1) Size:

One of the best features of a laptop is its ability to slip into a laptop bag and travel anywhere in the world with you. If you are concerned with portability, your best bet is to look at laptops with a smaller screen size and thin, lightweight design.

You can go for a screen between 12 and 14 inches, and a weight of about 2kg or less.

2) RAM (Random Access Memory)

It is very very key to how a computer perform especially if you do lots of multitasking on your laptop e.g. editing photos, using microsoft packages, running special application softwares and browsing the web all at once. Without enough RAM in your PC to process these tasks and more, your experience will be slow, difficult, and in some cases, lead to a major system crash due to overload.

In simpler terms, the more RAM you have, the faster your laptop will be able to access data and the more applications you can run smoothly at any one time. If you ask me, 4GB should be your minimum take. If you still use some hih-power software, you should go for 8GB minimum.

3) Screen Quality

If you are like most of us, you'll probably be staring into your laptop screen for hours everyday. High-end laptops have screens with the highest quality. Only the screens with a resolution higher than 1920x1280 qualify as high-end. However, 1920x1080 is full HD screen. Laptops with this resolution or more will give you great image quality and plenty of room to keep your windows in view.

So make sure you go for a laptop that is easy on the eyes. Glossier screens tend to reflect surrounding light, so keep that in mind. Touch screen laptops will often have a glossy screen, so weigh up the pros and cons.


4) Battery Life

Again, If portability is important to you (even if that means transporting your laptop from your desk to your bed), battery life is something worth considering.

The reality of a laptop's battery life is often quite different to what it says on the box. variables such as screen brightness and the types of programs you run will affect how long the battery lasts.

Instead of focusing on the number of hours the manufacture quotes, look at the rating of the battery in Watt-hours (Wh) or Milliamp-hours (mAh). The bigger the number, the more the battery life.


5) CPU

Think of the CPU (Central Processing unit) as the heart of your laptop. When it comes to CPU, you can't get much better than intel's core-based range. New laptops will most likely contain core i3, core i5, or core i7.

You will find core i3 in entry-level laptops. You will find core i5 in the majority of mid-range laptops. You will find core i7 in higher end laptops.

6) Memory drives (Storage)

Storage drive allows you to permanently store data, so it's available each time you turn on the computer. Because handling data and information is crucial, it is important to select the best data storage device possible. The ideal device should not only store your data but also be capable of distributing it.

You need to consider not just the amount of storage but also the type, capacity, access times, data safety etc

It used to be hard disk drives then but with slimmer, lighter laptops in vogue, solid state drives have come to play and also evolved in form factor just like the hard drives.

Users often yearn for solid state drives because it is undoubtedly faster, quieter and obviously costlier. So you got to "choose your choose"

7) USB Ports

USB 3.0 ports are a must-have on any laptop you want to buy if you want to plug in and use peripheral devices, such as external drives, mouse, and keyboards..

However, some new devices don't include USB 3.0 ports, including the new Macbook Pros. Keep this in mind before going ahead to purchase.

2. Paying too much:

Conversely, the most expensive laptops might tick every box, but if you pay for features or hardware you don’t need, you’re just wasting your money.
You simply left an empty space non-utilized but paid for.

Gaming laptops can be notoriously expensive, but you don’t need all that hardware if you’re only playing water games. Buy what you need, and try not to go overboard.


3. Buying a laptop “for today”:

4) Won’t bitcoin fall in a deflationary Spiral?

Deflationery spiral says that if prices are expected to fall, people will move purchases into the future in order to benefit from the lower prices. That fall in demand will in turn cause merchants to lower their prices to try and stimulate demand; making the problem worse and leading to economic depression. Just like consumer electronics, this spiral not the case of Bitcoin because the prices have risen over time and yet the BTC economy has grown along with it. To buttress further, the value and size of its economy started at zero in 2009, so BTC is a counter example to the theory showing that it may sometimes be wrong.

Notwithstanding this, Bitcoin is not designed to be a deflationary currency. So, it is more accurate to say that BTC is intended to inflate in its early years and become stable in later years. The only time I think that the quantity of BTC in circulation will drop is if people, carelessly loose their wallets by failing to make backups.

5) Is Speculation and Volatility not a problem for Bitcoin?

For bitcoins to stabilize, large scale economy needs to develop with more businesses and users. For that to happen, businesses and users seek for price stability.
Fortunately, volatility will not affect the main benefits of the bitcoin as a payment system to transfer money from point A to point point B. It is possible for businesses to convert BTC payments to their local currency instantly, allowing them to profit from the advantages of the bitcoin without being subjected to price fluctuations. Since the bitcoin offers many useful and unique features and properties, many users will choose to use the BTC with such solutions and incentives. It is possible that the BTC will mature and develop to a degree where the price volatility will become limited.

6) What if someone bought up all existing bitcoins?

Only a fraction of BTC issued to date are found under the exchange markets for sale. BTC markets are competitive which means that the price will rise or fall depending on supply and demand. Additionally, new bitcoins will continue to be issued for decades to come. Therefore, even the most determined buyer could not buy all the BTC in existence.
The situation isn’t to suggest however that the markets ain’t vulnerable to market manipulations. It still doesn’t take a lot of money to move the markets up or down and thus BTC remains a volatile asset thus far.

7) What if someone creates a better digital currency?

Well, for me, anything is possible. Infact, there are thousands or more cryptocurrencies than the BTC. For now, BTC remains the most popular, decentralized virtual currency. But there can’t be no guarantee that it could retain that position.
It is however correct to assure that significant improvements will be required for a new currency to overtake the bitcoin in terms of established markets even though this remains highly unpredictable. BTC could also conceivably adopt improvements of a competitive currency so long as it doesn’t change the fundamental part of the protocol.

Are cryptocurrencies simply not reversals to the barter system?

Well, It is in a nutshell because essentially, we are providing services and goods to the system of the economy and receiving goods and services in return except that we are monetizing the value of these goods and services in a new form of cryptocurrency. It may sound like the barter system, but it is not much different than the system before today. We are using a common unit of value to quantify and validate different goods and services. *STOP THAT DAMN LOCAL CHAT BACKUP WASTING MY TIME AND DATA!!! GOD DAMN IT!!:

I know how disturbing and annoying it can be when you just want to hit that invisible "STOP" button on your phone to save your data (mb) or keep your work uninterrupted by the local Whatsapp backup everyday at midnight (mostly 2AM) but CANNOT.... Very ANNOYING! I can understand but GOOD NEWS is here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When you go to whatapp settings >> Chat >> Chat backup and open, you will see "Local" and "Google drive".

"Local" is often set to backup by default at midnight (2AM mostly). You cannot adjust it to when you want except using a TRICK! while
"Google back up can be set to anytime you want it (daily, weekly, monthly or never) by clicking on “Backup to google drive” .

NOW HERE IS THE TRICK!: It seems that we can “somehow” trick the app so it cannot create local backup files automatically.

1) Download a good file manager if your phone has none (e.g total commander, X-plore etc). Install it. Go to your internal storage>> Whatsapp/Whatsapp business folder>>
2) Open the "Databases" folder.
3) Save/move the file (msgstore.crypt12 file) you see inside to any other place (PC or external hard drive).
4) Delete the "Databases" folder
5) Create New Folder. (X-file or zip file if you are using X-plore file manager)
6) Rename the file to just "Databases". (Remove the ".txt" or ".zip" extension). YOU ARE DONE!!

**Notice that it does not allow the back up process to take place anytime it starts. it simply changes to Local Whatsapp back up under settings to "NEVER'

Always be objective! regardless of the circumstance. However, good relationship can never be annuled in applying discretion especially when you are in the position to assist even if it is for a 10th time.....
