Career / Re: Varying Salaries In Different Fields by blackninja(m): 8:48am On Oct 24, 2007
tkb417:

@Bigtee
which of the consulting firms do you work with?
the range i put is 120-150K.
@easybabe
don't mind him. someone even said, we have some consulting firms that pay 45k per month. so as u said, der are consulting firms, der are consulting firms.

@Poster
Banks should be like 70-150k per month.
And somebody shouldnt come out and say he works in a bank that pays 72k o.

@tbk417

Ur estimate of 120k - 150k for consulting firms is wrong and misleading to reader. I cant believe that u think an entry level customer service person will be paid 120k to 150k, obviously u dont work for a consulting firm otherwise you would know that consultants in Nigeria just carry the BIG international names of their companies but their pay are not comensurate with the big name and the work they do.

Before u get defensive, i'm referring to the likes of Accenture, PriceWaterHouse and KPMG. Incase u dont know, you must be at least a Manager in any of these three BIG consulting firms to earn the BIG BUCKS!

If tbk417 wants phone numbers of people in Accenture, PWC and KPMG, i'm willing to supply names and numbers he can call to verify.

Cheers!
TV/Movies / Re: TV Shows: Prison Break, Lost Or 24? by blackninja(m): 8:10am On Sep 04, 2007
Michael Scofield VERSUS Jack?

No controversy, i give it to PRISON BREAK. I couldn't even watch 2 seasons in 24! Personally, after Prison Break, i prefer LOST to 24 but PRISON BREAK is just d BOMB!

Cheers!
Romance / Re: Would You Engage In Distant Relationship by blackninja(m): 5:10pm On Jul 27, 2007
Hello People,

I just read a few posts and i thought i should share my thoughts with the house. I believe very strongly that distant relationships can work but permit me to add here that it takes both parties to make it work.

There has to be some high level of openness and tranparency amongst d couples. I'm talking from very good expereince because i have gone out with my girlfriend now for 3 years. I work in a good firm here in Lagos while she lives with her parents in Akure but schools in Ekiti State. To those who think we may break up anytime soon, i wish to hint you that we are getting married in March next year.

All doubting Thomas can mail me their emails and i promise to drop you a Wedding Invitation card! grin
Romance / Re: What Pet Name/Names Do You Call Your Lover? by blackninja(m): 5:01pm On Jul 27, 2007
Hi Pinky,

I sort of like your topic! For me i call my girlfriend "Little Angel". I can't even remember when last i called her by her real name except if i'm upset with her and that doesn't usually happen so often.

My mum still calls my Dad by the pet name "Mine", even in public and they have been married for 30 years.
Car Talk / Re: Manual Drives Vs Automatic Drives In Cars: Which Is Better? by blackninja(m): 4:46pm On Jul 27, 2007
For me, an Automatic car is d best thing in d world. However i agree completely that your location matters reason being that if you are located in Lagos then you shouldn't be in a hurry to get a Manual gear except if you are looking at using the car as a form of exercise to build some muscles.

I dont agree that Automatics are for lazy people, i have driven tboth of them and my experience a night i got stuck on Lagos - Ibadan Express road for 13hours in a Manual transmission car was the worst nightmare of my life.

So, i will advice you to consider your location and choose wisely!

Romance / Re: Why Did You Break Up With Your Ex? by blackninja(m): 7:38pm On Jul 26, 2007
People,

My Ex broke up with me and she didn't give me any tangible reason. The only thing that looked close to a reason that she gave was that she just does not feel the way i felt for her.

However some days back after a year plus, she said she had some spritual problems and was afraid it might affect me so she had to let me go, so that she wouldn't hurt me becos she wuldn't be able to forgive herself if anything happened to me.
Romance / Re: My Boyfriend Apparently Wants To Marry This Other Girl by blackninja(m): 6:48pm On Jul 26, 2007
People,

I guess i was a little dissapointed at some of the responses i read up till i saw Seun's response on this topic. I wonder why people think she can fake loving him asnd just tag along with the plan all in the name of getting a GREEN CARD.

Young lady, if you love your life you will flee now that you still have the time. Like Seun adviced, it doesn't have to be loud and rowdy - you can break up with him amicably and move on with your life.

My only worry is that you sound like you have given the GREEN CARD gist a thought and now you are caught in a web of indecision. In summary, its purely your call - the decision is yours to make.

Kind regards
