Wow... You would have been fine as you were still above the ITA cut off you were awarded with the recalculated points. What they would have done is recalculate your scores as 445. Does not count as misrepresentation. Seen a couple of people make same mistake.

All the best for the next draw.

Yeah, I guess so.

However, I don't feel bad about it because it gives me an extra month or two to get my finances in order and due to other commitments, we won't be able to relocate until late 2018 anyways. So the more time I can buy, the better.

Sorry about this. This is coming late...I want to believe you recalculated your points with the error to be sure that your points with the right years of experience (less than 3 years) falls below the cut off points when you got the ITA.

Thank you alt3r3g0
My points with the right years of experience (445) is lower than the points I got ITA with (470) but a lot higher than the cut off for the draw I got ITA with (415).

I can still get more than 3 years of experience but it would mean having to get references from another company. I do not want to go down that route.

If things go well and according to Canadavisa predictions, I should receive another ITA in the next draw or two because my points currently stand at 445. I lost 25 points for not claiming 3 years or more.

If I do not get ITA in the next two draws, I would have to add the company that's giving me concerns. All it would require is eating some humble pie and grovelling. That would bring me back to 470.

Thanks once again.

But u had already made up ur mind..what are we contributing?

Don't be obtuse or should I say silly. If I had my mind made up, I would not have come here to ask.

ITA already declined after getting helpful comments for Azed1 and Perks.

All the best in your own application and if you are already a landed immigrant, good for you.

Shey na new profile or/and e-mail addy go complete ur fund?

Now wouldn't that be grand!

Obviously not but there'll be deposits of lump sums. Thanks for commenting.

Everything should not be much of a concern, I'm just trying to be as careful as I should have been from the beginning.

No harm has been done. reject ITA edit your profile to reflect the correct information, sit back for new ITA. You don't have any reason to be apprehensive, except you have concerns about other things.

Thanks Perks.
Yes, POF not completely settled. Don't want to raise more than one red flag.

Decline the ITA, reenter the pool using current profile. You can always edit the work experience column of your application.

Thanks AZeD1.
My concern with this is I don't want the misrepresentation to come up at all. So the VO will not use side eye to look at my future application. embarassed cry

In addition, I had filled all mine and my spouse's details. I only noticed the error when I got reference letter from organization.

Hello Everyone.

Thank you for all the good work you have been doing here. I recently came across this thread when looking for a solution to the mess I got myself into.

I got an ITA with false information. That is, I claimed 3 years instead of 2 years (honest mistake). Now, I no longer want to proceed with the ITA or profile.

What are my options please?
1. Do I decline ITA, re enter pool on same profile? From what I've read before, the previous history will reflect on my profile.

2. Decline ITA, delete current profile, create another profile with another email entirely.

Option 2 is what I would really like to do as I am really not comfortable with this mess I created for myself. My concern with option 2 is, will creating a new profile with new email be flagged? Does anyone have an idea about this? Thank you.

Modification: In addition, I had filled all mine and my spouse's details. I only noticed the error when I got reference letter from organization.

Looks like we'd go the whole 9 yards on the agbada then. I don't like this "gbariye". Looks like hunter's outfit oh grin

Thanks dear

Thanks so much Sassygal.
What about for hubby? Would it look strange for him not to wear agbada?
Do we have to wear same lace fabric?

I'm not a very traditional person and I consider myself prudent so really don't wanna shell out big bucks for aso oke. At the same time, wanna look stunning.
Events / Re: Your Questions On Wedding Planning Answered! by Can2012: 9:59pm On Sep 21, 2015
Thanks for your response Chosenpraise. I will add you up per the aso oke.
I was hoping to avoid wearing a dress and escape with hubby asap but I might not be able to sad
Thanks once again

Helloooooo my elders, e ku ikale o. Wedding coming up mid November and nothing has been sorted out yet. Below are my questions make una biko, abeg, ejo, please chip in anywhere you can. Thank you.

1. Yoruba couple: is there a way of doing away with the outrageous aso-oke of 100k upwards that will probably never be worn again?

2. It's just the traditional wedding and reception. I want white predominantly and I want it classy.
Bride in all white native, teal beads, shoes and purse. Groom in white outfit and teal cap.
Guests in teal and white.
Decor white and teal with touches of green on centre pieces.
Seems to me like everything might be too matchy matchy and bride and groom would look too much like the guests (I don't mind though) Guess this is where the aso oke comes in. Does anyone have any suggestions per colour adjustments or additions?

3. Rocktation, mentioned Jahlobia gardens to someone else earlier (thanks for this) does any one else know any other sensibly priced outdoor venues? I'd like the green background of the gardens to complement the white and teal outfit/decor.

4. Although it's a traditional wedding, would it make sense to have a first dance and dance to John Legend's "all of me"?

Thanks guys
With regards, Currently Flustered Human

Hello good folks,

I got two BB Playbooks from Dealdey in their recent Black Friday deal. They did state in the small print that the playbooks are in "showroom display" condition so one arrive with Dutch Language and the other arrived with locked password issue.
I cannot access the PlayBook AT ALL so cannot do a security wipe.

Error message: You cannot change users on this playbook, please log on with ... (An email address presumed to be that of the original owner)
I have tried to enter the wrong password up to 10 times hoping to get a "Security wipe" option but that has not come up. Now it locks one out for 15 minutes before another password can be attempted.

Please does anyone know a way out of this predicament?
Thank you

For people engaged in online importation did you start like this? What is profitable to buy and sell?
Tnks

Everything is profitable and at the same time, nothing is profitable to sell.

Do you homework, if you decide to do the mini poultry targeting Christmas, do you homework. You wanna sell Zobo, do your homework.
No one can answer that question you posed above. Please study your environment and sell what you have a passion for.
I have a lawyer friend who makes HEAPS of money from selling his expertise and at the same time, fellow lawyers are forming charge and bail.

Do your homework, love your chosen field. Everything sells, even cleaning of shiiit.

Making money online is NOT beans, you need to research and research, you need to network and most of all you need to be wise.
I've made money online for sometime now and also lost some money. These days though I like to think I'm wiser.
Just do your due diligence and be willing to work HARD for it. Anybody who tells you anything like make so and so amount in so and so days is a joker.

Thank you Kay-Dee

At the end of this month, I'll register for the GMAT and take the exams mid April by God's grace, started preparing.

In the beginning I was leaning towards an MBA but now I feel maybe an Msc would be the best place to start. Finance or Intl. Business. Too many ppl in that field right?
The STEM areas, I learnt, have more opportunities but. . .

States: apparently Texas has a lot of funding, so that'll be a good place. Also Maryland. I don't have preferences per se as long as it isn't Alaska (I nor wan freeze).
Those hidden opportunities could be very hidden indeed and that's why I asked for heads up earlier.

Thank you

@can2012,

You don't need the beginning of your second post. No one is humiliating you. Before my first interview, I was humiliated just for helping others whereas I haven't gotten my visa then and at the end I got denied. How would you feel if you happened to be in that shoe? Still I wasn't deterred. Listen bro, to succeed in life, you've gotta experience a lot. Do more research yourself I bet it with you, you won't regret it.

Thank you Imperiouxx
I know your story very well but I don't feel humiliated just loathe braggards who are filled with self-importance and unfortunately couldn't let his comments slide. I'm done with the young man now though.

It's not like you spoon-fed me either but you talked with experience and maturity and that is appreciated.
I'm still on the research, sent my documents to WES for evaluation sef, not because any school has asked for it but because it prevented me from taking some shots in the past. Will most likely miss fall of 2012 because I made up my mind late so looking towards next year.
Thank you once again dude, you've always been a helper.

Bro, there is nothing sacred about it. Since march 2010, I have been sending mails. Believe me, I have sent tons of mails to professors requesting to work in their labs. And believe me my grades, GRE and TOEFL scores are tops but I still got rejects. I finally got two acceptances and they were as a result of mailing, mailing and mailing. I believe imperiouxx when he says he has sent over 600 mails. The professors just don't reply but u'v got to persevere. No one can do ur research for you. Hang in there, it will be well. Regards.

Thank you Moroh, persevere I shall.

the time taken to type the above exhibition of pathological laziness and intellectual dhimmitude = time required to do your own research.

You, my dear, are a pompous retardeed foool you don't get to judge me as lazy if you haven't taken a walk in my shoes. Not everyone is blessed with first class brains or parents abroad. Assshole.

Kay-Dee:

Have you applied to any school for admission and scholarship ? You can always get information about scholarships and financial aid from the school's and departmental website (use the www.). Its okay to ask questions but you have to do your basic homework first, if you're having a problem with a complex problem, then come back and ask for tips and advice.

And also Imperiouxxx

Thank you for your response (imperiouxxx on the other thread too). I've been on this issue for more than a year now and also have a lot of correspondence with a good number of schools. Gained admission to some schools last year but none with good enough scholarship. I decided to take a chance even with all the comments on the Student visa thread against poor finance, to cut a long story short = Visa denied.

It's possible I'm looking in all the wrong places and that's why I decided to register and make the request. Just want to believe there must have been someone else in my shoes in the past. I actually gave up on this whole US dream after the last denial but truth be told, seeing my friend leave this country for masters in Wales and another for the US (I introduced him to the student's visa thread and he's an active poster on there) woke me back up and he raised my spirit to make me believe it can be done.

I'm not asking for anybody's father's money, just information if there is any to be given. The things you guys suggested, I've done in the past and already started again.
I couldn't take the GMAT because of funds but been saving and I hope to register by the end of this month.
By the time everything falls into place according to my calculations, all deadlines for fall would have long passed in every school (a lot have passed already).

I'm still pressing on and also ask AGAIN if any one has any information, please share. If it's all to sacred to be shared, too bad then. It'll all work out in the end, that much I know.
Thank you for your response.
