you are just a tribal bigots. If not i don’t see your reason of not voting the right person, which I know you are sure Obi is fit for the work . Tinubu is old cargo instead , let’s have buhari remains the president than to have another pro max

Its no ones fault that obi didn't do his homework very well.....u need to crawl before you walk then run but he just wants to jump from crawling.

Though I like what he has brought to the table by distorting the political dynamics of the country but even himself knows 2023 isn't for him.

You guys can go ahead and make your statement in 2023 but you need to learn more about politics and how its played, then engage people and not insult everyone that doesn't share your view, then you can build bridges.....I trust obi is going back to PDP after loosing in 2023, he is better off there.

The pictures you are looking at was during the governor of Bornu state rally.

Look well, there's no sign it is for agbado munchers presidential candidate rally tongue

I think you have to look properly again. Borno state has the second largest voting bloc in the NE after atiku adamawa and if you are still in doubt that that state is on lockdown for APC then you must be building castles in the air may I also add yobe, though with the smallest voting bloc in the NE is a good headstart for APC come election day and that's 2 states from atiku's region already.

If you know politics,I am ready to give you state by state analysis.

PDP is at its worst decline since it was formed....its unfortunate that we will be having APC with no viable opposition, hope LP will be able to effectively take over the mantle.....even obi will get more votes in the south than PDP as it is right now

Just because you were born in Britain, carry their passport, and speak with their accent doesn't make you a British

likewise, a white person born in Nigeria, who has a Nigerian accent, and carries a Nigerian passport also isn't a Nigerian

A black person doesn't have any traditional or historical connection with Britain

Black people, Stop trying hard to be accepted by white people

The annoying thing is that most of the people on here screaming blue murder are equally as chauvinistic as those they accuse of racism.....carribeans don't like black African in UK,african americans don't like african descents, igbo doesn't like yoruba, yoruba doesn't like hausa and vice versa and the cycle continues.

There is bias everywhere even within your family....no matter how hard you try,you are different......instead of me wasting my sympathy for her,I did just tell her to leave the UK and get back to her roots, quit complaining

She had a golden opportunity to skul abroad which millions of Nigerian are looking for, she misused it and is looking for an opportunity to apportion blame, ppl like me attended public skuls from primary to university level with very minimal supervision, cos our parents were poor, yet we manage to kip our heads above d water. She is the master or her fate and architect of her misfortune.

Because you made it doesn't mean everyone can, even your children isn't guaranteed of making it under same circumstances....successful isn't inherited....there are no two same personalities in the world, everyone is different and what works for A may not necessarily work for B.

There is a huge cultural revolution going on in our society today, the way your father raised you isn't same way you will raise your kids,I am certain they will do hate you if you try that.....many families are being broken abroad, you start to loose control over your kids from age 12 due to societal pressure on you and the kids, you don't have full control over your life nor the kids....that's what makes Nigeria different, you can be poor or down right irresponsible but your kids still rever you but not same abroad because if you falter in anyway those kids are ready to weaponise it against you with help of society over there

Politics / Re: 2023: Anambra Youth Coalition Asks Obi To Step Down by Bigleaf1006: 2:02pm On Nov 30, 2022
Xbobtage:

The statement by the Coalition and that of Soludo are Clever by half and has the hand writing of people paid by the PDP over it.

Here is what is more factual.

This is not just a Tribal contest, there is more of a Religious and Geopolitical Tussle at stake after Buharis very Nepotic administration.

There are four very serious Candidates in this race. Three of them are Muslim, and only one is christian. This is the biggest Factor.

Peter Obi is not just an Igbo man, the man is married to an Ibibio woman, from akwaibom, so the Akwa-Cross people are fighting to get their sister in Aso Rock as well, the Ibibio are one of the largest Minorities in Nigeria after the Fulani People.

Secondly alot of you Tinubu supporters keep saying that No Shinedu, or Emeka, will ever enter aso rock, forgetting there are alot of tribes in the SS, and Middlebelt that bear igboic names but do not consider themselves igbo people, those people are also trying to prove a point to some you who are cancelling their identity as nigerians by protest voting for Obi.

I am a Rivers Man, though some of our people might have their reservations when it comes to certain aspects of igbo people but at this point all of has been thrown into the wind, We feel more as though we are fighting for the survival of our Identity and Religious beliefs, and the only person on the Ballot who would stand for us is Obi. I bet you that if you Polygraphed any Christain Minority tribe in the SS or Middle Belt, that is an Obidient and this will be one of the core reason at the bottom of their vote.

And finally this is an unfair fight between Obi, Atiku and Tinubu, without too much thinking Obi is 10,000 times better it will literally take a mentally unstable or extremely tribalistic person to leave Obi and vote for either of the two.

Nigerian Democracy is still young, dont be using CNN statistics of 100s of years Of Democrats and Republican Voters in the US to look at Nigeria. How old is APC? a party that has only won a full tenure of Presidency. There is nothing like traditional votes, its only vested interest.

We are a very tribalistic, religious, poor and Money minded country, I am not saying this is right but that is how we choose candidates in Nigeria, if he is not from our tribe, then someone from our region, if not then religion, if not then someone that will pay us before we vote, or someone whose administration is likely to make us richer, Looking at this four aspects, you can clearly see that Obi has no competition,

Finally with less chances of rigging with BVAS, we will be finally getting to know the real numbers of votes casted per region in this election. Hope I have helped to clear that emotional lens you are talking about.

You only just ended up contradicting yourself.
Most of the people few you see shouting obidient are majorly just going with the trend and trying not to be seen as different, any Igbo man you ask will tell you he is definitely voting obi but many of this assertions are just half hearted commitments.

Many don't have PVCs,obi stronghold which is the SE is bedeviled by security challenges which does not guarantee peaceful elections, many would be scared to come out to vote even those with PVCs or originally intended to vote.

Obi is being seen by other tribe as being tribalistic and a igbo cum biafra agenda and many resent that which wouldn't market him well outside his region even the SS.

You talked about people collecting money to vote.yes this is unfortunately the case in nigeria and we can't deny it but is it obi that cannot drop shi shi for campaign that will now be ready to induce votes, this tells you that many that hitherto should have voted for him outside of his region will easily be swayed by monetary inducements.

You talked about religion, sir if you really want your obi to have any headway just stop propagating the religious card, the same way you as a christian is pushing for your christian candidates us same way a Muslim has the right to push his own candidate and vote based on that.....I put it to you that the SE and SS baring edo state are about the religiously hegemonious regions in Nigeria, there are even more Christians in the NW than there are moslems in the SE but the moslem voting block in the NW is the largest in the country and the SW which comes second doesn't care about religion are you telling obi will get highest votes in NE or even NC?

Obi is highly cerebral and I like his courage and he has come to change the face of politics in nigeria for good even without him winning,I also respect his doggedness especially how he won his mandate back in ambers but I wouldn't want to delude myself into believing obi will win come 2023,it is mathematically impossible.....yes it might be possible in future but definitely not 2023.

You really tried with this write up. But I must tell you that 2023 election will be a different ball game.

Nasarawa has always been PDP stronghold before 2019. One thing I am insinuating is people may not be comfortable with the situation of things in Nigeria. Hence, there may be change of mind.

Again, considering Obi/Kwakwaso factor. Things may change.

The fact that there are lots of Fulani in Kwara state, Hausa in Niger, Abuja, Nasarawa and lots of christians in Benue and Jos, the game is very open. PDP has a very strong structure in the North Central.

Don't forget, Buhari is not on the ballot and the next most popular candidates are Atiku, Kwakwaso and Obi whom they believe is very young and active.

In a nutshell, anybody can win North Central.

Nice!! I beg to differ, nothing has changed and nothing will change, the only difference is we are having a multi faceted race in 2023 which doesn't argue well for people, they are the most affected with the emergence of obi and kwankwaso.

If it was a 2 horse race then your assertion can hold water,as it isn't it's more to the advantage of APC.

Nasarawa you say is PDP has 3 of the past 4 govs in apc with all there structures and on who or what structure is pdp expecting to mount a challenge with ......Ilorin has the largest voting block in kwara with 4 Lgas but the Fulani Hausa population in this places can not dilute the cosmopolitan demography of kwara central and trust me APC has that place on lock down power of incumbency, resources and the not to encouraging past of people, kwara south are majorly yoruba stock while the north has their problems with herdsmen and bandits.

Niger state is strongly in the hands of the APC and Benue and plateau won't want anything Fulani.

LP doesn't have the structures to pose any threats and are also lacking in resources and reach same for NNPP.....its who with the most resources that will win 2023 and that's APC.....this is unfortunately the reality on ground, except we want to develop ourselves

Are you sure?

Bring your facts and let's learn

Nasarawa is APC in and out at the moment and all 3 of the last 4 govs are all still alive and very active politically and united for the same course...that makes APC very formidable.nasarawa north is the battle ground and you know LP is in there somewhere.

Kogi central and kogi west is a strong hold of the APC at the moment and we don't see that changing soon, the battle ground is kogi east where the pdp is still quite strong and they have the highest voting population but APC will be ready to split the votes with them and emergence of LP forbodes nothing good for PDP.

Kara is still on its journey with apc and the gov is out to fight for a second term though the saraki influence is still a very huge advantage for the PDP,I don't see them upsetting the status quotes, moreso when apc has been able to get it house in order in the state ahead of 2023

Benue will never welcome atiku based on his Fulani heritage also ortom not on his side compounds an already bad situation now top that with the LP challenge,Benue right now is the worst nightmare for atiku, forget about ayu influence, though considerable but nothing near enough to get atiku anything.

Plateau isn't much different from Benue based on contemporary indices and LP has come to divide what atiku should have gotten right through the middle.

Niger state is in the hands of the oligarchs in that state and the gov is a staunch ally of the APC candidate and he is a part of the oligarchs as a son of sani bello and i don't see them ready to ruffle any feathers by sticking out for anyone.

Many people visit campaign venues for different purpose....

One could be for the money shared. and the other could be to listen to the candidates and take notes of their promises.

Many people will all be at the campaign ground. But during election, only one person faces the ballot and will determine its fate alone.

I believe that campaign grounds will never determine who will win election as we've all gone pass this level of electioning.

Performance?

This is the most useless politician in Nigeria, talking about performance. Abia State looks like a dump for refuse and a palace for busstop touts.

I'll tell you a story about this foodflask-headed dunce. This failure, once a main road he would normally ply to his house gets in ruins in Abia, he would abandon that route and begin to follow another one. You can confirm this from those who have been to Amakama, Olokoro, in Umuahia. I mean, you would not see his fleet of Land Cruisers passing there.

Peradventure an individual repairs or retars that road or the community, he'll begin to ply the route again.

Coming to Aba, he has demolished the popular Waterside Market for no justifiable reason that, at least, internally generate revenue for the state. That place is virgin now. The road to Osisioma in the rainy days is so bad that people on foot would get accidents...how much more vehicles?

Coming to Obikabia, there are statues he mounted there. But ask me chief, do you mount statues on bad roads?

This is a man who normally visits that popular Ahia Nkwo in Obingwa to drink brukutu in those days while enjoying the football matches played by local leagues. That time, he was full of promises of what he'll do and all whatnot. Now ask me what he has done. Annoying thing is you'll see his posters littered everywhere showing roads he claim to have built. Haba mana, uncle, fear God!

I don't even want to talk about the tens of police officers and soldiers you will pass on the road extorting money from drivers. In fact, at exactly that Obikabia itself, the soldiers there can win the Grammys for extortion. God forgive that useless tout they use to do it there.

Oya enter Obingwa, that place still has the skeleton of the time the whites were with us.

The popular Ahia Ohuru, Ngwa road, and Ariaria markets generating good proceeds for the state is eyesore. Please don't ever wear white clothes going there.

I pity commercial drivers there. It's just as if they are working for the government. Omo, you need to see the task they pay. For example, from Gate, UMUAHIA, to Isicourt, you are paying two different types of tax. From Isi Court to Ahia Ukwu, another different tax. These are places that isn't up to six minutes drive. Don't even go the Umuosu or Ngwa without keeping your tax money except you don't want to carry passengers. Even the Keke drivers are suffering!

Whenever I go to Abia, the only positivity alive is the will of hardworkers who tirelessly work day to the following day in these markets producing things the state government don't value.

The only achievement to his name is a rainbow low-budget flyover he mounted in Osisioma. This is the same man who wags his tail escorting Wike to commission myriad of flyovers Wike has done.

The craze is that they'll always find their way to the Senate cos of the political apathy present in the state.

While we blame Buhari for failing Nigeria, blame state governor too. They are the first failures.

How then did he win a second term?

Ikpeazu really represents his name... The Last.
