You do know what happens when someone starts investigating you. They subpoena your electronics, search your house , drag you before a grand jury for days on end accompanied by your lawyer etc They basically drain you and a jury full of your type finds you guilty.

That's what happend to Gerald and Wendy Wood. Except they weren't guilty because there was no evidence suggesting they were guilty. And they might sue the culprit Peters who stole and used their identity, and recoup some of what they lost.

The state called Gerald and Wendy Wood as witnesses against Peters. Peters was convicted of using Gerald Wood's ID badge to give access to Mike Lindell's associate to election files. When the story first broke, many people in the community thought he was involved since Peters stole his identity. His wife Wendy was upset that Peters continues to lie about his involvement and has never apologized or shown any remorse.

Gerald spoke about his reputation being ruined and his house repeatedly being searched by law enforcement with all his electronic items seized for years. He noted that anyone who Googles his name will think he was a notorious criminal even though he was only a victim. He also talked about how much money Peters has raised and continues to take in from GiveSendGo and book deals off the case, while she continues to appear on right-wing podcasts to make solicitations.

I dey PH but if I vote for this election, make my left leg become my right hand. After the mess the last presidential election became, I am not sure I will ever bother myself about Nigerian elections again.

This is the sort of complacency that let less than 9 million out of 94 million registered voters elect the current president.

Don't bother. You will buy petrol for ₦100 a litre while only those who bother will buy there's for ₦2k

We all know government does not obey the law, and shows we still need to fight to ensure Justice Evelyn Maha of a Federal High Court in Abuja's order restrains them.

Perhaps its time for #EndVIO.

What character exactly when we know no politician is a choir boy except those who lie about who they are

This, I guess, is why non-choir boy Tinubu is our president of Nigeria. And the fact we didn't care about character is the reason we are rejoicing now, I suppose.

Anyone can choose to pick any way of life they want as long as they are in the majority which is what democracy is about

Will of the people for the people

Except the will of the people may oppose my body my choice.

All the majority can decide is whether I my choice in a state where their choice opposes my choice. And in this instance, unless the majority want to handmaid tail me, they can't exactly stop me travelling out of their state to go and my choice elsewhere. They can throw me in jail when I return of course, but I don't think any politician in any state would survive their jails being full of abortees.

Xavier5:

But here's the fact, America's democracy have been winning over its opposing systems and will continue to win. Why? Because Americans are one, committed to progress. Two, Americans, are patriotic, and thirdly, Americans love their liberty, and will fight through tooth and nail to ensure that. And by Americans, I mean liberals, conservatives and independents. Yes, there are very few bad eggs, but hey, good luck with them going against the vast majority.
Basically, Americans are not complacent, as I said.

Xavier5:
America's democracy will crumble if and only if Americans let it, but due to the mentioned, such will not happen, be it or now or the future. I don't see any cause for alarm.
As in, if Americans become complacent, which is unlikely.

Xavier5:
So all those noise about threat to democracy is just fear mongering propagated by certain groups. America's democratic and governmental institutions are strong, all thanks to patriotic, progress, and liberty loving Americans.
The fear mongering is indicative of a lack of complacency. Complacent people do not fear and therefore end up with weak institutions.

One just need compare to complacent Nigeria, where about 94 million registered to vote and less than 9 milion elected the president and about 20 million in total voted. That, is complacency. A malardy America does not suffer from, and the reason their democracy is strong.

Places like Kansas already put it on the ballot and it won. Let every state decide through the ballot what they want

Kansas put Handmaids Tale on the ballot, and it was rejected as people voted against it.

That's a win for my body my choice.

Trump has directly and indirectly destroyed many gullible lives. Another MAGA slowpoke jailed.

She then claimed that everything she did was simply to prove that there was NOT election fraud and she was just trying to reassure people who thought that there were. This seemed pretty preposterous since she was one of the leading voices in the election fraud conspiracy movement almost from day one. Peters said if judge put her on probation and ordered her to stop talking about the 2020 election she would be willing to do that.

Basilico should try this as his argument if he ever got brought before a judge for his lies and baseless conspiracies. Be warned though, it failed.

No society loves Handmade Tails, and societies that have Handmade Tails imposed on them would never let their people vote.

Good thing America isn't that society, and will democratically reject dump, again.

Which s the point of the SCOTUS ruling. If more people feel like Melania then vote in their states and make it a law like Kansas did, If more people feel the opposite of what Melania feels then put it on ballot and outlaw abortion in their state

The beauty of democracy Each state decide your destiny

Actually, its each person decide their own destiny, unless you find it possible to create a Handmade Tails society where you get to monitor what women do and imprison the pregnant ones.

Personally, I love the Scotus decision on RvW, as its ensured liberals aren't complacent.

Exactly, Dems usually pick one of the smartest people on the Bench, Republicans still call them dumb, while Republicans pick people like Trump and Bush who are, well, not the smartest on their bench.

The election in November is a test to see how many are intelligent and wise and how many are ignorant and stupid.

I hope the intelligent and wise win.

I know Nigerians from the dust as you described them

Yeah. They are the most recognisable ones, and are likely the majority. They look like they are clothed but they wear no knowledge.

There are also some who eat every seed-bearing plant on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit contains seed. They can be recognised by the fact they are fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it and rule.

Women are naturally not long term supporters.

This must be the reason women carry babies in their belly for only 9 months and breastfeed for like only 2 years and then abandon their babies.

If women were natural long term supporters, grown men will be here praising their long term supporting women mothers, and would be looking to marry in the same vein as their more intelligent (than them) fathers.

This is a good post, but too complex for a lot of people on here.

Reminds me of John Kerry for president. He sounded so much like he was campaigning to post graduates that even undergrads didn't understand what the heck he was saying.

Dump, of course, tacked right, and talks hilly billy, and is 'understood' by deplorables. He says great but they know he means 'white'.
Romance / Re: Is It Easier For Men Or Women To Stay Child Free Over The Course Of Their Lives? by budaatum: 5:44pm On Oct 03
Its actually very easy for either sex not to have children. Just avoid having sex and you wouldn't be infected. But if you can't avoid sex, castration is always an option. Of more concern however is your short term love of your money and your view of children.

Children are like owning slaves. You may need to invest in them while they are young, but you reap the reward when they are older and can be sent out to work and bring back an income, some of which is yours. And that's apart from the growth they generate in you learning to breed them.

But don't let me derail your plans. Please make a note in your diary to update this thread when you are 30, and 40, and 50.

Some men are mummy's boys who never grow up to leave ma's apron strings.

Some men find themselves a woman they can trust and love and grow together.

And some men are just pigs that women should avoid.

Anyone who has their vehicle impounded should report to human rights activist and public interest attorney Abubakar Marshal so he can sue on your behalf.

Hopefully, he's wise enough to also sue for legal costs and punitive damages so you both can profit from VIOs illegality.

Stop playing and be serious

Some Nigerians are from the planet Mars, but you can't exactly tell because they look the same as the Nigerians from the dark side of the moon. Some are from inside the sun itself but wouldn't tell you because they don't want to share their light with you. And some are from the dust of the earth. These you'd easily notice because they are naked of intelligence because they don't nourish themselves with knowledge and are usually slaves to those with more knowledge than them.

Two, nothing will make Americans lose their power to vote, not now, not in the future, except you are trying to tell me that the democratic and governmental institution is weak. But, it's not, it's stronger than anyone, be it Trump or Kamala, so how will "we the people" lose the right and power to vote?

It is not Trump or Kamala that are looking to weaken the democratic and governmental institutions. One can't argue however that there aren't some (Thiel, Hamas, Putin, Rocket Man, China, etc), who will profit from such weakening, and are prepared to work towards weakening it by using the unaware trumps and kamalas.

The democratic and governmental institution will become weak when people become complacent. Thankfully, the constant resilience and strength I see encourages me.

I'm posting this for the attention of Xavier5 who sees no threat to democracy.

Personally, I don't think people waste $15m on nothing.

Why has Thiel been such a strong sponsor of Vance? Because Thiel sees in his protege a future leader of a political movement to turn the US away from democracy. “For Peter,” said one of the people familiar with his thinking, “Vance is a generational bet.”

Thiel is a self-styled libertarian who once wrote: “I no longer believe that freedom and democracy are compatible.”
