Hummmm. So that is all Jonathan can give us after so many promises on stable power supply? I will never mind those good for nothing who will still attack me in reminding the good people of Nigeria what they need to know.

Remember this before you vote.

NO Pastor, Imam, Babalawo, Oba, Obi, Emir, Obong, Chief, Militant etc can tell me who to vote for, NEVER!....

I bear the brunt of unemployment, not the Pastor....

I suffer epileptic power supply, not the Imams.....

When my landlord increases house rent, the Oba will not send me money to augment it.....
When medical bills needs to be paid, I won't see the Obi....

When armed robbers show up in my neighborhood, the Emir won't be there to rescue me...

When time comes to pay exorbitant private school fees for my children because public schools that produced the likes of Soyinka, Chinua Achebe are derelict, no Militant will come to my rescue...

The roads leading to Obong's palace are bad, he has not done anything about it, how can he help me?

Exchange rate has plumeted while the economy worsened yet the Babalawo suffers in silence with me ad he is unable to use his juju to make our economic problems disappear...

My siblings and the children of the Chief who are graduates for the past 8 years have remained unemployed while he is powerless to help them...

So I alone will decide WHO IS MAKING ME GO THROUGH ALL
THESE HARDSHIP, AND USING MY PVC TO TERMINATE HIS TENURE, IF I DON'T LIKE HIS POOR HANDLING OF GOVERNANCE!

Wise talk.
Celebrities / Bill Gates Vacations On A $300m Yacht by Burch(m): 8:29am On Aug 10, 2014
These days, Microsoft founder Bill Gates is
more concerned with helping to save the world than creating the next big gadget. But when the world’s richest man goes on vacation, he does it like no one else. The New York Daily News captured some photos of Gates aboard “The Serene,” a $330
million dollar yacht that Gates and his family
are renting for $5 million per week. Blogging Made Easy http:///1easyblogging In addition to its 12 staterooms, the 450-foot,
seven deck vessel also comes equipped with
its own saltwater pool, climbing wall, library,
health spa, outdoor theater and even a
nightclub spread out over the boat’s
combined 48,000 square feet. Though for all his wealth and influence, Gates
doesn’t actually own “The Serene.” He’s
renting it from Stolichnaya vodka distributor
Yuri Scheffler. The Russia-born Scheffler is an
interesting figure himself, famous for battling with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who tried to nationalize and “redistribute”
Stolichnaya’s wealth. According to Business Insider, Serene is the third most expensive yacht in the world. You
can check out a video of the yacht during a recent visit to California in 2012 that was
taken by a fellow, overwhelmed boater. Though he does not own a yacht himself,
Gates seems to be a fan of them. In 1994, he
was married about a yacht belonging to his
fellow Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. Allen
famously bought his own mega yacht a few
years ago for $200 million, the Octopus. Still, even if Gates doesn’t own his own yacht,
his choice of vacation rentals certainly trumps
that of Bill and Hillary Clinton, who were in
the spotlight on Friday after it was revealed
they were renting an $18 million Hamptons estate for about $30,000 per week. According to the Daily News, Gates and his
family regularly make use of the Serene’s on
board helicopter to travel for tennis matches
at the “billionaire’s playground” of nearby Porto Cervo, while the boat is stationed off the coast of Sardinia. And like Allen’s yacht,
the Serene also comes with its own
submarine. All in all, not a bad way to spend a few weeks
before getting back to reinventing the toilet
Religion / Re: Is Mary The Mother Of Christ Omnipresent? by Burch(m): 2:38pm On Jul 21, 2014
try69: Luke 15:7
New International Version
I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent

OP, are those in heaven omnipresent? I believe you are educated enough to understand the bible verse up there

Are you implying that every thing in heaven have equal value as God? And they all have the right to speak to God on our behalf?
Note that for them to rejoice may be subject to the information passed to them by God.
Religion / Is Mary The Mother Of Christ Omnipresent? by Burch(m): 12:09am On Jul 21, 2014
It is a known fact that God is omnipresent which makes it possible for any believer to call on him irrespective of his or her location and sure gets an answer or response to his or her call. But i also know (i stand to be corrected) that catholic believers also call on Holy Mary to pray for their sins and this request can be made from any location on earth which makes me conclude that she is omnipresent. Can someone help me explain this because i find it difficult to understand.

Politics / Obama’s $400,000 And The Jumbo Pay For Nigeria’s Legislators by Burch(m): 8:09am On Apr 15, 2013
President Barack Obama’s total pay last year was
$400,000, which is about $34,000 monthly. The pay package
of the world’s most powerful leader was revealed
Friday as America’s First Couple revealed their tax
filings for 2012.
With President Obama already pledging a 5 per
cent pay cut, the couple’s income will most likely
head southwards in 2013.
In Naira terms, Obama earns about N64million
yearly from his work as the President of the United
States of America, a country three-tenths the size
of the African continent.
The revelation immediately forces a comparison
with the obscenely jumbo pay Nigeria’s lawmakers
receive.
Nigerian senators currently draw a scandalous
N180 million illegal allowance each annually,
making them the world’s highest paid lawmakers.
This excludes their basic salary – a far lesser figure
-and essential allowances approved by the
Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal
Commission.
It also does not include allowances and estacodes
the senators draw while on committee work within
and outside the country.
A member of the House of Representatives also
receives N144 million as allowances.
The principal officers for the two chambers receive
far much more, with the Senate President said to be
drawing an allowance of N250 million every
quarter, making the allowances N1billion yearly.
Here is a full picture of the salary of the Nigerian
senator :
NIGERIAN SENATORS
Basic Salary (BS) = N2,484,245.50
Hardship Allowance: 50% of Basic Salary =
N1,242,122.75
Constituency allowance: 200% of BS =
N4,968,509.00
Furniture Allowance: 300% of BS = N7,452,736.50
Newspaper allowance: 50% = N1,242,122.70
Wardrobe allowance: 25% = N621,061.37
Recess Allowance: 10% = N248,424.55
Accommodation: 200% = N4,968,509.00
Utilities: 30% = N828,081.83
Domestic Staff: 35% = N863,184.12
Entertainment: 30% = N828,081.83
Personal Assistance: 25% = N621,061.37
Vehicle Maintenance Allowance: 75% =
N1,863,184.12
Leave Allowance : 10% = N248,424.55
One off payments (Severance gratuity): 300% =
N7,452,736.50
Motor Vehicle Allowance: 400% of BS =
N9,936,982.00
Total per month = N29, 479, 749.00
The issue still remains whether Nigeria’s
lawmakers can justify this payout in a country
ravaged by poverty, where more than 80 per cent
of the people live on less than a dollar a day.
Does anybody know the total emoluments for
Nigeria’s ministers and the President?

The economy rate is month watering because I use as little as 15litres to and from port harcourt/ owerri. Just to educate you on my experience with volvo. The choice is yours.

Sorry but thats the way it is...right from creation. Prof is a civil servant.. someone pays him! He's a servant working under authority! He has no right whatsoever to carry out such research in isolation.

If he must do it alone.. Fine! He can willingly resign and then, set up a private research laboratory... Remember, even the private labs are under authority.. There are regulations in the pharmaceutical/pharmacological sector (B.P)

He has every right to carry out any research in isolation but have to submit his findings to the right authorities for verifications.
