i 've lived in sa myself for 51/2 yrs and i tell u that its not gonna be as bad as the west want the world to believe.but its really a jungle out there, so one still need to be careful.
@all the sa people coming to nairaland to talk 'shit' ala sa, i'll tell them to shut up cos there country is not really all that!sa is beautiful and the infrastructures are working but the people are the worst set of people i've come across.
be careful with the inner city of jo'burg as is really dangerous in there especially around that soccer city area {stadium}remember, ojuelegba in lagos where i reside now is safer than the richest african suburb of sandton just some ten mins drive from jo'burg cbd. heard they've finished the inner city metro rail system ,so navigation will now be easier.cos u can just board a train from the airport for just 2:50rands to the inner city and and from there u take another one to the suburbs.can't really say much about this cos i left since 2007 .
be very wary of ur compatriots that live there as they pose a greater risk and be careful wit the girls!
please don't come back without seeing capetown the 5th most beautiful city on earth!
