Actress’ Foluke Daramola’s husband, Kayode Salako in a recent interview disclosed that he consulted 65 pastors before he married the actress.

On being skeptical when he wanted to marry a divorcee since he was also divorced at that time?

“I did not fancy Nigerian actresses. When I met Foluke, she never proved to me that she was the stereotypical actress. She is a very good cook, washes my underwear, she is homely and not outgoing. In fact, I now prod her to go out. She prefers to be at home with her husband and the children. She is very reasonable, mentally upright, focus and ambitious. She is godly and she can recite 25 psalms in the Bible off hand. She is not money conscious, fun to be with and till date, we still live as friends. We have many things in common. We are activists, we both believe in fighting for our rights.”

How many Nigeria student will want to do what a secondary school pupil who missed out on winning an iPad every year for his perfect attendance record was left disappointed after teachers only gave him a certificate and a pen.



Sam Stannard, of Brighton, missed no lessons for five years - sacrificing family holidays and battling through colds to maintain his 100 per cent record. Despite being entered into a prize draw each year for students who achieved a perfect attendance record, he never won the coveted prize - an Apple iPad.

A 40-year-old Muslim cleric, Saheed Gbadamosi, was on Tuesday arraigned in an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court for allegedly threatening to bathe a pastor with acid and destroying his church property.

The accused, a resident of Aboru area of Iyana-Ipaja, is being tried for breach of peace, assault and threat to life. The prosecutor, Insp. George Nwosu, said that the accused committed the offences on September 4 at his residence.



He told the court that the accused conspired with others still at large and stormed the defendant’s church armed with different types of dangerous weapons as they beat up the pastor identified as Emmanuel Ugbo, destroying church property and threatening to pour acid on him.

Mrs Graham, who declined to attend the disciplinary hearing, has provided a statement to be read in her defence at the hearing. In it, she claimed that she had been the 'victim' on the night.

She said that if the photo taken on the night did feature her, she was clearly unconscious and therefore it was 'posed' without her consent. She went on: 'The person in the bed in the photo is clearly not in control of the situation.' The General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS), which will decide her future, was told the case came to light after a photograph taken by the returning student was posted online.

Mrs Graham, who was not present or represented at the Edinburgh hearing, claims to have no recollection of events after 10.30pm on the night in June, 2014, after four glasses of wine.
She said she feared her drink was tampered with and insisted she was 'waiting until marriage' before having sex.
The GTCS accuses her of going with the boy from a hotel hosting the prom to a nearby Travelodge.
Mrs Graham, who taught French at Whitburn Academy, West Lothian, is alleged to have spent three hours alone with him, drinking, sharing a bed and 'repeatedly engaged in sexual activity'.

Fraser Thomson, a council employee who investigated the case, told the panel an investigation began after senior teachers learned of the picture on social media. Describing the photo, he said: 'The pupil standing in the door is Pupil A.

'You can see there what appears to be a lady in the bed. The colour showed the lady with long blonde hair.' Mr Thomson told the panel students said they saw 'Pupil A and Mrs Graham lying on the bed, one on top of the covers and one underneath the covers'. He added that she claimed that her first recollection since the night was 'when she woke up in her flat at about 5am'.

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, witnessed a historic moment since its inception with a record set by Nigerian Fathia Ayodele Kareem, who won 12 out of 15 awards to graduating students who distinguished themselves during their period of study.
Kareem, 25, an alumnus of the Wesley Girls High School, bagged the initial record of 8 out of 15.
According to Ultimate FM, when she was asked if she expected to get the number of awards, she said: “Yes and No. Yes because I worked hard by studying and no because I did not expect to receive these number of awards.”
