Politics / Re: MEND Writes An Open Letter To Nigerian Soldiers by bombay: 10:48pm On Jun 11, 2009
Hello guys i wrote a topic on this some time ago but no one cared to read it.
The title was the solution to the niger delta problem.
This battle cannot be won by using guns alone at least am happy some one out there read it.
This battle can be won idealogically and am happy that they are seeing the light now.
They need a strong political wing and this battle does not just belong to the ijaws alone this battle is for everyone in the Niger Delta we
have to come together as one unit and one voice.
It is said in the bible when we all unite who can come against us no one.
The other tribes should come together to make the dream a reality.
Mend can cannot win this battle alone.
Long live Niger Delta
Politics / Re: North Tightens Its Stranglehold On The South - Looks To Take Over Igp Position by bombay: 5:35pm On Jun 11, 2009
The rest of Nigeria is daft no plan that is why the north will alway trump the rest of the country.
Our elder states men have no plan or focus.
Greedy and daft.
This so called elders from the other parts of NIgeria are just plain stupid.
All they do is shout no focus and plan all they want is that they should be handed everything you have to fight for anything you want.
Stop screaming the about the north they are just smart and they know what they want.
The rest of Nigeria is sleeping why the north is moving forward.

This people screaming they have never seen development is it not your right to get this level of development.
Due to the long suffering most minds have been wopped to scream at every little thing they see.
You people should stop screaming and let the chap work or have you people forgotten the Nigeran mentality praise do go to the head.
I trust my pips they know how to spoil a good thing.
Big up and stay calm.

Politics / Re: Obama To Visit Ghana, 6 Other African Nations And Not Nigeria by bombay: 4:57pm On Jun 11, 2009
You guys should stop all the nonsense about obama not visiting our mother land.
There is no big deal about it he can go to Ghana no problem with that.
Lets be realistic about it you people should stop shouting obama obama he his not coming to Nigeria
Let him goto Ghana great i wish them the best.
This is our country and we should stop degrading it.
You people are the ones spoiling this country with all your irrelevant noise.
If you people promote the goodness of Nigeria it will be better than shouting wolf.
We agree our system is not perfect yet but we will get there and there is nothing any one can do about it.
You people forget we are a very competitive nation always striving for the best.
So what Ghana has started by competing with Nigeria i hope they can keep it up.
Obama great guy but he his not the saviour.

Politics / Solution To The Niger Delta Problem by bombay: 12:18am On May 29, 2009
The solution is very simple when they say the pen is mighter than the gun it is true.
My solution is this.
The aggrieved communities should build a case with valid evidence and proof.
The communities should present the written  memorandum of understanding between the said oil companies and the host communities.
And let us see where the latter has failed in meeting the agreement and if found wanting the next step is to prepare a case against them and file it in the Hague,USA and UK.
The oil companies will pay compensation which will be used to develop the host communities.
This has been done in Alaska so many times so i see no reason why it should not work in Niger Delta.
The money should not be given to any individual but it most be paid to foreign commission that will over look the development of the said communities involved in the dispute.

Please add to this so that we can make a difference.
Battles are won with pen not guns
Politics / Re: Arewa Backs Action In Delta, S'south Alleges Genocide by bombay: 12:00am On May 29, 2009
The military should make sure that they arrest  all those miscrants masquerading as freedom fighters.
Ask youself who causes the spillage in the creeks it is the people.
The very avenue for employment they have destroyed
Foreign investment to the state they have destroyed the chances.
The said oil companies am not saying they are saints but boy it is better to dine with devil than the angel you do not know.
Politics / Re: Quit Pretending, Lets Divide Nigeria, We Aint One: Period! by bombay: 11:31pm On May 28, 2009
True but you see the person that made that statement has come out to appologies for making such a remark which is the right thing to do.
We are still a young country with time things will change as you can see things are already getting better.
Look at the case of lagos state if all other states in Nigeria emulate lagos state do you think people will talk about the federal government No.
There will be a time when we all will appreciate this things happenning in nigeria now because it will make us a better nation in future.
Let me tell you something in a family there is always the favourite child but he his the one that messes up the most.
Calm down we have to appreciate that we are Nigerians with a very bright future ahead of us.
This countries we are looking upto did not start to develope socially until after the 2nd world war.
Nigeria is on the right track soon the old guards will pass away and we will have more people like fashola even better than him running the affairs of Nigeria.

If you as a citizen of a country say enough is a enough what do you think will happen. You guys here are blabbing your mouth and shouting insults.
Sometimes i feel some people here are not educated and cannot reason. Some times t think some people here their brain does not engage befor they speak.

Politics / The Citizens Are The Problem Of Nigeria Not The Government by bombay: 2:54am On May 28, 2009
Our fellow country men the way they  think is very low and shallow. We expect the government to do everything if possible get our wives pregnant and spoon feed us because it is our right. We do not want to contribute to the well being and development of our beloved country.
The government is trying we must not fail to appreciate that.It is not easy to rule a country like Nigeria we are very unruling and we lack manners and decorum.
We have the habit of blaming others for our misfortune, we fail to realise that things don't work out all the time if you fail you try again. You keep trying till you succeed.
We lack planing and forsight.
The basic infrastructures have been provided by the government roads, power not to the fullest capacity but can be improved and industries.
The problem is the citizens all we care about is our selfish interest. The government cannot do everything we have a responsibility to make sure what has been provided we look after it.
Remember Nigeria is still very young it takes time to get to the level of the western world.
A child has to crawl before it can start running.
Nigerians have been brainwashed to think manna will fall from heaven without hard work the Israelites worked hard in the wilderness before manna fell from heaven.
The key to build Nigeria is hard work.
PLEASE STOP BASHING MY COUNTRY NIGERIA.
I LOVE NIGERIA
ONE NIGERIA
WE WILL GET THERE GRADUALLY
Religion / Re: God Said Nigeria Will Be The Greatest Nation In The World - Adeboye by bombay: 4:22pm On Dec 12, 2007
Nigeria's problem stems from this so called religious crap.
Work hard and do what is right and forget all this so called prophesies.
They collect your hard earned money every week and they tell you what you want to hear.
Nigerians are very stupid they don't want to work but they want miracle to happen over night.
How long have they been say all this and you guys still belive them.
A word is enough for the wise.

Religion is a tool for mind control and oppression.

Nigerians should open there eyes and see who is actually against them.

If you open a church today i gurantee you next thing people will see is that you are driving the latest model of car while your flock are in abject poverty.

Na who wise pass you or the pastor.

Who be the mugu you or the pastor.

Religion is a scam of the highest order.

If not for religion nigeria would have progressed further than it is today.

They use religion to blind our eyes.

Shine your eye.

Politics / Re: Senate Rejects Transfer Of Bakassi To Cameroun by bombay: 8:40pm On Nov 23, 2007
A - A judgement has been passed by the ICJ, which should be respected by the parties, because they are signatories and the ICJ has jurisdiction in the dispute.

B - The senate should let the matter be as it is no matter how painful it is to all.

C- If the previous govt (not only OBJ as he didnt act alone) was found to have acted unconstitutionally they should be held accountable.

Are you sure you are a Nigerian at all, I don't think so.

Look at what you are saying that (A judgement has been passed by the ICJ, which should be respected by the parties, because they are signatories and the ICJ has jurisdiction in the dispute) well i wish you were among the the people displaced by this you will not be aying what you are say.

You have shown that you as an individual do not understand world politics.

This is a slap on the face of Nigeria and Nigerians in general.

ICJ does it have a copy of the constitution of the Federal Republic Nigeria.

ICJ was there when we were fighting for our independence.

ICJ will take care of the people that their land has been taken away from them and rendered homeless.

Why not take shell, chevron to ICJ so that they will repair the environmental damages they have caused to the costal communities.

People like you support what they do not understand.

You will sell your birth right to please the western world.

Don't mention this crap you are say outside you will be pulmented with stones. grin

@ iykrion, the time for a referendum has passed.

Very funny you will not diginify my post who wants you to dignify my post.
People like you Fela spoke about them
Fear to make the right decision,Fear to speak the truth.
You will rather support a foreign nation to sabotage your father land.
This is one thing that will bring the whole of nigeria together to fight a common enermy. We will use them as an example.
I bet you are a yoruba man.
Always afraid and very crafty.
You think you know it all.
Some one like you when they ask where are you from you will deny that you are nigerian.
