Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson has opened up on her experience as a mother, insisting it has changed her way of doing things.

The star actress gave birth to her daughter, Ryn, towards the end of last year, following months of speculation surrounding her pregnancy.

She later disclosed that the father of her baby is Jamie Roberts, a London-based Welsh photographer.

Speaking about her experience as a mother, Yvonne said it has changed the way she does things and even some of the actions.

According to her, her daughter is now the most important thing in her life and she will do anything to protect her, adding that she (Ryn) is her priority.

In an interview with Joy News, the actress said she finds it difficult to explain her relationship with her daughter, describing the feeling as “positive”.

Asked if motherhood has changed her, Yvonne said:

“It [motherhood] has, positively. When I’m doing anything she comes first.

I think about her before I even think about myself. I said in one interview that I thought loving my mum was the greatest of all, but the kind of love I have for her (my daughter), you can’t explain it.

I don’t want to see her cry, I don’t want to see her hurt.”

She added:

“The feeling, I don’t know what to say. Everything is so real; everything is happening so quickly. She is growing up, she’s like six months already.

"Sometimes I just stare at her and I just praise God because you just see yourself in her. It’s just amazing, but it’s (motherhood) tiring, it’s very difficult.”

Bournemouth winger, Jordon Ibe, claims he has received an offer from the head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, to play at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, a source close to the player told Owngoalnigeria.com.

22 year old Ibe, rejected the chance to switch allegiance to Nigeria in 2015, while Sunday Oliseh was still in charge.



That was two seasons ago, when he broke into the limelight while playing for Liverpool.

Ibe has since moved to Bournemouth, where he has seven assists in all competitions with a goal to his name this season.



A source close to the player claimed he was offered a chance to represent Nigeria at the World Cup later this year, but he is yet to consider the offer as he is still hoping of forcing his way into the England squad.

More details regarding Ghanaian dancehall artist, Shatta Wale's deal with Ghana's most popular entertainment company, Zylofon Media, have surfaced in recent reports.

Over the last several days speculation and rumor have run rife concerning Shatta Wale's potential move to join Ghana's biggest - and still growing - arts and entertainment company, Zylofon Media.


Initial reports had it that Zylofon Media and Shatta Wale's management were still in talks nd negotiating, while subsequent ones told Ghanaians that talks were concluded and that there is an announcement in the works.

But where previous reports failed to give details, the most recent update has delivered.

A close friend of Shatta Wale's, George Britton, has given a little more detail regarding the lucrative deal being offered to Shatta Wale for him to join Zylofon Media.

According to him, Shatta Wale's been offered $1.5 million, a house, and a car as a sign up fee to join the media giant.

So its been 3 years since Nollywood actor, Muna Obiekwe, left us, but his memories still lives on in the hearts of those who truly loved him while he was alive.

Muna died after a prolonged battle with kidney failure and his best friend, actress Ejiro Okurame who stood by him all through his dying days, took out time to remember the actor today as it is exactly 3years since he passed away.

The Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi has certainly been getting a lot of attention recently and he has shown again why he should be knocking on the door of the first team.

A Nigerian guy, identified as Adedeji Ibukun Jonathan, who went viral back in September after he lost his bag while helping accident victims in Lekki, Lagos, has given an update on his situation..

The bag which contained his passport, visa, identification card, his school and NYSC credentials, and his laptop went missing barely 3 days to his resumption of his masters program at the University of Surrey and he pleaded with people on the internet to help him recover them.



Now, although, Adedeji did not recover his documents, he has begun his masters program.

Barely 24 hours after the autopsy report of Tagbo surfaced and Chime Amaechi’s family claimed DJ Olu and Chime were probably poisoned cause of a business deal and the Lagos State Police Command revealed that it recovered substances suspected to be hard drugs in the car the bodies of the young men were found in, a video supposed to be that of DJ Olu and Chime has surfaced..

Recall, according to the Lagos State Acting Commissioner of Police, Edgar Imohimi, “there was no mark of violence on the bodies of the deceased”, however, “autopsies would be carried out to know the cause of death” and the substances found in the car would “be analysed.”

But now, Olisa Blogazine has released videos purportedly taken by DJ Olu and Chime on their last night on earth.

Olisa source indicates that the videos, which showed them laughing and having fun, with no inkling that death was hovering, were recorded on their phones.

An intriguing part of the video showed boxes of money in the boot of their car. If this video was really taken on the same day the young men died, then it begs the question: what happened to the money? Is it tied to their death?

The fact that the Nigerian police didn’t list boxes of money among the items found in the car with the young men.

Two of Davido’s boys who dropped late Tagbo at the hospital have been arrested!

In case you missed it, Tagbo’s death and other similar news have been the trend of the day for almost a week..

It was then revealed that two of Davido’s guys, dropped Tagbo at the hospital and when he reportedly died before the nurse got to their car, the allegedly refused to give their contacts.



Now, the Two have been arrested by the Lagos State police command, a source close to the situation told LIB exclusively.

The men, who were with Tagbo the night they were all partying to celebrate Tagbo’s birthday, were arrested today after Davido brought them himself to see the commissioner of Police in Ikeja who then ordered their arrest following preliminary investigation.

Bayern Munich have confirmed they will be without Manuel Neuer until January, after the German keeper broke his left foot for the third time in 2018.

The 31-year-old originally suffered a hairline fracture to a metatarsal in March, but soon returned to action after a minor operation which saw a screw inserted into his foot.

Neuer was pulled out of training at Sabener Strasse on Monday, complaining of a problem in his foot once more.

He was immediately examined at the training ground before heading to hospital in Tubingen early on Tuesday morning for a final scan that confirmed he had once again cracked his metatarsal.

Neuer, for many the world’s best goalkeeper, was operated on and had a plate set against the fracture, before Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge revealed Bayern don’t expect him to return until the new year.

Rummenigge said;

"The fact that Manuel Neuer has once again suffered an injury makes us incredibly sorry for him," 

"The operation has gone perfectly and that is the most important thing. Now we are now looking forward, together with our captain, and Manuel will be back to his previous best and available to us again in January."

With Neuer absent, Bayern will rely on No.2 Sven Ulreich to step into the breach, with 17-year-old Christian Frutchl acting as his back up.

This is Neuer’s third operation on the same foot in six months.

Officials of Nigeria Customs Service in Abuja have revealed that they have intercepted a total of 18 exotic cars.



The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Hammed Ali, during a briefing in Abuja on Tuesday, explained the reasons for the interception of vehicles.

He said the reason for the interception of vehicles bothers on non-payment of duties and the purchase of bulletproof cars without a permit from the office of the security adviser.



Some of the cars intercepted include two range rovers; one Rolls Royce; four Lexus jeeps; three G-wagon; one Prado jeep and one navigator jeep, among others.

Uniport student Ifeanyi Dike who murdered his neighbour 8-yr-old girl, revealed that power outage aided his escape and hunger led to his re-arrest.

He, however, pleaded for mercy on the murder of the eight-year-old girl, Chikamso Mezuwuba.

Dike, who spoke in Port Harcourt while he was re-paraded by the Rivers State Police Command, insisted that the Investigative Police Officer, IPO, Johnbosco Okoroeze, nabbed over his (Dike’s) escape was innocent.

Ifeanyi Dike killed the eight-year-old Chikamso, removed her vital organs and was on his way to dispose of her remains when he was arrested by a local vigilante group in Okporo community, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state.

The suspected ritualist had escaped from the custody of State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, but was re-arrested in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, last week, Thursday.

Dike told newsmen that he took advantage of the darkness in the premises of SCID, when he was asked to go into the cell and escaped, noting that nobody knew when he sneaked out.

Dike said:

“At the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, after I entered my statement late in the evening of the day of my first parade, my IPO asked me to go inside the cell.
“That was when I had the opportunity to run away. My IPO did not help me escape. I know what I did was wrong, please forgive me and have mercy.”
Dike disclosed that he was re-arrested after his successful disappearance from Port Harcourt, when he got involved in another crime in the place he had escaped to in Plateau State. He explained that he was faced with starvation after he arrived Plateau State and in an attempt to steal food he was apprehended by residents of the area, who later handed him over to the Police.

He said;

“I escaped to Jos. Having stayed for several days without food and due to the injuries I sustained, I was unable to get food to eat. So due to the hunger, I decided to source for food and that was where I was caught and handed over to the Police.
“When I got to the Police station, at first I was hiding my identity, but on interrogation I got fed up and gave them (Police) my aunty’s phone number.
As soon as the Police called my aunty, she told them that I was declared wanted by the Rivers State Police command. She also handed my IPO’s phone number to the Police officers and they later confirmed that I am on the wanted list.
After I was confirmed, I was detained and returned back to Rivers State on Sunday.”
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, Mr. Ahmed Zaki, has described the re-arrest of Dike as an act of God, noting that providence has brought the suspect back to face justice.

He said:

“Today (yesterday), with profound humility, I present to you the most wanted ritual killer, Mr. Ifeanyi Maxwell Dike. His re-arrest was made possible by God Almighty, through your numerous prayers and concerns, following his escape three weeks ago.
“I wish to assure you that justice will not only be done, but be seen to be done in the circumstance to bring the full weight of the law to bear on him and any other person implicated in the cause of further investigations.”

Founder and leader of Glorious Wave Church International, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi has in a recent interview indicated that his wealth cannot be measured due to the blessing of God upon his life.

Speaking in an interview with TV hostess Deloris Frimpong Manso, the Man of God indicated that he owned many houses and cars. He said some of his houses were located in Trassaco.

According to Yen.com.gh, he added that he did not have a net worth even though he doubled as a businessman.

He revealed his dream of owning 3 private jets and having one on his church premises at his disposal.

The Man of God said he started his church with about 55 members but boasts of about 1000 members now. The prophet is noted for his benevolence and heart of gold.

He indicated that he had given out some 202 cars to some people in the country. He however said that giving out cars was done according to the instructions he received from God.

He indicated that at one point in his ministry, he was gifted 8 cars in one night by a church member. He added that he had also received a house with Jacuzzi fitted in it as a gift. The Man of God however made some startling revelations during the interview. He said that cocaine and lottery were not bad.

Speaking on cocaine, the man of God indicated that cocaine was created by God but its use was deemed illegal due to the laws on drugs governing countries.

The 23 year old suspected child killer and ritualist, Ifeanyi Dike, who was today paraded has begged Nigerians for mercy saying no one aided his escape from police custody in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Ifeanyi Dike, a second year Physics student of the University of Port Harcourt had escaped from the premises of the State Criminal Investigation Department in Port Harcourt after he was paraded for allegedly killing his eight-year old niece, Victory Chikamso for ritual purposes.

He was captured three after his escape by men of the Plateau state Police Command at Barkin Ladi.

On his extradition to Port Harcourt, Dike told DAILY POST that he escaped on his own.

He said he got frustrated by traveling from Rivers state to Jos.

According to him;

“I am a student of UNIPORT. When I got to Jos, I started hiding again even though I know that nobody knows me there.

“I was living inside an uncompleted building in that place but I could not endure anymore because I was hungry. I now came out and somebody looked for my trouble.

“The Hausa boy then use something like knife to cut my hand, out of anger I took a screw driver and stabbed him. That’s how they took us to police station.

“When we got to the Police, I told the Police who I am but they did not believe me until I called one of my aunties that confirmed to them.

“I know what I have done is wrong. I know that the world is not happy with me but I want to say I am sorry.”

The Chairman, National Committee on Flood Relief and Rehabilitation, Aliko Dangote says it has provided N250 million as relief assistance to victims of the flood in Benue.

Dangote said on Sunday in Lagos that this was in response to the request by the Benue State Government.

Recall, the former President Goodluck Jonathan had on October 11, 2012, inaugurated the Dangote-led 34-member National Committee on Flood Relief and Rehabilitation – charged with raising additional funds to support the government’s efforts to provide adequate relief and post-impact rehabilitation to persons and communities affected by floods in the country.

The committee had also approved the release of one of its completed IDP Hostels in the state as a temporary shelter for some of the displaced people.

The committee chairman said that asides the donation to Benue, his committee had also donated N150 million to provide relief assistance to flood victims in Anambra.

The committee had also released N118 million to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) – to augment the N1.6 billion released by the Federal Government for procurement of food and non-food relief materials in aid of flood victims in 16 states.

The states are Abia, Akwa-Ibom, Bayelsa, Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Enugu, Abuja FCT, Kebbi, Kwara, Lagos, Niger, Ondo, Oyo, Plateau and Sokoto. The committee was currently implementing the various projects in the 24 states affected by the 2012 nationwide floods. Nigerian singer Tekno Miles is catching major flak on social media as Kenyans on Twitter are roasting over allegations that he gave a horrible performance at a paid show yesterday in Nairobi.

According to reports, the concert was riddled with technical and security failures and Tekno’s 28-minute performance was dismissed as a ‘joke’.

On social media, popular Kenyan DJ, Creme De La Creme, said the Nigerian singer arrived the event unprepared, was not in sync with the band and turned around to blame him, the DJ, for his failure..

Nigerian rapper, Ruggedman, has finally opened up on the report that former Big Brother Nigeria housemate, Uriel, publicly turned down the invitation of rapper, who invited her to his video game contest, Rugged Premier League.

The incident triggered many Nigerians who felt Uriel was rude and condescending in her response..

However, Ruggedman doesn’t think she was rude.

In an exclusive chat with Sunday Scoop, he said;

“It’s nothing serious. It’s just people trying to blow things out of proportion. Uriel and I have been friends for over seven years and that’s why I could send her a message that way and we even joked about it.

If you go back to read our exchange on social media, you would see she wrote that she had an interview on that day and that’s why she couldn’t make it. She reacted that way because we are friends and not because she was trying to be rude.”

The rapper who last released an album in 2006 also spoke on when next he would be putting out a body of work.

He said;

“I should release an album because I have new songs with 2face, Small Doctor, Koker, Efe Warri Boy, among others. However, I can’t tell when exactly the album would be coming out.

The newest song I have is titled, Is Police Your Friend, and I used it to talk about police harassment issues which have become too rampant. The song features the voice of the police PRO and she said that it is wrong for a policeman to check a citizen’s phone without a warrant.

She also made clarification on other issues such as tinted windows’ permit, and others. I’ve also been going on a radio tour talking about these same issues. It’s all about entertaining and enlightening the people at the same time. I don’t have to be an ambassador of the police to take any step that would educate the people.

As an artiste who has a voice, you should go beyond just entertaining to making an impact on social issues. The good thing is that the campaign that I have been championing has been yielding fruits,”

Speaking on his relationship with PMAN, he said;

“Nigerian music is going places now but only a group of people and some companies are making money out of it.

Forget the fact that a handful of artistes are getting money from shows. If they could only stop and think that if they monetize their music and videos the right way, they would make much more money.

Right now, telcos sell music and keep 70 per cent of the money, while the artistes, who own the song, are left to share 30 per cent with the content provider.

That is what PMAN is trying to fight and that is why I joined the association.”

Explaining why it is taking him so long to get married, he said;

“I’ve not been that lucky when it comes to relationships. There was someone I was supposed to get married to, but her mum preferred somebody else who was richer than I was. I was just coming up in the industry then.

However, she regretted it later. I want a woman who would understand and support my job. I want a woman who would be confident enough to know that she’s my number one even if she sees me with 10 women in public.”
