The Igbos are the most tribalistic set of people that I have ever met in my life.
They see religion and tribal origin before they see the human. They are consumed by these 2 factors.
No matter where they live on Earth, there first enquiry to a y fellow Nigerian is "what tribe you belong to, then your religion "
Very pathetic set of neanderthal sub human animals still stuck in the thinking of past centuries. Spit

It means you really do not know the Ibos. You are only playing out the evil stories your forefathers handed over to you, and unfortunately, you are already passing the same bad blood to your lineage.

Imagine them asking the Senate to recognize a useless coward who couldn't summon the courage to announce MKO as the winner even when small university students took to the street to face the military.

Trying to turn history on its head to paint Nwosu as a hero should be gazette as the peak fooling of year 2025.

So we are then right to call Tinubu, Wole Soyinka and co. cowards for running away to form NADECO outside the country to fight the military.

Senators that actually spoke against it are all Yoruba. If Humphrey Nwosu didn't announce the result, how did they know MKO ABIOLA won?

See the way they reason against IGBOs and you tell me NIGERIA is not wired for destruction?

Anyway, MKO ABIOLA, a known coup plotter is a DEMOCRACT but Humphrey Nwosu the INEC chairman that kept announcing results even under duress is irrelevant abi?

In an Election adjudged to be the freest and fairest?

Please Immortalize Yakubu..

ZOO Politicians grin

You can imagine, how did we know MKO Abiola won the elections if they were announced? I only hope those Senators of Ibo extraction can now see the game being played in the National Assembly. When they join others to malign their people's interests because money has been shared amongst them, they shouldn't expect sympathy when cases like this come up.

Bwala is not wrong.

Peter Obi that had Abacha as boss and mentor is trying to preach democracy that the likes of Saro-Wiwa, Tinubu, Onanuga, Ibrus, Abiola e.t.c the fought for. Lol.

You just insulted Ken Saro Wiwa by mentioning Tinubu's name beside his as a fighter for democracy. That you were not even decent enough to mention Sowore shows you don't know those that fought for this democracy.

You will be shocked to note that this is the situation in 90% of the public universities in Nigeria. Let's do a 30-day challenge of #operationshowyourrestrooms on social media showing the living conditions students have to cope with, all this nonsense will change immediately.
If you don't call the authorities out, they won't do anything. Yet some will call private universities secondary schools. This is a shame.

Let the competition continue—Dangote should eliminate all these importers by dropping the price to N650. That way, the importers will have no choice but to buy from him until it becomes cheaper to import. smiley

Instead of saying "eliminating the importers", let us lay emphasis on making all refineries work. This will ensure competition across board. We don't want a situation where Dangote will drive everybody away and then start increasing his prices once again.

Good day, all. I need assistance on how to retrieve the official LinkedIn account of my office from a staff member who just left the organization and did not release the password to me after I took over as head of the unit. I have written to him, and he said the account was deactivated when he left. I still see the organization's LinkedIn page, but no updates can be made since we do not have access to it. I even gone as far as sending message to LinkedIn to no avail

Please, anyone with useful information on how I can get through successfully should kindly guide me. Thank you.

I was only reading how T.Y Danjuma quashed the Dimka coup of February 1976 from Bonny Camp; how he sent IBB to take over Radio Nigeria where Dimka had captured after killing Murtala...

How he didn't take control of the country in the melee that followed but allowed the No 2 man at the time, the then Lt Gen Olusegun Obasanjọ step into power while Lt. Col Yar'adua was doubly promoted to Brigadier General as Obasanjo's deputy.

TY Danjuma later went on to develop a lifelong relationship with Obasanjo, and was Minister for Defence in Obasanjo's first term.

To imagine that such a celebrated man is faced with so much troubles as he has had to deal with in the farmer-herder clashes and this telecomms business deal apparently shows that power and loyalty can be so transcient...

You didn't also read how he led the guys that assassinated Ironsi and Fajuyi?

Just look at that crowd and imagine what the society and the world at large will be like if the participants practicalize all what they have been taught in their various field of endeavour. Until the church begins to teach its members that the world will be better if they practice what they preach, the much needed revival will still be a wild goose chase.

The residential and roaming plans are currently suspended in Nigeria for new customers due to the price increase Starlink is trying to implement but the business plan is still available and you can still order for a Starlink kit under the business plan option on Starlink official website for NGN626,300 (amount is for a new standard actuated kit NGN590,000 + NGN36,300 shipping and handling fee). But i will only advise you to go for the business plan if you know you can afford the 159,000 monthly business plan subscription fee and also have it in mind that soon there is surely going to be a price increase on all Starlink subscription plans.

This is so enlightening. Thanks for the detailed explanation.

Racoon, did traveling to UNGA start under this government? Did seeking for foreign aids start under this government?

What precise issue do you have with his Excellency statement?

Opposition don't mean you should be opposing even when it's not making any sense like your comments above

Everytime someone picks holes in your president's actions, you will respond by asking, "if it started with this government". Your president shouldn't have made that statement if he is not ready to work his talk. He was elected, albeit to stop the mistakes or errors of past administration and not to continue suit.
So far, President Tinubu has not demonstrated that he is ready to do things differently from what others had done. Stop the excuses and get to work.

It's not ember month na.. Why is the rate of road crashes going high like this.

God have mercy upon everyone reading this, including their friends and family

Road crashes have nothing to do with the so-called "ember months". It has much to do with irresponsible and immature minds behind the steering. You see people who don't go through proper and adequate driving lessons before jumping at the steering. Many people behind the steering have never read the highway code; they don't know or understand road signs. They don't even understand the car they are driving not to talk of the parts of the car. People will just get into a car, do a little drive around within their compound and zoom unto the road without understanding that driving goes beyond you but includes those in the same vehicle as you and others outside. Very shameful!!! How can you not slow down at a road bend? Some others will just move into the road without checking if another car or so is coming behind. Such irresponsibility everywhere. So sad for the family of the driver who died.

So what is the benefit of Nigeria, if electricity is taxed to the roof. I think it will reach a point where people will disconnect from the grid.

A lot of the man's supporters aren't complaining because many are connected to the mains as they can't afford to pay the high tariffs.

Same here, you must be under ikedc right?
I use 5k daily ie 22 units on band A ie if I manage it well.
I sorry for business owners right now. The Chinese guys in my office premises I once wrote about that opened a nylon making factory and poached all the workers in the neighbourhood, I hear just laid off half their workers. Hear their monthly electricity bill runs into 30m+.
The event center and mini hotel next door is contemplating shut down as their bill is about 7m.
Imagine a whole UCH Ibadan has not had electricity for 2 months because their bill is over 400m and rising.
Bros, very few business can operate with such high cost of power. Solar is not an option because the cost of setting up solar to run a 30 room hotel will be crazy, not to talk of changing all the ACs to inverter units.
This people are killing the economy gradually.

Are you kidding me? UCH, Ibadan has not had light for 8 months not 2.
Politics / Re: Did Discos Quietly Increase Tariffs?! (Screenshots) by bong4(m): 3:36pm On Feb 02

Ok.. I just observed a drastic reduction in the Units given when I purchased electricity from AEDC. (See screenshots - the first shot was the unit given in Dec for same amount 73.4kwh, but now drastically reduced to 36.7kwh (100% reduction)

Did anyone observe this..

I thought maybe they changed my Band, so I went to their website to check the meter status. But it was the same Band B.

Just for context, the 5k loaded above would last for one week previously but now it would last for 3 days because of the 100% increment in cost. In a flat with few modest electronics, no ACs running. What that mean is that we would pay close to 50k before the end of the month. Previously 20-25k.

The thing is the surreptitious way they executed this.. no noise made, no announcements, just booooom, like a thief in the night.

With everything Nigerians are currently going through, this is heartless and insensitive on the part of everyone involved in this backdoor Tariff increment.. from the DISCos to the Regulators to those making this draconian policies, that seek to sniff life out of average Nigerians.

I live in Ile Ife. On May 29, 2024, I bought #10,000 and I got 168 units. The same #10,000 gave me 326 units before that. I used the units I purchased in May till December 9th, 2024. I don't use much power except ironing and pumping water. I even switch off when going out and return late in the evening.
I bought #5000 on December 9th, 2024, and was given 68 units. I used till 20th December 2024, travelled and returned in January 2025 and used till 27th January 2025 when the units finished.

I bought another #5000 worth only to be given 22 units meaning in just a month #5000 worth of power has reduced from 68 units to 22 units.
I had to buy #10,000 worth on Friday to keep just in case, only to observe that it is now 44 units. Something that was giving above 300 units. What is the rationale used to justify this increment?
