Osinbajo hails Okorocha as he commissions projects in Imo

Chidiebube Okeoma, Owerri

Vice president, Yemi Osinbajo has reassured Nigerians that the federal government is committed to ensuring that all parts of the country are secured.

He also said that the fight against corruption was real, even as said that citizens must partner government to make progress.

Osinbajo, who spoke while Commissioning the Imo International Exhibition Centre, Owerri, on Friday, said that the FG was winning the war against insurgents.

He said, “I have gone around the state on several occasions to look at so many projects that the governor has done. As a matter of fact, on one occasion, we went to see one of the Universities that he had just completed. When I went round that University Complex, I realized that there is simply no other University that has the kind of physical facilities like that University has, at least in the history of Nigeria.

“I have always found him very strange. I must say so because he’s otherwise someone who is not quiet but decided to keep quiet about his achievements. I’ve not been able to understand that because anybody who knows him will not say he’s a quiet man.

“I want to say that he has done extremely well in this past eight years.”

The state governor, Rochas Okorocha, said that he was finishing strong, adding that he dedicated his two tenures as governor to offering selfless services to the people.

That Mr. Ebi is from Arondizuogu Ideato. He used to be a director in dangote group.

But I thought he's the chairman of Fidelity Bank group or does he also double as chairman of seplat energy?

He must be a successful man then if that's the case.

Owerri – Gov Rochas Okorocha has said that the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport is ready and will be inaugurated in the second week of May,

President Muhammdu Buhari receives in audience Governor Rochas Okorochas of Imo State in State House on 1st April 2019

The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr Sam Onwuemeodo made the disclosure in a statement issued in Owerri on Tuesday.
Onwuemedo said the governor announced it when he received the Director of Commercial and Development of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Sadik Rafindadi at the Government House Owerri.

According to the release, Okorocha said he was awaiting the approval of President Muhammadu Buhari to inaugurate the project, adding that he was happy to handover the cargo airport to his successor as a legacy of his administration.

He further disclosed that the existing runway would be extended as required by FAAN to ensure safe landing of big cargo aircrafts, adding that it would greatly boost commercial and economic activities in the state.

“The idea of building the International Cargo Airport is to connect Imo State to the rest of the world; we are happy that this project has become a reality and we are waiting for the kind approval of the president to commission the project.

“When fully commissioned, it will increase and improve the commercial and economic activities of the people here.

“This is the biggest Cargo Airport in Nigeria and we are very happy to handover this legacy to the incoming government and our generation yet unborn.

“Imo Government will extend the existing runway to enable the boeing 737 and other big cargo aircrafts to land safely.

“Most of the big importers in Nigeria come from the South-East and so this will help them in their businesses greatly.

“We are happy that this project has become a reality and we are hoping that in the next 10 days, this project will be commissioned and opened for public use,” he said.

He further thanked the President for approving the building of the international cargo airport, adding that it was fully sponsored by the state government.

Calibration of product, services will boost local, int’l trade – SON

In his speech, while presenting a letter from the Managing Director of FAAN to the governor, Mr. Rafindadi commended him for his vision which birthed the new airport.

He described the airport as an `indelible achievement and a great contribution’ to the growth of the aviation industry in Imo, adding that the whole country would benefit from it.

“We thank you for your vision and leadership to construct an International Cargo Airport for your people; you started it from day one and thank God that today, it is now completed and ready for commissioning.

“We have come to thank you for this vision and to tell you that this is not only for the people of Imo State but for the whole Nigeria.

“This project will bring a lot of revenue to FAAN, Imo State government and Nigeria as a whole,” he said. (NAN)

Politics / Charly Boy Leaves Abuja, Relocates To Imo by cascarino(m): 8:34am On Apr 16, 2019
Embattled convener of OurMumuDonDo movement, Charles Oputa also known as Charlyboy, has relocated to his home state, Imo, from Abuja.

The activist also known as ‘Area Fada’ told reporters in Owerri yesterday that the decision to relocate was to turn his searchlight and support to Imo governor-elect, Emeka Ihedioha, before and during his administration.

The maverick entertainer disclosed that he purposely relocated from Abuja to his home because he was not allowed to express himself freely in Abuja by prohibitive forces.

His words: “I am back to Imo State, my home, to beam my searchlight on Ihedioha’s administration. You know Imo people have suffered since the last eight years.”

Oputa noted that he would ensure the success of Ihedioha when he fully comes on board from May 29.

According to him, his group, other Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), retirees and other frustrated Imo people would storm Ihedioha’s residence during the week to ask him how he intends to ensure that numerous unemployed persons in the state have jobs.

He warned the governor-elect to be mindful of the major pitfalls of the Rochas Okorocha administration.

Charly Boy, however, expressed reservations on some people in the Transition Technical Committee (TTC) and the Inauguration Committee of the governor-elect.

He advised Ihedioha to be careful in order not to make further mistakes.

He said he assumed the presidency of Association of Frustrated Nigerians (AFN) because there were too many Nigerians who had been suffering that needed help.

Owerri—Governorship candidate of Action Alliance, AA, yesterday got an order of substituted service to serve the governor-elect of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Uche Nwosu
Uche Nwosu
The order was given by the chairman of the panel of Imo State Governorship and House of Assembly Petitions Tribunal, Justice M.O Adewara.

According to the counsel to Nwosu, Okey Amaechi, part of their prayers include “To determine and thus declare that Ihedioha did not satisfy the requirements of Section 179(2)(b) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended) having failed to poll not less than one-quarter of all the votes cast in at least, two-thirds of the Local Government Areas in Imo State at the governorship election held on 9th March, 2019.

Court dismisses Senator Anyanwu’s suit against Ihedioha’s candidature

Meantime, a federal high court sitting in Owerri, presided over by Justice Tijani Ringim yesterday dismissed a suit filed by a former governorship aspirant in the last guber primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, challenging the outcome of the said governorship primaries in which Emeka Ihedioha was declared winner.

In his judgment, Justice Tijani Ringim dismissed the suit on the grounds that the plaintiff (Anyanwu) was unable to prove his claims.

Anyanwu, representing Imo East Senatorial district, had gone to the court arguing that he was the rightful winner of the said PDP guber primaries.

He also alleged among other things that during the PDP governorship pramaries, there were massive rigging and thuggery aimed at hijacking the process in favour of Ihedioha. Therefore, he asked that the primaries be invalidated.

It would also be recalled that in the said 1st October 2018 guber primaries, Ihedioha, who is now the Imo State governor-elect had 1,723 to trash Samuel Anyanwu who came second with 1,282.

However, efforts made to reach the counsel to Senator Anyanwu was abortive.

With enough space, tight security, water, a bank, among other facilities, the new Imo State markets have won over traders who once opposed them. OKODILI NDIDI reports

A few months ago when the Imo State government embarked on the relocation of markets in the Owerri metropolis in line with its urban renewal programme, the traders kicked, cursed and protested, calling the action anti-people. Some of them, emboldened by the comments and action of opposition politicians, who fought to blackmail the government, went as far as dragging the state government to court, while very many others vowed to resist the demolition of the old markets.

No explanation of the government, not even the obvious benefits that will accrue from the relocation of the markets, which were impeding developmental efforts, could sway the adamant traders.

Security experts had also warned about the high rate of crime within the areas the markets were located, justifying the action of government but this was also dismissed by the traders.

But today the story is different. The traders are better for it and words alone cannot convey their gratitude to the state government.

Reasons for their joy and change of attitude is not farfetched. In place of the demolished markets are brand new ones complete with a bank, central security system, water and enough space, among other facilities.

As if that is not enough, most of the traders now own expansive shops at subsidised rates.

At the new markets, economic activities have got to fever pitch. It is a whole new beginning, and the traders are fast settling down to business in their new environment. The host communities where the new markets are located are also counting their gains and thanking their stars.

Some of the new markets include the Egbeada Market Ubomiri, Alaba International Market at Naze, New Market Avu, the Arugo Modern Market, among others.

Despite all these benefits, some of the traders were still adamant to relocate to the new markets, preferring instead to be shopping on the road and atop the ruins of the demolished markets with the attendant risks.

It took the Task Force on Market relocation to force the traders to go to the new markets, where vacant shops are waiting to be occupied at no cost for a start.

The state governor Rochas Okorocha was irritated by the traders’ reluctance to comply with the urban renewal project.

According to his chief press secretary, Sam Onwuemeodo “the criticisms by some elites in the state on the implementation of the relocation of the traders and artisans to their permanent sites built for them by the state government noted that such people do not want a change for the state”.

He said, “They are enemies of the state. They have no good intention for the state and her people. They are allergic to positive changes. They want the state to remain as it was when it was created in 1976. But the governor is repositioning the State for posterity and we thank God for that”

The final relocation of the traders was however greeted with mixed reactions from residents of the State. While some applauded the state government’s commitment to the Urban Renewal programme, others lamented that the relocation of the Market will impose hardship on the residents of the metropolis as they will have to travel far distance to go to market.

A resident, Mr. Stanley Owuamanam, said, “The city is clean and we like what the state government is doing but that has also created another problem. We now have to go far distance to buy stable items”.

A trader, Izu Moses, while commenting on the final relocation of the traders, said, “Yes the urban renewal is one of the greatest thing that has ever happened to us, but we traders have abused the privilege given to us by the governor, I have to tell you the truth, some of us have moved into the new market but because some have refused to go, so we have to join them, now that they have forced all of us, we will all now go at the same time”.

Another trader, Chinazo Ufere, had this to say, “I am a proud owner of a shop at the Alaba Market in Naze and my business has picked up. Initially when the government demolished our former market, I thought everything was over but I can now understand better and I am grateful to the state government”.

Ufere, who sells kitchen wares, added that, “the allocation of the new shop is done in a way that the traders have six months grace to stay without paying a dime after which you start paying for a period of time and the shop becomes yours”.

Madam Nwakaego Ubochi, who almost committed suicide when Eke Ukwu Owerri was demolished according to her, now thanks the state government, “I thought they were just trying to pursue us away from the market. I wanted to kill myself because it was from my little trading to I take care of my family since my husband is bedridden. But today I now own my shop and I have rest of mind. In this new market we have enough space unlike in Owerri. Touts don’t harass us anymore.”

Observer groups to sue INEC over Okorocha’s Certificate of Return
...says allegation of ’duress’ unfounded
Okodili Ndidi, Owerri by Okodili Ndidi, Owerri March 25,

Observer Groups Monday lampooned the Independent National Electoral Commission for withholding the Certificate of Return of Imo West senator-elect, Rochas Okorocha.

The groups noted that the electoral umpire is overstepping its bonds, adding that it lacks the powers to stop any candidate after he or she has been declared winner.

At a press Conference in Owerri, Emmanuel Azuike of the Women Fest for Better Life Living Initiative, an Independent Observer group, said that the issue of allegation of duress upon which INEC relying on to withhold the Certificate of Return can only be established by a Court of competent jurisdiction.

According to him, the allegation by the Collation Officer, Innocent Ibeawuchi, was not only outrageous but criminal

He said, ”we were observers at Imo West Senatorial election and we observed that the election and the entire processes were peaceful and credible. We were also at the collation center at Orlu INEC office where the election results were received and we saw that Rochas Okorocha won with a wide margin and the Returning Officer, Prof Innocent Ibeabuchi, declared him winner”.

He continued that, “the Returning Officer, Ibeabuchi was not under any form of duress to announce the results whatsoever, not at gunpoint, knife point or any form of harassment.”

“All security Agencies, police, DSS, Army were there for the protection of the Returning Officer, and everybody present in the collation room.”

“For him to say he was under duress was a big lie and deceit of the highest order.”

“We hereby urge INEC to issue Rochas Okorocha his certificate of Return as senator-elect of Imo west senatorial zone or we will go to court to compel INEC to issue the Certificate of Return to the winner of the election.

NNPC, Total, Shell, NAOC take FID on 4.3trn ANOH gas fields

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, and its Joint Venture partners – Shell Petroleum Development Company, SPDC, Total Exploration and Production Nigeria, TEPNG, and Nigeria Agip Oil Company, NAOC – have reached Final Investment Decision, FID, on the development of the 4.3 trillion cubic feet Assa North/Ohaji South Fields, ANOH, in Oil Mining Lease, OML, 21.

Group Managing Director of the NNPC, Dr Maikanti Baru
In a statement in Abuja, yesterday, the NNPC disclosed that the project, when fully developed, would add about 600 million standard cubic feet of gas per day (mmscfd) to the national gas grid with capacity to expand to 1.2 billion cubic feet per day, while another 197 million stock barrel (mmstb) of condensate will also be realized.

According to the statement, Group Managing Director of the NNPC, Dr. Maikanti Baru, described the ANOH project as a critical gas supply hub in Nigeria’s burgeoning gas-infrastructure network designed to provide the linkage between the Eastern, Western and Northern gas pipeline system.

Baru who was represented at the event by NNPC Chief Operating Officer, Upstream, Mallam Bello Rabiu, said the successful completion of the multi-faceted project which is an integral part of the Seven-Critical Gas Development Projects, would be dependent on a number of critical success factors and enablers which include synergy and team work between NNPC and all the key stakeholders.

He commended stakeholders in the project for signing the FID on the ANOH Project after being on the drawing board for 14 years.

He said the corporation and its JV partners have worked on all the issues and have developed a sustainable strategy to develop the considerable gas resources in Assa North-Ohaji South Fields.

“Finally, I will like to conclude with immense compliments to the NNPC, Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC), Total Exploration and Production Nigeria (TEPNG) and Nigeria Agip Oil Company (NAOC), project teams and other critical stakeholders as we enter into the next major phases – Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of this project”, he said.

The NNPC boss said the corporation would continue to leverage on available expertise and capital from its global outreach to accelerate and deliver on first gas from the project between the last quarter of 2019 and the first quarter of 2020.

To this end, he said the NNPC had engaged two world-class project management consultants, DeltaAfrik/Worley Parson & Crestech/Penspen, who would ork with NNPC JV Partners and other stakeholders to achieve set project deliverables.

In addition, he explained that the NNPC Project Management Teams are expected to strengthen oversight functions by ensuring prompt decision making and timely approvals.

Also speaking, Mr. Osagie Okunbor, Managing Director SPDC and Country Chair, Shell Companies in Nigeria, operators of the ANOH project, said Shell was committed to the successful implementation of the project.

Osagie, who commended the resilience, diligence and enthusiasm of the project team, emphasized that the ANOH project would offer immeasurable opportunities for Nigerian firms to benefit from engineering, procurement and construction contracts.

He also announced the inauguration of boards to administer the Global Memorandum of Understanding (GMoU) for the two clusters of the project to the tune of N1billion for development projects within the host communities for the next five years.

On his part, Nicholas Terraz, Managing Director of TEPN, and Lorenzo Fiorillo, Managing Director, NAOC, also aligned their companies with the NNPC’s aspiration of ensuring timely completion of the project.

How Buhari and I rigged ANPP primaries against Okorocha in 2003 – Bafarawa
Chijioke Jannah Chijioke Jannah

Attahiru Bafarawa, former governor of Sokoto State, has said he manipulated the presidential primary of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) against Rochas Okorocha to favour Muhammadu Buhari in 2003.

Buhari eventually got the party’s nomination but lost to Olusegun Obasanjo in the presidential election.

Bafarawa, who was doubling as the party’s chairman then, said Okorocha was set to pick the ANPP presidential ticket following a mock primary conducted before the nomination convention.

According to him, Okorocha came first, winning 27 of the 36 states and the FCT, while Buhari could only win five.

He made these revelations in a new book which will be launched on Thursday in Abuja, ‘Politics as Dashed Hopes in Nigeria’, written by Auwala Anwar, PhD, and former special assistant to the president on FCTA from 2004-2007

Anwar narrated how Bafarawa cajoled the state chairmen of the party to support Buhari after they had said they would not vote for him in the primary.

He wrote: “Buhari was not even able to secure all the 7 votes from his geo-political zone (north-west). When Bafarawa saw how dismally Buhari’s performance had been, he not only suspended the meeting for a break but also requested the state chairmen to stay behind for some announcements. He later cajoled the chairmen and explained to them that his preference was for Buhari to emerge the winner. In response, they all assured him that, although they were ready to do whatever he requested, as their leader, they were still not inclined to vote for Buhari.

“On enquiry, the chairmen explained that it would be foolish for them to vote for someone who did not even know their names. They charged that whenever he came across them, the best he could do to address them was to use generic terms of “Mister” or “Alhaji,” depending on whether a chairman came from the South or the North, respectively. They sensed the futility of supporting someone who did not bother to know them while he was seeking for their support.”

The preview copy of the book, published by Safari Books, quoted Bafarawa as saying in an interview with the author: “I appealed to the chairmen to change their mind because of the prospects of the party at the polls if it were Buhari that emerged as our flag-bearer. I also directed one of my staff, Abdullahi Bida, a relation to Buba Galadima, to give each of them five hundred thousand naira (500,000). I later called General Buhari to meet me at the Niger State Governor’s Lodge, where I was staying. He came around 4 a.m. together with Sule Hamma.

“I informed him about the efforts I had made to turn the table against Rochas. I also explained to him that I had arranged for a private meeting between him and the state chairmen, later at 2 p.m. Furthermore, I begged him to be patient with all the criticisms and the complaints they would lodge against him.

“Additionally, I gave him five million naira to give them to fuel their vehicles back to their respective states. He collected the money and thanked me for all the trouble that I took to see him through. He later handed over the money to them at the end of their meeting.”

The author continued in the book: “The rigging of the mock election in favour of Buhari was not without resistance. Some of the southern aspirants, who learnt of the private meeting organised between Buhari and their state chairmen, invaded the venue and accused Bafarawa of nepotism. He responded by reminding them how he also arranged for similar meetings between some of them and the state chairmen.”

Southern aspirants withdrew from the convention, including Nnia Nwodo, now president of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, in protest.

Nwodo famously made his “my heart bleeds for Nigeria” speech while pulling out from the race at the convention ground.

Buhari will definitely not attend the rally, don't mind that talkative spokesperson.

Buhari is not in support of Uzodinma as APC guber candidate, That's why he sent presidential assets recovery team against him and placed him on travel ban. Buhari is tacitly in support of Okorocha and Nwosu.

Uzodinma is simply an Oshiomole and Tinubu preferred candidate for obvious reasons and he will fail wolefully which he is aware.

I don't waste my time with useless praise singers and hirelings like you who have zero self esteem. Everything must be about "richer" and "more popular". Because whoever is rich and popular can do no wrong, so worthless creatures like you must worship such a person.

Now get lost, forever.
Hmm! It's amazing how you throw caution to the wind and describe people with all sorts of negative adjectives without any form of restriction. What else can be the course if not poor parental upbringing and moral decadence.

My dear, I'm a hireling to nobody, go through my comments you will observe that I belong to no political party. I'm against hate and destructive criticism which you exhibited by calling for the killing of the governor through jungle justice.

I found that too extreme and merely tried to correct you by reminding you that the man you're advocating for his killing is not entirely useless as you portrayed him in your comment. I commented about his charity and generosity towards the poor in the society - which is verifiable.

Instead of you to be penitent and see the intended correction in my write-up, you proved to be an unapologetic street urchin by bombarding me with my own dose of insolent comments.
My dear you're loosing it. What you just exhibited is not virtue atall and you need to change Biko.

He has always preferred to be "held by a man" anyway, he swings that way. Useless, good for nothing, disgustingly diabolical fagg0t!

The fool should be dragged and lynched in the streets of Owerri, if Ndi Imo know what's good for them.
you're full of hate mr man, take it easy because it's not good for your health. That man you called all sorts of names is a million times richer, popular and we'll connected than you.

He is a father figure to over 18 thousand indigent children who he feeds, clothes, and fends for their education.

Above all today he's a governor. Who are you and how many people have you even paid for their meal?

Learn to appreciate successful men from today when you see one, it will make you to get to their height - that's my little peace of advice.

I expect you to quote and call me names because that's the hallmark of a failure.

Anambra corps members moved to Ebonyi, Imo
Tuesday, November 13, 2018 6:30 am

Prospective corps members who were supposed to do their national service in Anambra were moved to Ebonyi and Imo states due to lack of adequate camping facilities.

Mr Kehinde Aremu, Coordinator of the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) in Anambra, made the disclosure during the closing of camp for 2018 Batch C orientation exercise in Umunya Temporary Orientation Camp on Monday.

Aremu said Anambra was the only state in the South-East geopolitical zone that did not have permanent orientation site.

He said the present site which was owned by the Anglican Church had become grossly inadequate considering the number of prospective corps members posted to the state.

“Sadly, corps members deployed to Anambra will be holding their orientation course in Imo, earlier this year, Anambra corps members were dislodged to Ebonyi and Imo states.

“This is because Anambra is the only state in South-East of Nigeria without a permanent orientation camp.

“I wish to seize this opportunity to appeal to the vibrant private sector in Anambra to complement the efforts of the state government towards delivering the orientation camp in Umuawulu/Mbaukwu for 2019 Batch A,’’ he said.

Aremu said the posting of the corps members was guided by the scheme’s policy and requests from deserving employers which fitted into the human capital development strategy of the state government.

He said the corps members had been trained with fitness drill and entrepreneurial skills as well as the ways and culture of the people to enable them to contribute maximally to the communities they were posted for primary assignment.

He thanked Gov. Willie Obiano, the Anglican Church and other partnering agencies for their support and success of the orientation course.

In his speech, Obiano charged the corps members to answer the call to national service with every sense of seriousness and patriotism.

Obiano, represented by Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, Secretary to Anambra Government, said they should abide by the electoral laws and refuse to be used by politicians as they participate in the 2019 general elections.

“You must emulate your predecessors who were unbiased umpires in previous elections, the nation repose a lot of confidence in you, you must not let her down,” he said.

Obiano assured Nigerians of the security and welfare of the corps members, adding that modalities were being worked out for a differential payment to those posted in rural and hard to reach areas.

The governor said the permanent orientation site would be ready before the end of the year to enable the next batch have their orientation course in the new site.

No fewer than 2,167 corps members were sworn in the state.

Politics / Court Refers Sen. Uzodinma To EFCC For Investigation. by cascarino(m): 10:01pm On Nov 09, 2018
A court in Abuja has referred the case of criminal complaint, made against Senator Hope Uzodinma (Orlu District, Imo State), to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for investigation and appropriate action.

Judge Abdulwahab Muhammed of the Grade 1 Area Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Arab Road, Kubwa, Abuja made the referral following Uzodinma’s alleged consisted failure to attend court to answer to the complaint made against him and his firms by Chitex Ventures Ltd and Chima Akuzie, who claimed that the Senator issued them a N200 million UBA dud (bounced cheque).

Akuzie claimed the Uzodinma subcontracted to his company, a shoreline protection project in Koko, Delta State, which he (Uzodinma) allegedly got from the Niger-Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and that the dud cheque was intended as payment their successful execution of the project.

The referral of the case to the EFCC was conveyed through a letter dated October 29 this year, was received by the EFCC, Acting Chairman, Ibrahim Magu on November 6.

A copy of the letter, sighted by The Nation on Friday, has as its reference number: FCT/JD/AC/ABJ/CORR/EFCC/VOL1/2018. It was addressed to the Acting Chairman of the EFCC.

Part of it reads: “Re-Criminal complaint against Senator Hope Uzodinma, Smiec Engineering and Chemical Construction Company Limited, and Niger Global Engineering and Technical Company Limited for criminal conspiracy, joint act, criminal misappropriation, criminal breach of trust and cheating.

“The above subject matter, with case number: CR/358/2018 between Chimex Ventures Ltd & 1 other and Senator Hope Uzodinma & 2 others, refers.

“With reference to the above subject matter, I am directed to inform you and refer the above matter to your office for proper, thorough and discreet comprehensive investigation in line with Section 89(5) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015.

“Please find attached copy of the complaint for your information and further action.”

The court’s decision to refer the case to the EFCC was taken on October 29 when the case came up, but neither Uzodinma, nor his lawyer was in court.

The court, on September 18 this year, issued a bench warrant against Uzodinma and ordered his production by security agencies on September 25 this year, on the grounds that he allegedly failed to attend court to answer to the criminal complaint pending against him and his companies – Smiec Engineering and Chemical Construction Company Limited, and Niger Global Engineering and Technical Company Limited.

On September 25, the court granted a request by lawyer to the complainants, Tosin Ojaomo for the publication of a public summons against Uzodinma following the failure of security agencies to produce him despite a pending arrest warrant issued against him.

When the case came up again on October 29, Uzodinma was still absent in court, following which Judge Muhammad elected to refer the case to the EFCC for investigation and further necessary actions.
