OyoTunjiUSA:

Thanks for the feedback,

I already have my own US visa since last year, i already filled her DS160 as an individual and paid for the visa fee.

Do i still submit my passport with hers after clicking all the necessary details for IW.

Hey đŸ€

1. Your infant is qualified for a natural interview waiver because she cannot really answer a consular as a minor, but she is not qualify for IW visa renewal because she has not been given any USA VISA before.

2. Remove her as a dependent in your cgi portal . Fill your own DS-160 and after submission do not exit the page and continue to add dependent (your daugher) information. This will merge your daughter's information inside your DS-160.

3. After the above, fill another DS-160 only for your infant (just exactly the way you fill it for yourself) and submit. Then go to GTB and pay her MRV physically (do not pay via mobile app).

4. You will then apply as if you are renewing and upon submission you will have to submit , Your passport , her passport , birth certificate , Hospital bill/attestation of his birth , your DS-160 confirmation and her DS-160 confirmation together with her mrv receipt .

PS: This situation is tricky. You may likely be summon to appear physically with her.

Best Wishes 🙏

Good afternoon House, Please i have an inquiry. I currently hold a us visa and will like to apply for my infant who is 1 year old. i clicked on schedule appointment as she qualifies for an interview waiver but the questions for inteview waiver are that of renewal,

am i supposed to fill all of them as if we want to do a renewal because infants meet the qualifications for interview waiver but the questions are like is your visa expiring within 3 months or within the past 48 months etc and this is my child's first passport and application.

do i just go ahead and fill everything like im doing a renewal? if i go the normal route id have to schedule for Nov 2025 for an interview which i believe is not needed for an infant especially as i have a valid US Visa as well.

Please advise

They're working on your application. At times, it could also mean an officer only looked at your casefile and left without doing anything on it. Mine was updated about 8 times as I was checking regularly before it was finally approved.

Thanks for the feedback

I travel at 35 weeks. Never had an issue with Delta or Air France. But it depends on your body.

Pls check pg 410, i dropped my own bill breakdown from Memorial hermann there. My own advice is that you hold plenty money. they have many hidden charges that the folks at the front desk don't know about

Thanks for your prompt feedback. will check right away

Isolo is 3 straight weeks, going by my experience, my cousin's and others who had submitted documents to them between January and March. Last December, I learnt it took between a week and 2 to have passports back. The timeline could take a different turn tomorrow sha

I pray it does!! Cz I need it out asap. It is well

Doesn’t look like there’s a definite timeline. I submitted on the 23rd of March at Surulere DHL and the place was empty that day too. Tracking still shows “Application received” 4 weeks later

Oh wow that long it is well

Good evening,

Please who has timeline for IW submission via surulere Lagos Dhl office. Went this Monday 17th April and I was so surprised how Empty it was. We were barely 5 people there for 8am submission. Does this mean the application will be faster since limited no of applicants?

Latest time to travel depends on the airline you are flying with, and I guess also depends on how strong you feel - confirm with the airline what their policy is. I travelled at 35weeks+6days on a 10hr flight đŸ˜©

Thanks alot will call the available airlines and find out đŸ˜„ this IW feedback after passport submission been taking long lately. It is well

Good day house, please does any one know if it’s possible to get passport without the notarized document as there is no appointment date for lagos/Abuja office in October and only available date is november 30th and return flight is already scheduled for 11th.

Is there also a way one can apply you passport without SSN? No passport appointment available in November in Houston . Only date available is Oct 29th as at today

Please assist

$3600 and $5k is their old price o. They increased price like 2017/2018. A lot of people on this thread used to use whmc until their price increment to like 2.5/3x

Price as at today is $3,600 for vaginal (2days hospital stay) and $5,000 for CS (3 days hospital stay). I literally just got off the phone with WHMC to reconfirm . I think you have to state that it’s self pay (cash) and they’ll advise you accordingly .

They quoted me $6k for CS , WHMC is like $10k , Methodist $10k . I didn’t even check oakbend because my friends that used there gave me bad reviews.

Hi @debieeeeeee , WHMC (west Houston medical Centre on Richmond avenue right ?) is actually $3,600 for vaginal delivery & $5,000 for CS. Got their rates last month from my Dr

First Timer, just thought to share my experience as I am very distraught ATM . I lost my first baby last Saturday 1st Feb at 21 weeks.

It started out like any other day the Thursday before . I went to the office , bought a few food stuff on my way home n then went home cooked , served my husband and then we got intimate .

Few hours later I had re occurring cramps (I have growing fibroids which isn't in the uretus) I assumed that was what caused the cramps but if was persistent from midnight to 6am my husband insisted we went to the hospital which we did and I found out I was contracting .

The Gynae gave me some injections n placed me on drip and the contractions continued and eventually stopped. On Friday morning I noticed I was bleeding non stop I asked for the gynaecologist and was told he doesn't work on weekends that he has travelled to visit his family (I was surprised Cz I was his patient and it was an emergency so expected him to atleast stay Friday to monitor me ) .

In the afternoon on Friday , I noticed my gestational sac hanging out of my vagina (that is the sac that holds the amniotic fluid and baby ) I was screaming in tears n shock . I was supposed to have my baby in the us so I called my Us doctor who insisted they carry out an emergency cerclage (stitching of the cervix) but the gynae was unavailable .

I asked to be transferred to another hospital n they said their ambulance was at their ikeja office , wow I was dumb founded Cz I couldn't stand n needed to be in laying position due to the sac sticking out. After some time the sac went back in . I kept on praying n crying as this was our first child.

I asked if they had incubator just incase the baby comes out they said no.

After much back n forth he sent a replacement gynae from their ikeja branch (I was in ikoyi branch ) who arrived at 8pm who advised that nothing could be done but observe and pray and he left back to ikeja branch instead of staying with me as I was an emergency patient.

I bled all night , my baby was a fighter his heart beat was still on functioning well all through the distress (every time I did scan in the past , drs always commented of how active my son was)

On Saturday morning I woke up to pee and felt like a balloon burst from inside me my water broke. Immediately called the nurses who checked the heart beat n the baby's heart rate was still perfect.

I went to the delivery room , my son head popped out he was still moving as he came out inside the sac after 5 mins he passed. Then the torture began . They general practitioner n nurses spent 2-3 hrs trying to remove the placenta , used all sort to expand my uterus - forcep, hands , clamps I was in excruciating pain . All this while the gynae n replacement gynae were not available .

They finally got the placenta out n I had to be treated with lots of antibiotics as I was feverish n having short breaths so they gave me that incase of any infection .

Been crying all through , the gynae finally graced us with his presence on Monday night imagine the loss was on sat(no calls or nothing the whole weekend) .

My husband and I asked him for reason for the pre term labour he couldn't give us a specific reason . Just said stress , sex we had a night before or anything .

Let me just stop here ,I am recovering and I pray no one ever experience such treatment as I feel like this could have been controlled and the loss was due to negligence .

Sorry bibi. Did any of your fiance's family change status from temporary to permanent resident while in Canada? This could impact negatively on both your applications if your ties are not strong enough to outweigh that possibility:

"Applicant's incentives to remain in Canada may outweigh their ties to their home country"

My fiancé’s sister is a Canadian citizen while his mum is a permanent resident (changed while she went to visit ) but in all of this I never mentioned my fiancé’s name /family details or links to him in my application as we aren’t yet married officially. I only advised that I was getting married in Nov
