.

The church’s constitution, TRIBUNE ONLINE gathered, requires that the General Overseer secures simple majority votes cast by delegates for the renewal of his mandate at the expiration of his first tenure of five years in office.

Part IV, Section 2 (h) states thus:

“The General Overseer shall serve for a term of five (5) years in the first instance. Thereafter, renewable for another final term of five (5) years through secret ballot of “yes” or “no” which shall hold in the month of April at a Special Convention.”

Rev. Aboyeji is the 5th indigenous General Overseer of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria, a church with its roots from the United States of America, founded in 1923 by a Canadian-America Lady Evangelist, Aimee Semple McPherson.

The church was established in Nigeria in 1955 and currently has over 4,700 branches spread across the 36 states of the Federation and the FCT.

The last five years have witnessed the General Overseer focusing the attention of his administration on training and development of ministers, upscaling their healthcare/welfare and that of members, intentional youth engagement and empowerment, as well as outreaches to both hinterlands and major cities.

Prior to his assumption of office as the General Overseer of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria in November 2019, Rev. Aboyeji had a successful career with the Anglo-Dutch oil giant, Shell, where he served for nearly 20 years.

In 2010, he left the corporate world to pursue full-time ministry. Before joining Shell, he worked at the premier stockbroking firm, Nigerian Stock Brokers Limited, a subsidiary of NAL Merchant Bank, now known as Sterling Bank Plc.

In his remarks after the exercise, Rev. Aboyeji appreciated the delegates for the peaceful conduct of the Affirmation election, while also coveting the cooperation and participation of all the members in fulfilling the mandate of the church.

“Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria will not relent in playing its God-given pivotal role as a frontline evangelical and Pentecostal Movement in our country.

“Our Inreach, Outreach, and Nextgen focus will continue to guide and shape our policies and procedures in meeting the demands of ministry. The welfare of all our ministers will be further enriched as we accelerate the pursuit of our evangelistic and mission thrust,” he said.

Business / Day And Night Blinds Benefits by bengas59: 10:39am On Feb 03
Due to functionality and practicality, the popularity of Day and Night roller blinds is still growing. The blinds are made of two layers of fabrics that overlap each other to create different sizes of the passages of darkness or lightness in the room.

The greatest advantages of Day and Night blinds include the possibility of a smooth change of light intensity entering the room. The double fabric gives the possibility of darkening and uncovering so that the room darkens and brightens with a single stroke of the bead. Contact 08079951366 or 08079951344

Another advantage is that they can be an independent window decoration. In modern interiors, they perfectly decorate and darken the room without using any other window accessories. Contact 08079951366 or 08079951344

Day and night blackout blinds provide excellent light control, creating a soft shadow effect that can cover the entire window while keeping the light in the room. This is very important especially for people who work at the computer. Contact 08079951366 or 08079951344

Business / Benefits Of Laminate Flooring (wooden Floor) by bengas59: 10:15am On Dec 21, 2021
If you are in the market for new flooring, and you desire wood flooring, but you are hesitant to purchase real wood because of budget or durability concerns, laminate flooring is an affordable and practical option. Laminates have come a long way from their initial conception.

There are numerous benefits to laminate flooring. Topical images placed over the compressed wood core mimic the beauty of real wood amazingly. There are many series that convincingly recreate hand scraped textures and beveled edges. In addition, laminates are typically a fraction of the cost of hardwood flooring, and laminate installation is less expensive than real wood.

They are more durable than wood, offering a scratch resistant topical layer that wood cannot match, eliminating gouging and deep scratches that are more inherent with natural wood. Laminate can be a perfect solution for active homes where children and pets rule the day. Another benefit of laminate is the UV protection that is included in the topical protectant. Direct afternoon sun shining through a window is a killer on all flooring, but with an additional UV protectant that many laminate lines offer, fading and bleaching occur over a much longer period of time than natural wood.

Flooring durability
This is a layered product and, at the top is an ultra-strong, clear aluminum oxide coating that protects the floor from scratches, scuffs, stains, and sun fading. There is also the AC (Abrasion Criteria) Rating that most manufacturers use to determine each product's strength in various uses. The higher the number, the stronger the product; most residential applications should go for AC3 or AC4 for moderately and heavily foot trafficked rooms.

High water resistance/waterproof
There are two versions, the original highly water-resistant one and now a waterproof one with a unique construction that keeps stains from absorbing. This, in turn, eliminates concerns about staining and buckling. Be sure to specify the version you want.
