Exemption or overage from National Youth Service is determined by the age you entered during your year one registration. What it means is that if you are 25years in year one and you are expected to graduate at 29 in a 4year course. That status quo maintains whether unforseen circumstances of strike or extra year that might turn you above 30. The age you entered during your first year in school is all that matters.

Yes. To make a little bit clearer, let's do it this way. Both ways you stated are basically the same thing. Exemption actually is when one is 30yrs and above as at time of graduating/when one is (at least) 30yrs as at when being mobilized. A person may graduate at the age of 29yrs but due to delays of any sort, he/she might eventually hit the 30yrs mark before mobilization which now makes him/her to be exempted. Simply put, as long as you've not clocked 30yrs while waiting for mobilization. Let's use A15 for instance, as long as he/she has not reached 30 on or before march/february (depending when mobilization starts.

thank u very much for ur responds, the person in question graduated since 2011 when she was 28 but refused to serve due to some activities, but now she has decided to serve now with A15, she was mobilized last year but she was so busy with some programs and couldn't make it. Thanks for ur respond.

Something is wrong some where then, but i know they will retify the problem in this batch A. Even thou you obtain another waec now it can't solve the problem at hand because the result won't be available before the next batch, but pray nysc should get theirself right with this coming batch.

The last nysc seminal i attended, we are told that the first waec you did will be automatically come up to your registration on the site, even thou if you are not using the result again. The only remedy here is that you obtain the COB form from the first bank for retification. All is well sister.

All iz well abt dat.. Am not sure if u can use Neco cus most pple complained abt it on C14 thread bt maybe dey going to provide Neco verification pin also so dat dose dat used Neco would be able to change dere DOB..
Many problem occurred during d online registration and dose tins happened just bcus is a new development, so d prob will be minimal wen dey open registration for A15. Hope for d best dear.. Good morning

@bolded.. I think wat u have to do is go to first bank branch and obtain waec verification pin, tru dat u will be able to change ur DOB to d correct one bt let d site be open for A15 registration before u do so

Pls I was supposed to serve with batch C. But when I registered for the online reg, my date of birth was changed to 1 oct 1984 instead of 10 oct 1986. Pls can somebody help me on how to go about it against Batch A 2015. Thanks.
