The Next Superstar Reality TV Show which is one house of fame, lifestyle, glitz and glamour initiated for young talented Nigerians.

The TV show is powered by Skyland Entertainment, a creative entertainment content developer in Africa that discovers, promotes, and projects brands and talents in the society.

The Next Superstar TV Show with the theme, "Unity in Diversity" geared towards proffering possible solutions to problems facing Nigeria as a Nation.

With its name, Next Superstar is a talent hunt show that is aimed at making stars out of the platform.

For the maiden edition which is currently running in Lagos, auditions were held in seven cities of Nigeria, namely: Lagos, Abuja, Bennin, Owerri, Port Harcourt, Calabar and Enugu.

36 housemates were then selected and the contestants resumed the house on the 29th of
September, 2019.

Out of the 36 contestants, ten have been evicted leaving 26 in the house who are contesting for the Star Prize.

The winner of Next Superstar TV Show slated to go home with 2 million Naira cash prize, Mercedes Benz and other goodies.

The the show is currently being aired on R2TV on Gotv Channel 112 and the housemates are subjected to votes from viewers to remain in the house and emerges the final winner.

Big Brother Naija 2019 finalist. Mike Edwards, on Sunday visited one of his campaigner, MC Oluomo, exactly one week after the show..

Oluomo, Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), had campaigned for Mike during the final week of the reality show that was eventually won by Mercy Eke.

The reality TV star was accompanied by his wife, British Olympian, Perri Shakes-Drayton, to see the popular thug in Oshodi area.

President Muhammadu Buhari granted an interview with Arise TV which was aired on Monday evening.

The interview is part of the channel’s one-on-one discussions with presidential aspirants.

The channel says that Buhari declined to have a live interview opting for a recorded session.

Arise also said that after they ran a story promoting the interview, the presidency called and said the team will not be allowed to bring in their equipment but was told that NTA will record the interview and send the tape to the channel.

The interview generated lots of reactions from Nigerians as many took to Twitter to lambasted the President for his unimpressive performance.

Arise TV has now released the video of the interview.

The team of interviewers include (Eniola Bello, Managing Director of ThisDay newspaper; Kayode Komolafe, the Deputy Managing Director of ThisDay newspaper; and Segun Adeniyi, chairman of ThisDay Board of Editors).

Music Superstar, David Adeleke, popularly called Davido has appealed to the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike to support the governorship campaign of his uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke for Osun State Government House.

Accoriding to a statement by Simeon Nwakaudu, Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor, Electronic Media said in a statement, Davido made the appeal during a visit to Wike at the Government House, Port Harcourt on Friday.

The Hip-hop musician also stated that his company, Davido Music Worldwide has identified young musicians who will be promoted in the state while declaring his resolve to partner with the Rivers State Government to develop music talents in the state.

He lauded Governor Wike for being one of the best performing governors in the current dispensation, saying that his visit exposed him to several developmental projects of Governor Wike.

He noted that his goal is grow international music stars outside Lagos and empower more youths through music.

He announced that his organisation will organise a major music concert in Port in December where local and international music stars will participate.

Davido condoled with the Rivers State Governor on the death of the Attorney General of Rivers State, Hon Emmanuel Aguma. He prayed God to grant him the strength to bear the loss.

Responding, Governor Wike assured Davido that he will support Senator Adeleke to emerge victorious during the Osun State governorship election.

He said the entire PDP structure will work for the victory of Senator Adeleke.

Wike also assured Davido that the Rivers State Government will partner with him to groom young musicians in the state.

“We are committed to youth empowerment. Supporting musicians to grow is one of such avenues. Therefore, we will partner with you to grow Rivers based musicians”, he said.

Governor Wike commended Davido for collaborating with Rivers-Born International Musician, Duncan Mighty.

The governor added that the State Government will work with Davido to ensure that his Port Harcourt music concert slated for December is successful.

The Big Brother Naija 2018 is wrapping up in few hours and it's time for the remaining housemates to look back and reflect - and that's exactly what Cee-c did by talking to herself in the mirror for minutes.

The housemate went to one of quite rooms and faced herself in the mirror, telling Cee-c what Cee-c should do and shouldn't do.

The Big Brother Naija 2018 comes to an end on Sunday and Alex's Mom will sure be waiting to receive her in warm embrace.

An emotional Alex couldn’t hold back tears when she was announced as the winner of the Dano Milk task which happened a few weeks ago.

The poem which she wrote for her mother titled “I’m my mother’s daughter’ saw her as the overall winner and the message from her mom touched her even more.

Apart from winning the Head of House challenge, this was Alex’s first win and as talkative as she is, this time words failed her.

Alex wrote the poem to her mom on the International Women’s Day and she sang nothing but praises for her dearest mother.

Painting her as a flower that is as sweet as honey even when life throws her bitterness, Alex read the poem in front of her fellow Housemates and when the video was shown, sitting still was a difficult mission for her. Tobi even advised her to listen to her mother’s reply and then she tried being still.

‘A free but strong spirit that never accepts defeat’, that’s what Alex wrote of her mother.

Alex seems to be good with words and this is something she's barely spoken about in the House, but her poem to her mom and apology to Cee-C shown an incredible display of words.

Both writings showed in depth emotions and as though she likes talking, what she pens mostly is accompanied by great sense of meaning.

Dano Milk’s reward to Alex’s winning poem saw them refurbishing her mother’s kitchen. In her thank you reply, she spoke of how appreciative she is of her daughter.

The newly refurbished kitchen with all its appliances wasn’t fully complete until, of course, the cupboards were filled with Dano Milk.

The Big Brother Naija 2018 housemates who have entertained us for the past few days with their fight has resolved their issues last night with the help of fellow housemates, Tobi, Alex and Anto.

Miracle and Nina had confessed love for each other in show but failed out after Ebuka, the show host, demanded to know the strength of their relationship.

Nina had referred to Miracle as his friend not lover following Ebuka's question and that started an emotional war between the romantic partners.

The relationship between Big Brother Naija 2018 housemates, Miracle and Nina may be hitting the rocks soon as they are currently having issues due to Nina's response to show host, Ebuka's question.

Nina and Miracle started their relationship right from the beginning of the show when they chose each other as strategic partners.

Nina had also confessed that she has a boyfriend outside the show, who she’s not willing to let go.

Nina refused to address Miracle as her boyfriend when Ebuka demanded to know how strong their relationship was, and she has revealed that the incident has damaged her relationship with Miracle and her boyfriend Collins.

Also during their diary sessions this afternoon, Nina told Big Brother that Miracle is not happy with her, after she referred to him as her best friend and also noted the fact that they can't date outside the house.

Also speaking on their issues, Miracle told Big Brother during his diary session that he feels they are definitely more than friends and that Nina needs to be honest with him so it doesn't turn out that she played him.

According to Mircale, she can't come to him at night and call him boo when she needs his company, and then call him just a friend to the world.

Big Brother Naija 2018 housemate, Nina has said the show host, Ebuka has damaged her relationship with fellow housemate, Miracle and her boyfriend Collins.

Nina lamented the question put to her by Ebuka.

Ebuka had asked her how strong her relationship with Miracle was and if it would continue outside the show.

Ebuka further insisted to know if she could call Miracle her boyfriend. Responding, Nina refused to call Miracle her boyfriend, but rather said he was “My best friend. My everything.”

She said her relationship with Miracle was now in serious confusion as a result of the said question.

Nina now fears she may lose both Collins and Miracle, her two boyfriends, with the way she responded to Ebuka.

On Tuesday, she revealed to fellow housemate, Alex that Miracle has been angry with her because of her response to Ebuka.

She further explained to Alex that, “I could not call Miracle my boyfriend because I did not want to disrespect Collins. But now I feel bad.

“I would have told Ebuka Miracle was my boyfriend and that I love him.

“I wish Ebuka would ask me same question next Sunday so that I’ll correct myself.”

In the reality show, Miracle and Nina had shared kisses, had showers together and at least. cuddle every night, with something that looks like actual sex.

Alex, however, advised Nina to keep her relationship to herself and stop giving people what to talk about.

She said, “When you are asked about your relationship with Miracle, reply from your heart. Tell them what you want to tell them.”

Alex told her she should not be fast in responding to such questions because she doesn’t know what may happen outside the show.

She added that, “It may be that you have no relationship again outside. And you never can tell if you and Miracle would continue.”

The Big Brother Naija 2018 live eviction show has ended and the Housemates up for possible eviction have been revealed.

Five housemates are up for possible eviction come Sunday.

Today, instead of the regular nominations, the housemates played a game to determine the new Head of House and the HoH picked a chance card to reveal who will be up for evictions.

The winner of the HoH challenge was Alex.

Alex picked chance card 5 which placed everyone up for eviction except the HoH, HoH’s choice and the person that was fourth in the qualifier challenge, which was Lolu.

Alex picked Tobi as the housemate to be saved from eviction.

The final housemates up for eviction are: Cee-C, Miracle, Lolu, Anto and Khloe.

President Muhammadu Buhari has left Nigeria for an official visit to the UK, where he is expected to hold discussions on Nigeria–British relations with Prime Minister Theresa May, prior to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meetings (CHOGM) scheduled for April 18-20, 2018.

He will also meet with the Chief Executive Officer of Royal Dutch Plc, Ben van Beurden, in connection with Shell and other partners’ plan to invest $15b in Nigeria’s oil industry.

The President's personal assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmed made the announcement via his Twitter handle with a video of Buhari boarding his presidential jet.

He wrote:

"President @MBuhari departs Abuja for an official visit to the United Kingdom where he will hold discussions on Nigeria – British relations with Prime Minister Theresa May, prior to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meetings scheduled for 18th to 20th April, 2018."

Recall that Alex, Cee-c, Nina, Miracle, Lolu, Rico were nominated for eviction.

Rico got the lowest votes from viewers and that ended his stay in the show.

Outside the house, Rico told show host, Ebuka, that his perspective in the #BBNaija House was to have fun. He also says that over-time he developed feelings for Ahneeka but Angel wanted her more.

Evicted Big Brother Naija 2018 housemate,Bambam, has said she will handle rumours of her sex with Teddy A as a process in her life.

Bambam and Teddy A who were shown the way out of the reality show on Saturday and Sunday respectively were few weeks ago caught having sex in the toilet.

Viewers showed diverse reactions to the sex scene, with some describing the act as a show of shame.

Bambam in a online video, said although the duo were caught, she will not allow the scandal get to her. She said what took place in the house already happened and it is a story she will stick to.

She said, ”So far, anyone that has a victory story has a process, and I will go through it, I will just deal with it for what it is.”

”What took place in the house already happened, That is my story and I am sticking to it, I wont let it get to me cause it is just a process.”

”We are both going to focus on our career and move on.”

Asked about her parents’ reactions, Bambam said although her parents were mad at her for her actions they are still proud of her.

Evicted Big Brother Naija 2018 housemate, Bambam, has predicted who will win the reality show.

Bambam’s eviction on Saturday came as a shock to viewers, who were expecting one of the contestants to leave on Sunday during the usual live show. It also left the housemates stunned and emotional.

Bambam, who admitted that her eviction came as a shock, predicted fellow housemate, Miracle to win the N45m prize.

She said although Biggie is full of surprises, Miracle will likely win the cash prize.

According to her, ”I’m calm now. Last night I was shocked. I didn’t see it coming.

While many Nigerian women would say what matters most in a romantic relationship is money, fast-rising Nollywood actress, Jemima Osunde, says good sex matters most to her.

In an interview with Broadway TV, the actress was asked to choose between a rich man that is not good in bed and a poor man that is good in bed, and she wasted no time in declaring that she would choose a man with unrivaled sexual prowess over a rich one, as she would want maximum sexual satisfaction from him.


“I don’t plan to be broke myself, yeah, so a man good in bed is for me not his money, let him give me what I can’t give myself,” she said.

On what she thinks about people comparing her to popular actress, Adesua Etomi Wellington, The undergraduate of physiotherapy at the College of Medicine, Lagos, said she sees nothing bad in the comparison and will be grateful to have her life turn out like Adesua’s.

Nigerian-born British boxer, Anthony Joshua will be up against New Zealand fighter, Joseph Parker on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.

Joshua had yesterday weighed 17st 4lbs ahead of the heavyweight showdown.

Both fighters will be putting their unbeaten records on the line in front of 80,000 fans in Cardiff, Wales.

Their heavyweight world title belts will also be on the line.

While the 26-year-old Parker is putting his WBO belt on the line, Joshua, 28, is defending his WBA and IBF titles in a winner-takes-all fight.

Joshua had successfully defended his titles against Carlos Takam at the same venue.

Joshua and Parker will take to the ring by 10:30pm.
