Like i said Christianity, religion and God is an embarrassing human practice of convincing the mind to ignore common sense, logic, reason and evidence while blindly believing in ancient fairy tales. It encourages its followers to value faith over facts and reality. It makes its followers proud instead of being ashamed of thier ignorance

Do you have proof that God or 'gods' do not exist, or you just want to sound smart to all?

If you can prove the non-existence of God, then share with us.

But he was saying the truth nah. Although the truth is bitter but it also needed to be told. Are you a member of his church. If we check the list of richest pastor in the world from 1 to 10 he sure say Nigeria 3 pastor deh there what impact are they contribute to the nation?. Oyedepo is the richest pastor in the world not in Africa but in the world with over $200 million net profit. Jesus Christ has just 12 loaf of bread ooo but he was not greedy and share it to thousand of people if this man is a real man of God and not a business man that him school should have be lesser than a poor people can also avoid do you know as at 2years ago covenant university was paying 495k per session thats almost half a million how many of his church members can avoid that?. Why not give free education to his members?. Do you know the number one problem that is affecting Africa as a continent is Religion?. If Oyedepo, pastor Adeboye, Chris oyakilome if all of them deh help 200people every year and they make it compulsory for the same people to help 5 people every years this country will never be like this do you know how much some people are paying in church every Sunday and still yet they can’t avoid to send their children to the church school you think about it ?. If the school is run properly even some church members who are doing teaching job will want to teach student freely in the school.. People are too greedy in this country I swear. If all rich men and women way den Nigeria deh help atleast 10people every year I swear poor people for no remain for Nigeria again.... but just one man want to have 109 billion to himself only

Oga leave that thing wey you dey talk.

Every human being is responsible for his or her success.

In Africa we blame people too much for our failures but fail to recognize those who helped us when we succeed.

The church does not have a responsibility to raise a country out of poverty.

They can help in any way they can, but it is not their core responsibility.

Nigerians have grown tired of blaming their leaders, seeing that they have nothing to offer.

So, they now resort to blaming the church.

Before you accuse anybody of not doing anything, kindly go and do your research.

Find out whether they help or not.

Oyedepo pays school fees, for some students at Landmark and Covenant University.

If you schooled there you would know this.

There are other charities these pastors and their ministries are into.

But they don't talk about them, so people think they don't do anything.

As some people would say, "go and verify".

As as a Christian you should never say such a thing. You are not Jesus Christ to decide that a certain church is built on sand. Christ embassy is reaching billions of people with healing streams, they produce the world's most read and distributed devotional in the Rhapsody, and daily thousands of people are saved. That's enough for God to be happy.

Thank God for Dunamis, Salvation Ministries and OPM. Every Christian want them to grow and flourish. There is nothing like "my church". The church belongs to Christ and He is the Head. And he leads the church by the Holy Ghost.

Happy Sunday.

This is not a gift because he will evict them immediately they are sacked OR leave the church.

You don't take back a gift. Those pastors are his employees

Not true, I am a member of the church. All full-time pastors are given cars and houses which are rented or owned by the church.

They can be evicted from those ones.

But when he gave them this ones, he gave them the documents of ownership which means they can not be evicted and they can do whatever they want with it.

I was there when it happened.

Why would I condemn him when he spoke against internet fraudsters? I dey mad?

You can't say I hate him because I disagreed with him in this instance. I actually was among people who hailed his condemnation of 'yahoo yahoo'. I condemn it everyday.

I have been to Ibiyeomie's Church at Birabi in the GRA area of Port Harcourt. I no hate am, but I must not agree with everything he says. I no dey do 'blind following'.

What I know for sure is that religious organizations can do more to fix Nigeria's economic and moral ills.

Building physical edifices and always attempting to exonerate herself from our collective challenges, is the wrong approach.

As for what you said about a child having good home training and veering in the other direction at adulthood, that is subjective. What you call good home training may fall far below par, by another person's evaluation. E get who go gree say e no train him pikin well?

I still maintain that the home, the community, the school and the Church / mosque have a huge role to play in restoring Nigeria's moral standards, and better the country.

It may not be Ibiyeomie directly, but his colleagues, in their numbers, are involved in 'prayer on laptops' for yahoo boys, and are accomplices in many money ritual killings.

There is no doubt, that the Church, in particular, is responsible for fueling the craze for wealth among young people. You may keep defending all you want. I have just said what I believe is the gospel truth.

Again, what Ibiyeomie said about voting individuals instead of parties does not hold any water. Where will the individuals that should be voted come from? The same society that is a moral mess abi? Voting party or individual isn't the issue. The issue should be how we can progressively and incrementally raise and nurture morally upright individuals in our society. How we can deemphasize materialism, and start recognizing and celebrating high moral standards.

The home, the community, worship places and educational institutions are the most veritable platforms to achieving a better Nigeria.

O gwu ka oham nonu.

My brother, we all want a better country with better standards of living. This is one thing we can agree with.

What he said is not hard to understand now.

If someone says don't vote any party, what the person is saying is don't vote any particular party because you want to vote the party or because you have ties with the party.

The candidates must be in a party as we all know.

What he was simply saying is don't say vote PDP, APC or any other party because you are a follower of the party or because they give you money.

He was telling people to vote for the right candidate and he was not talking about independent candidacy as you said.

I agree that the church has part to play in the development and advancement of the nation and the little statement he made is one that is needed at this time.

God bless you.

And the Bible called running for public office under a political party a sin abi?

Which legit funds? When it comes to pastors, funds become legit. How would things get better when pastors no longer bother about what people, who donate huge sums to their churches, do for a living?

Do you even know how massive his Church headquarters building is? You cannot convince me that all funds contributed and invested in that project in Igwuruta, Ikwerre LGA, are legit.

There is nothing sensible in what he has said. They, pastors, contribute significantly to the mess our society has become.

We have to say it as it is. If you dey fear to talk true, me I no dey fear.

All we are facing today stem directly from failure of parenting, community, religious and national leaderships. No one should be exempted hiding under the Bible or Quaran.

Una dey find am easy to play attacking positions if dem dey blame political leaders for our failures, but when dem mention pastors, una go go defence.

Like I said, all you want to do is disagree with what he said since you don't like him and you are still proving that.

You claim that there is no sense in what he said yet other people are saying that it makes sense.

You say that what we are facing today is as a result of failed parenting and good leadership.

I ask you one question, have you not seen people who received good training at home and decided to turn bad?

In case you haven't, I have.

You also say that all the funds used in building that cathedral is not legit and I can't disagree with you.

No matter how you behave, you can't know the sources of income for all your members and followers. They can tell you some and and hide some and they could even lie about their source of income totally.

When he spoke against internet fraud in Nigeria, were you not amongst the people who condemned him?

We can continue to argue and argue, but all I know is that we all want good leadership and all he said is correct. We need a leader who is ready to prepare Nigeria for the future.

Stop trying to attack someone who is speaking the truth.

If pastors talk, you people will condemn them. If they don't talk, you'll still condemn them. Na wa for una sef.

The pastorprenours uses church to commit evil and because you may not understand.....

How do the church make money? ... through collections from their member etc.....

Everytime the politicians want to go for elections they go to these pastorprenours and they don't go with empty hand ........ Politicians uses some of these pastorprenours private jet to launder money..........
There are cases of big government officials that defraud their company/ministry to give to their church.....
This is the least I can explain.....you can Google and get some more ........
There's no difference between Nigerian pastorprenours and the politicians....

I am glad you said they (the politicians) don't go empty handed and the same politicians defraud the government to give to the churches.

They do what they do because they decide to do it, not because the pastors asked the to do it.

You'll find that they will steal from the same places if they want to take care of their family, so for some of them it is not new.

What those politicians do is not good, even if they want to give the money to the poor.

However, if you are going to blame the pastors for that then you need to be able to prove that the pastors or those churches asked them to defraud governments and people and give the money to them.

Is there any law in Nigeria requiring Nigerians not to vote party candidates but independent candidates?

Is there even any such thing independent candidacy in Nigeria?

What was your pastor even talking about?

See how you are struggling just to justify your pastor... was it the Bible that told them to buy private jets and live lavish lifestyles as they now do, since you are now suggesting that they only rely on Bible for everything they do?

From all you have typed it is not hard to see that you generally angry with all or most pastors and you feel that all of them are evil and are the same thing.

Since you don't understand what he said, let me explain it to you.

What he meant is that people should not choose leaders based on tribe, ethnicity or religion.

He also said that people should vote people who have a future for the country and not just people whose plan is to get into office.

Everything he said is in agreement with what many sensible Nigerians have been saying and I believe you also agree with it.

You are only trying to find a way to say something negative about him since you don't like him.

By the way the Bible never called buying private jets a sin. As long as it was bought with legit funds, there is no problem with that.

David Ibiyeomie does not own a private jet so I don't know why you brought that into this matter.

You are not correct.....it's these churches(religion) that are the measure problem......most of them work hand in hand with these politicians......
They encourage the corrupt politicians..

You are wrong.

You claim that the churches are the major problem.

Is it because of churches you don't have stable electricity?

Is it because of churches you don't have good roads?

is it because of churches you don't have good healthcare?

Take some time to think of it and you will find out the problem is NO!

The politicians steal the money and don't share it with pastors, so I am not sure what you mean by they work hand in hand with politicians.

Maybe you can explain.

Yes. I was chased by the dog of a very irresponsible neighbour back then, when I was a lot younger.

One cool evening, I came out to play with other kids in the estate I was living.

I was going towards the house of one of my regular play partners, then I noticed that the main protector of my neighbour who had a dog was open.

The next thing I saw was the dog and the only thing I could think of was RUN!!! grin

I thank God I saw the dog on time and my front door was open as I was the only one in the house. So I ran towards my house door in time, got in and shut it.

The dog barked for a while I front of my house. I guess it was expecting me to open door. Lol.

After about two minutes, it wen back to where it came from.

It made me afraid of dogs, but as I grew older and saw other people playing with dogs I became more comfortable.

About four years after this happened, the owner of that dog defrauded a Nigerian bank; he borrowed money from a bank and fled to Malaysia.

Religion / Pastor David Ibiyeomie Gives A Massive School To The Methodist Church (Photos) by CapnMike(m): 1:27am On Mar 09, 2022
It was a time of joy and celebration for the staff and students of Banham Methodist Academy on Tuesday 22nd of February, 2022 as the presiding pastor of Salvation Ministries Pastor David Ibiyeomie handed over the new school building he constructed for the Banham Methodist Academy to the Methodist Church.

Pastor David Ibiyeomie, an alumnus of the school earlier this year talked about how he went to the school for an event the previous year and discovered it was in a sad state. He said he could literally point at the particular spot he used to sit over forty (40) years ago and so he asked the school management for permission to take down the building so that he can build a new one.

The former building which was a storey building was constructed during the colonial era had less than ten classrooms. While the newly built school is a two (2) storey building that comprises of the following: sixteen(16) learning areas(classrooms), a store area, a head teacher’s office, reception area, two administrative offices and suites, one staff office, library, a crèche,a science laboratory, a home economics laboratory, thirty(30) VIP toilets(five on each wing), and a courtyard.

An archbishop of the Methodist Church of Nigeria, Emmanuel Udofia, spoke about Pastor Ibiyeomie’s openness to people regardless of church denomination. He said “I just came in here barely two months taking over from my predecessor. I have heard your news, I have heard you, I have watched you, I have listened to you and I have seen you today. You are a man of action. For what you have done, I think it is a very good lesson that you are not a pastor that is found within an area. You are a man that God has given the gift and the talent to impact upon lives.”

Pastor David Ibiyeomie said “Life is all I said about contribution, if you are nothing to humanity there is no need existing. So, I felt that a place that has blessed my life I should also contribute in my little way to the place that has affected me positively. That is why we have just come to do what we have done. It is not all you have that matters but what you give to people. Life is about giving. You stop giving, you start dying. This is my own little way to say to the world, thank you and we will do more as we are alive.”

This is not the first time the pastor is getting involved with public charity as he previously donated an elderly home to the Catholic Church and donated a hostel to Ignatius Ajuru University in Rivers State.

He also gave a one-year scholarship to sixteen (16) pupils present at the ceremony.
