Politics / Re: Why the SS/SE alliance will spell the downfall of GEJ in 2015. by Chessic: 3:01pm On Jan 06, 2014
OP, how come you gave GEJ 50% of the votes in the SW? My friend, it's APC all the way in the SW. There's no way in hell GEJ is getting 5% in SW. The PDP will be murdered and buried in 2015.

Politics / Re: JTF Nabs Bomb Manufacturer. by Chessic: 6:46am On Jan 06, 2014
It is apparent that the bomb manufacturer must be from the SS/SE. Else they would have mentioned his name gleefully and even demolish his property. But since it is the JTF commander's kinsman you can see that miraculously they were able to apprehend him. If this were in Maiduguri, the headline would be 'JTF kills suspected Boko Haram bomb manufacturer.
Politics / Re: North Hates GEJ For Corruption, Why Do Southerners Support Him? by Chessic: 8:30am On Dec 21, 2013
Donmams:
Quite funny i tell you. And yet they say northerners are the ones impeding the progress of this nation. We may have had northern military rulers. Some were good some were corrupt but we never voted for them to be in power. Yet the only credible candidate the northern people have provided in an election has been rejected by the south for alternatives like the totally corrupt GEJ. So who is really holding Nigeria back?
Your question is very apt. You can imagine a guy just opened a thread predicting the states GEJ is likely to win or lose in 2015. By the guys own admission, GEJ is likely to win 90% in the entire SS/SE (as if those figures are normal for an election). If this is not southerners condoning corruption and incompetence, someone should please tell me what is.

Raggedy_Ann: The North and south-west may have 80% voting strength geographically but demographically it isn't that overwhelming. The polls will tell in due time. Everyone should be allowed to chose their battles as they see fit.
Meaning?

obyrich: Why exempt Imo and Rivers from your annihilation plan? The last time I checked Bamanga Tukur who is the bone of contention in the PDP imbrioglio is a Northerner. Atiku pulled a reasonable chunk of PDP loyalists into ACN and lost at the polls in 2007. The North is known for blood spilling and thank God your monster, Boko Haram, which you created to make the North ungovernable for GEJ and life unbearable for the Igbos up North has turned its bloody fangs on you! Keep threatening blood. Your governor, Alhaji Okorocha, is kneeling members of Imo State house of Assembly down at the Govt house. That's the kind of fiefdom you guys want to turn Nigeria into. So Amechi is now a saint simply because he joined APC? Your APC election riggers are still in detention in Imo. As for threatening the Biafrans, I suggest you go ahead and pull the trigger.

The 'Boko Haram is a ploy to make the country ungovernable for GEJ' line is sooo outdated. Don't worry the north has no plans to annihilate anyone. What i am simply saying is that if your benefactor, GEJ fails to rig the 2015 elections, and fail he will, we are fully aware that the SS/SE have made plans to secede from Nigeria by the use of force. While the north will be more than happy to be rid treacherous people like the SE/SS, we will not allow you to kill our people, insult our sensibilities and then break away on your own accord. No way.

Politics / DPO Escapes Lynching As Police Fail To Disrupt APC Rally In Rivers by Chessic: 6:41am On Dec 10, 2013
The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in-charge of Special Area, with headquarters at Rumuodomaya, headquarters of Obio/Akpor local government area of Rivers State, Mr Akwuonu Allwell, yesterday escaped lynching when policemen attempted to disrupt a gathering of members of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
This was as unknown gunmen fired shots severally at a rally organised by APC members at Okomoko, headquarters of Etche LGA of the state, despite the presence of heavily armed policemen at the venue.
Trouble started when Akwuonu, a chief superintendent of police, came to the rally organised by APC members in Ward 12, Obio/Akpor, at the Rumuigbo Civic Hall, saying that he had orders to prevent the rally from holding in the community.
Unable to convince the organisers of the rally, led by former member of the House of Representatives, Hon Ike Chinwo, on why the rally should not hold, the DPO, who was dressed in camouflage, left the venue and later returned with police reinforcement.
LEADERSHIP observed that the police chief’s return to the venue of the rally angered members of the APC, who pounced on him, but for the quick intervention of the Chief of Staff, Government House, Port Harcourt, Hon Tony Okocha, who pleaded with the APC supporters to spare Akwuonu.
It was observed that apparently sensing danger, the policemen, who came in three Toyota Hilux vans, began shooting into the air to scare the broom-wielding crowd and prevent them from descending on them.
The police, noticing that their shooting into the air did not prevent the APC supporters from advancing towards them, fled with their patrol vehicles into various directions.
Speaking to the crowd of APC supporters before the police invasion, Okocha, who is also an indigene of Rumuigbo community, said no amount of intimidation by security agencies will stop the people of the state, especially the supporters of Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi from identifying with him.
He stated that the governor had left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the APC and would never return to the party.
Contacted, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Mr Ahmed Mohammed could not confirm the two incidents as he was out of town and was yet to be briefed on the developments.

Culture / Re: How Is A Chicken Slaughtered In Your Culture? by Chessic: 7:15am On Dec 03, 2013
Donmams: There are diverse ways of killing a chicken in our different cultures. Some are downright funny and others are simply horrible. I know of cultures that just prefer to twist the neck of a chicken 360 degrees! Damn!
As for my culture, we just get a sharp knife, say the chickens last prayers and voila! Let's have your say. How are chickens slaughtered in your culture.
The way some people slaughter chicken is unfortunate. I know of some cultures that simple boil hot water and throw a live chicken into it! Man's inhumanity to chickens. Chai!

Politics / Re: Why Late Pres. Yar’adua Was Sneaked Into Nigeria Without Jonathan’s Knowledge by Chessic: 7:51am On Nov 23, 2013
The truth is Yaradua should have called for early elections after realising that he was no longer fit to hold office. As it is he died and we inherited a regime determined to bring Nigeria to its knees.

Politics / Re: Should There Be Cross-migration If Nigeria Disintegrates? by Chessic: 5:16pm On Nov 20, 2013
Fact is let everyone return to his region. Let northerners in the south return to the north. Let southerners in the north return to the South. It's as simple as that. One thing i know is that the Igbos will suffer most. There are more Igbo economic interests in the north than northern interests in the south. I can only imagine as the igbos weep when they are forced to leave all their businesses and assets in the north.

vizboy: so you are trying to say that it was southerners that said if they dont get power back there would bloodshed Right.

Keep deceiving yourself, you are on a long thing
The OP is right on point my friend. Please tell us who promised to make the country ungovernable should GEJ win elections. Please provide evidence and not useless hearsay.

greatgod2012:

GEJ is not a newbie. He was once a deputy governor, once a governor, once a Vice President, once an Acting President, and now a sitting President, who wants to recontest in 2015. So, tell me, how is he a newbie in politics?
So buhari should not contest because he has been president before? Is that your reasoning? Yet GEJ can go for another term despite the fact he has been president twice already? Can you see your life? Hypocrisy of the highest order.
Religion / Re: I'm A Muslim And I Love Jesus! by Chessic: 8:07am On Nov 10, 2013
OP is so on point. Modern Christians have totally abandoned the teachings of Christ. They are more loyal to their prosperity preaching pastors than they are of Jesus Christ. There is not a single point raised by the OP that ain't true.
Nairaland / General / How's Electricity In Your Area by Chessic: 10:14pm On Sep 21, 2013
I live in Kaduna State and my area has not seen electricity supply for 3 days now which is slightly unusual. Heard many others complaining about the same thing in other areas. Is it just my area or is it widespread? Please tell me about the electricity status in your area.
